Goodness this had me crying. I am the adoptive mom. I love my son so much, I will support him forever. I can wait and try to understand what he and his birth parents need.
Thank you for making this. Too many don’t think about how awful the first days and weeks are for the child. When I think of that time I am wracked with guilt and sadness for my son.

I would like to ask, and I know you were a toddler already when you left Korea, so had already experienced some of it's culture, do you feel a deep connection to your culture of origin? Are people born with it, or is a connection to one's ethnic culture entirely "nurture"? I ask because I just received my dna heritage analysis and it says I'm 13% Balkan. I already like Balkan folk music and even wanted my next trip to be to that region, before I found out. Do you think we carry some of that with us in our dna?
