Stumbled on your vlog and it was always, with great curiosity, how expatriates view our city and integrate themselves into our country. As in every cases, there are pros and cons and I hope you will find that special little corner here in Singapore to call it home. As one explores the world, values, perspectives and needs changes. It can only make you stronger. Hope you find fulfillment, new discoveries, purpose and perhaps love in this new chapter of your life here. Welcome to Singapore😃 I just subscribe and will be following your channel.
Hi Swizzyinsg, I am really happy to know that you love and enjoy staying here in Singapore. Hope that you will make this place your second home. Do. please take care as you are staying alone.
Seriously! You come to Singapore is a good choice. Just look around Singapore and Asia compared to Europe and America. Really Singapore can't be wrong. Really
"Yalor!" thats 100% singish... you put that phrase at the centre of the screen, well done! Many youtuber missed this phrase when talking about Singish. Keep it up again, will support your channel.
You made the right decision to stay. I see Singaporeans embracing you. I just hope the Singapore government will give you a PR soon--this will lower costs considerably and make formal integration even faster. Good luck!❤
First, sorry to hear that Singapore "caused" you to break up. But you seemed happy. (Happier?) So I guess you know what you want, and what you want to get out of life. I hope Singapore brings you valuable life lessons and that you find joy and purpose here for many many years.
Not only Singapore, all East Asian countries are great, you also have to like China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia
I'm surprised that you don't take off your shoes when entering a host's house in Switzerland! We do that here in Ontario, unless the host specifically tells you not to worry about taking them off! Is it like that all across Europe, or just Switzerland?
No, I was in Netherlands, Germany for eg and you are supposed to take off your shoes before you enter the host's house. Never been to Switzerland, so I don't know. So it isn't the same culture thing across Europe. Maybe Swiss like the British don't require guests to take it off.
Swizzyinsg - I think you need to live in SG or MAL to know why we or they do these. I left MAL since 1983 and understand these traits. 1)Like Singlish, Malaysians love to use them to hasten the process 2) similar to hygiene, taking one's shoes off so that you don't bring the dirty stuff into another person's home. 3)own home cooking - not a point anymore as energy price with inflation has gone up so cheaper to eat outside; unless for entertain purposes
You know, alot of people view Switzerland like a paradise and would like to migrate there , especially the chinese. If they chance upon your channel they would be 😮
Imagine walking on dirt and other stuff you never knew you've stepped on and enter a person's house, no way I'd let someone in with those shoes that god knows where it's been and dirty my living room floor. Taking off shoes is not something that's just Asian, some other European countries do the same too. Doing otherwise is unhygienic to say the least.
Please do not make sweeping statements. I have friends and colleagues who speak proper English in formal settings and use Singlish during casual conversation.
Singlish was never meant to be a short cut, it’s really a product of our environment and education level in the 60s and 70s.

@Swizzyinsg your wonderful compliments to our country, people and Singlish much appreciated
Zurich has lots of trams and trolleybuses drawing power from overhead wires on the streets. Singapore doesn't have those and is quite boring 💤
@@jemdude22 hmm.. I dont miss these😄😄
Do you still cherish democratic values and human rights.? Those are very Swiss values that do not harmonise with Singapore that well.

Singlish is spoken by those who can't speak english well. So, don't try to learn it.
You nailed it! I agree with you absolutely! It's the very reason for its existence.
Get off your high horse.
Untrue. A person can speak Singlish and code switch to proper English.
Please do not make sweeping statements.
