    Hydrogen production is still expensive, BUT it has been declining steadily as researchers find more efficient ways to produce this fuel. It will be exciting to see more hydrogen fuel cell vehicles on the road.

      情歌丸子 The vehicle itself is 100% zero emissions. It releases only water vapor and oxygen. Producing hydrogen is still expensive and dependent on fossil fuels. However, there are solar hydrogen stations that Toyota and Honda have built. Those are hydrogen production stations based on completely renewable solar energy. Solar energy is transformed to electrical energy and that electricity is used to split water atoms to obtain hydrogen. I'm not sure how efficient they are at producing mass quantities of hydrogen, but they are improving efficiency and current HFCV owners can fill up at those stations. By they I mean universities, the DOE, and private companies have been doing research for decades on how to reduce costs. Soon enough we'll see more and more of these hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

    Liquid hydrogen comes from water. It requires electricity to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen but so little it can be done with solar. As the hydrogen is used in the vehicle, the resulting emissions are again oxygenated and emit as water vapor. Using hydrogen fuel to charge batteries which power an electric motor for direct propulsion was the innovation hydrogen needed. Attempts to use hydrogen fuel in a direct propulsion motor like a gas engine, failed to provide enough horsepower

    What Toyota has to do is make a long range luxury 7 seater SUV fuel cell vehicle if it wants to increase sales. Americans like SUVs and range. This is what Elon Musk is getting right. Learn from him!

    cars have been invented to run on water. it takes 3 gallons of water to make 1 killagram of hydrogen. $50 to fuel up. why not just use plain water.

    Starting at $54,900. The largest number of people in any society are poor and can not afford to by even the least expensive new car, therefore, the largest group of drivers drive the oldest and least maintained vehicles providing the most pollution. Most of the new vehicles are still gas engines only. We've so much atmospheric carbon that we can no longer speculate the results, we know a few rapidly approaching scenarios for planet Earth and none are good, but who know what the unknown rapid climate change has in order or if the organic life such as humans will survive those changes. We needed to stop carbon emissions years ago, That lower emission vehicles remain available to only a small part of our population is tragic for us.

      We will be force by nature to abandon the money system. Money and greed is the reason why man will fall. We have the technology and the ability to allow all people to use HH2 vehicles. Money is the only factor.

    • @d.s7741
      @d.s7741 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's a grim speculation, based on fear. Natural disasters, which are and have been throughout history, are a more common occurrence that will cause more damage to mankind. And you can think meteor strikes over climate change. People die everyday from natural causes from health, and stupid things that they do. The automotive industry only offers a mode of transportation for people who need mobility. There is nothing bad going on here. Maybe the stupid human error of the people who have a hard time, in vain, trying to operate a motor vehicle. Wanna see something that will make you cringe? Keep an eye out on the development of the self-driving vehicles. Other than that, life is what you make of it. Be educated, and use both halves of your brain, and you will get out of life, what it was intended to give. And it has NOTHING to do with how much money you have.
