5:30 Ah, Parkway Parade-a classic hangout spot I visit weekly. It’s one of the oldest malls in Singapore and a favorite for those living in the southeast. Just a short walk from Parkway Parade, you’ll find East Coast Park, a perfect place to unwind. East Coast Park offers something for everyone: scenic beachfronts, cycling and jogging trails, barbecue pits, and plenty of spots to just relax and enjoy the sea breeze. Whether you’re up for some exercise, a picnic, or simply watching the waves, it’s a great escape from the hustle and bustle.
We love east coast park, we enjoy cycling there from our place, once we hit Kallang we can use the park connectors all the way to the beach and the food lagoon.
Did the same getting lost on the busses looking for my old camp. Got off at Nee Soon village and didn't recognise a thing. Back on the bus, then recognised a few familiar names before getting off on Sembawang Rd and walking up Transit Rd. Great memories of my service in Singapore.
@WONDERLUSTworld Been back to Singapore over the years, yes its changed, but still like walking around Little India or Geylang to see the older buildings. Great times in Singapore.
This episode is brilliant! I thought I was the only one crazy enough to do a random bus hop to see where it would take me, but looks like you're a member of that club too!
@@WONDERLUSTworld It's been a while since I did it. Last time, I was undecided on where to eat lunch, so I simply took a random bus or two, and ended up in Ang Mo Kio Ave 10 (I believe it's the Teck Ghee market). It's a valid way of randomizing lunch I guess.
That looked fun, we like doing that, catching a bus to see where it goes, and getting the top front seat, score! By the way, love your fringe and you look about 15! We found a Salvation Army shop in Hong Kong, by chance and got a wee tram as a souvenir.
The top front seat really is the best one. When I see people sitting there on their phones I always think the view is wasted on them! Aww thanks, I'm not sure about the hair yet, but I guess it'll grow on me...sorry couldn't resist that bad joke!
Ahh you were at Eunos! You missed the $2 nasi lemak that only opens in the morning and always has a long queue. Great value for money and the sambal is first class! All the best in your future endeavours.
@@WONDERLUSTworld Oh nice. If you're back, there is also the teochew noodles and lor mee stalls that are side by side and also feature long lines. Again, they close up by around 12.30pm - 1pm. The yellow bean fritter from the fried snacks shop is also great in the morning, warm with a coat of sesame seeds. The chicken rice stall that uses black utensils and plates has free flow soup that's very hearty and tasty with big chunks of veg and free chicken feet. And the opposite block from the back of the hawker centre has a pandan waffle place that always has a long queue - crispy on the outside, generous filling on the inside. The double-length kopitiam next to it has a halal western food stall with a great $3 mushroom aglio olio. It's VERY spicy so be sure to request for less spice.
Dairy Farm Mall, 4 Dairy Farm Lane S677622. Next to the German European School and directly opposite the Dairy Farm Nature Park. Closest MRT station is DT3 Hillview station. By the way you looked like one of the members from The Beatles Band in this video especially when you put on your shades.
I did see a few kids in that uniform at the bus stop actually. I'm not sure if that's a compliment unless you really like the Beatles hair styles...but er thanks! Wasn't the image I took to the hairdressers. haha
You missed some good and affordable food at the Eunos area 😂Went passed the popular Eunos bar chor mee (soup version) at the coffee shop, there are some good food stalls at the hawker. Also the Vegan Burg store near the shop that sells parrots etc. (p.s. they even have an outlet in US).
Cool! How can somebody get lost in Singapore. The buses will get you to some interchange and or Mrt station connection so bring you to malls or estates and please go bus hopping again and again
It's a surprisingly big island with lots to explore! I have got lost many times but the good thing, as you say is you can easily get back home. I'm glad you enjoyed this one, I wasn't sure how it would come out not knowing where I'd end up. But I will do another one for sure!
Wow... Thanks for doing the route to nowhere video.... Honestly, I won't do that in other countries. Not sure where I would end up.... probably in a notorious part of town.
I had a good time, will do it again. In other countries it might not be such a good idea but here it's all good. Another reason we love living here and making it home.
@@genegenetan great question. It depends on the days activities. This fjallraven in my new one - it changes from a backpack to a shoulder tote which I love!! I can also have the tripod poking out the top and close the zip part way. It’s the larger size one so my gear all fits inside. My north face is more comfortable for wearing all day. It’s also completely waterproof. We got caught out in a storm on a boat and everything was dry inside. Jonty has the larger size so the tripod goes in there or he carries it. The fuse box keeps its shape really well and has a padded back too. The kids have fuse box for school and we find if we’re going away for a weekend stay we can fit all we need inside. My fjallraven has become my everyday bag and my north face one for longer exploring days and hikes. Hope that helps!
@@WONDERLUSTworld was looking at the fusebox 20l as a like exploring bag. thinking that should be a good capacity to go for. and also seeing multiple appearances on your vlogs, seems like it makes a good exploring companion!
They've served us well over the years. you can string elastic through the front too to hold things and we add carabiners and clip out shoes to it too. Enjoy.
Who's the new teenager you hired as your host for this week's video blog? 😂 She does look vaguely familiar, like someone I've seen in your previous clips. 🤣 Anyway, she did a fantastic job with the new blog concept and you should consider keeping her as your permanent wonderlust host! The Dairy Farm mall foodcourt looks cosy.
Used to play this game when we are in secondary school with friends, last time we have the bus stamps concession so can travel non stop. You miss the famous eunos bak chok mee there , been selling for slightly more than a hundred years.
Ah the lift was coming up and then I went back down in it. I didn't want the doors to shut and my camera to be left on a floor without me haha I was filming it all by myself.
Thanks! It's not a look I'm quite used to yet, but I love that you think it's cute. 😄 The Char Sui was a little salty sadly. Not sure I'd get it again. Wished I had the açai instead!
I'm a Singaporean and I wander to the eunos area (after work one fine day) where the green open space is. It was a rather nice place. Tks for the great content.
The furry bedroom slippers were so cute 🥰
I know!! In the UK I'd need them but not so much here. It was hard to resist though.
new haircut! Looks really cute on you. love watching you wander around and find new things.
Thank you! 😊

Oo first time im seeing blue interior
Do you mean on the bus? Can't say I had noticed!

Aww thanks!
Euros , Chinese hawker has nice coffee. Indian, mee goreng is one of the best..
ooh thanks for the tip. Jonty can try the coffee there another time we go.
