As a Blender user who has spent over 1200 hours creating realistic characters and creatures I found this video really inspiring, it really makes me want to explore new styles like cartoonish and even start learning how to draw 2D, this video is pure gold, you are amazing!

This is called 3D Effect. Its basically 2D but have 3D Effect. It can be soley done in 2D too. But also in '3D & Back' as you did.
AMAZING WORK MAN! and LETS BRING THIS TERM into MAIN STUFF!

You took us halfway and then left us. Since you published this video, I stopped learning on the Moho program and started learning on the Blender program, but because you did not mention references for us to follow in the learning journey, except for the donut course, I had difficulty finding the appropriate courses to learn the goal we want, which is 3D to 2D, and every time I return to your channel in the hope that you will publish any updates or videos telling us what stage you have reached in the Blender program and find nothing, please publish a new video telling us about your work with Toon Shading and about the Blender and what results you got in this period.

Oh man. That was totally not my intention but you're right. I tried to get into toon shaded 3D but I haven't made much headway myself. My paid work still consists mostly of 2D work and graphic design because it will take me some time for my 3D skills to be good enough.

@@RigTheory Thank you for your reply, I apologize if my tone is harsh, I don't mean to make you feel guilty, but we really need a course that teaches us how to use the blender for 2D, not grease Pencil, but toon Shading and making characters and backgrounds look like cartoons, but in reality, we can move the camera as we want it is a dream for those who have problems with perspective.
Please if you can make a new video about this or mention any reference we can use it.
      Thank you.

This is exactly what I have been looking for, for a long time. I don't see much discussion happening around this subject, and I found this video! Surprised to find out that it was uploaded just 11 hours ago. I feel this is the future of 2D. Imagine being able to create something in 3D which is indistinguishable from flexible 2D animation. I feel it is possible, but will take a lot of research!

For sure, Stonely! That GDC talk was from back in 2015- right around the time Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild came out 😆. I think there's room for lots more projects in that style😍

You have some wonderful work on your channel. How did you rig those characters?

@@RigTheory Thank you! Actually those characters have own movements already there from Vyond animator. I just connect them frame by frame. That is it. So easy. Now I wanna animate characters by myself on professional softwares like Moho or Toon Boom👍

    I am not a 2d artist
I wanted to make 3d look like 2d
And tried to make anime characters
But the tutorials aren't clear enough because most of them don't speak English or they do time-lapse
For someone who is a complete beginner, I really don't like time-lapse 😂
Maybe one day I will be able to make what I want

I think we'll need to build a study of toon shaded 3D from several tutorials.
