Subaru's are in high demand. My 05 STi hasn't depreciated in the 6 years I've owned it. I paid 19,500 for it and recently when looking at a brz was offered 20 to trade it in. the dealer would probably flip it for 23. it's nuts.

Dont get me wrong, I loved that Impala from Roadkill.. Largely because I'm a huge fan of Rat Rods and bold and brash muscle cars (that engine/exhaust tho) But that Subarute? That thing is amazing! both for the quality of work in only 2/3 days but if nothing else the fact that it just seemed to be a damn nice car, that I personally LOVED the look of.

Im still kinda butthurt that they didnt weld the rear diff on the impala. That would have made it so much better of a car (Kinda). Still though, it was super cool to see all this footage
Babyblue1992 my guess is, if they welded the diff they would have torn that old boat to pieces with the extra traction and massive torque. The driveline from the trans yoke back was only designed for a third of the power they stuffed in her.

Toms Tech 7 guys built the subarute? if so, yeah thats another story. But regardless Roadkill's build was lacking imo. Specially it being built for people traveling an ocean to colab with them.
As much as I like Roadkill, I'm kinda inclined to agree. I loved the Impala, that engine and the way it sounded, but it felt like they kinda phoned it in on the build.....
As a big Roadkill fan, who has only seen (but did enjoy) a couple of your videos, I have to say that this video right here was the best part of the whole collab. And what a great idea, I must add. I'm not sure if you guys have done another one yet, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out. It's funny, because the Roadkill guys are really more muscle car people, and I'm more of a Japanese car guy myself (and I freaking love utes, I wish we had more of them here!), but I love the "make it work long enough to get to point B" nature of Roadkill and Finnegan and Freiburger have great personalities that really make me love the show. So here's a story: I watch MCM religiously, but due to financial trouble, I end up disconnected from the internet for a while. Move to a new city, reconnect and hop on youtube. Come to find out, if i had stayed in town for a few more days, I could have met my heroes when they traveled across the globe to basically where I used to work. FML

Because swapping a big block engine into a small block car in a parking lot with hand tools (no power tools) over just two days or so, with just one friend, is minimal effort.
The Subarute looked slick with the turbo mounted thru the hood and I liked the fact you made the hood fit after that. You won me over and I subscribed and looking forward to see more of your creations.
I cannot believed i just discovered your channel. spent my night watching some videos and truly loved it. You guys represent Australian spirit , fun and down to earth. By the way , i loved the fact you did not cut the reaction of the electrician guy for the yaris :) Hope i ll have the chance to meet you in sydney one day !
People take this way too seriously and get way too butthurt. If Roadkill actually gave a shit they could've built another Vette Kart and killed the Subaru. They'd rather do burnouts and make noise, sometimes having fun is actually more important that "winning" or trying to "beat" everyone else all the time. Sure I would've liked to see the Impala finished off a little more, but there's more to life than autocross, and you either get it our you don't.

Breaking an axle shaft is never pretty with c-clip rearend.
They disconnected the power steering, add a lock diff and trying to turn at slow speed would've been much more difficult.

People take this way too seriously and get way too butthurt. If Roadkill actually gave a shit they could've built another Vette Kart and killed the Subaru. They'd rather do burnouts and make noise, sometimes having fun is actually more important that "winning" or trying to "beat" everyone else all the time. Sure I would've liked to see the Impala finished off a little more, but there's more to life than autocross, and you either get it our you don't.
All those episodes were great and the Suby was extremely cool as well. Great job guys!
