Since I do not have Peacock, I have only been able to see bits and pieces of the series. One part that sort of stood out was Hermes death scene along with Marsus. Can you show that in its entirety as it appears quite interesting! Thanks.
The show is also available on Amazon Prime too so it might be worth checking out that... And as for the scene you can find this from a quick search on TikTok!
If they do go as far as Trajan that would be excellent. The Dacian wars made with modern tech on screen could be brilliant. The end of the much hated (by the senate) Domitian would be fun to see.Good coverage mate, cheers.
Thanks! I actually really enjoyed this series and found the history gripping. I think you're right, seeing the Dacian War depicting on screen would be a great second season !
They killed somany important characters it will be hard to rebuild. 1 Iberian out of 3 left. The greek slave boy gone. Half the gladiators we liked (there were only two we knew) gone...all of the famous charioteers gone...the lion gone. Where do you pick up from here? We have Cala's family and Tanax and Domitian. Maybe the surviving family of the senator... All these that died had very good story lines to develop and the the affection of the public and very good actors carrying them. I do not know where it is going but i can imagine where it could have gone: The iberian brothers growing as individual characters with love interests, maybe rivalising in different factions, maybe struggling between wanting to go back to Baetica and the temptations of Rome. The greek slave was a gold mine in storytelling. Keep him in the story as a counterbalance to when Domitian marries and how powerless he is as a slave Or mutilate him as it happened in the story but keep him in the palace for the intrigue. The Viggo and Kwame dynamic with their families could have lasted. The charioteers and what happened to them when younger charioteers would replace them...i dont even think the character's in Cala's family are the best drawn. They are just good people?..that is it? Where is the depth? Specially if we match them with Tanax's character that is good and bad at the same time.
I agree, I'm unsure on their next approach but think that Viggo and Kwame could have latest, it was a shame to see them go, I did think the lion would have been brought out if they didn't fight. Bringing out the children was a heartless move!... And yeah Tenax is a great character, torn between his emotions and how he balances life with Domition and Rome was wonderful to see. Great 1st series I thought👌🏻
The story ends with tenax becoming Caesar which is why In the pilot vespesianos says no Caesar was followed by an air usually a usurper and someone else outside the line of succession. He foreshadowed Domitian taking the throne and then tenax with his ambition will have Domitian killed to protect himself. Also Domitian couldn’t kill his brother tenax did. The true king is also the king maker and king slayer. Tenax also has patrician heritage could be from a prominent blood line or the line of Augustus Caesar which means he should have been next in line and not vespaniosis. Everyone else in the show is a side character

The lion bit at the end made me almost piss myself laughing at how bad it was. I felt the decisions by the writers and characters in that coliseum scene were baffling
Me making notes; "I'm here to explain how season 1 ends. They all die. Thanks for watching and we'll catch you next time for season 2".... I could probably cover more shows that way 🤣
I really enjoyed the show. I am surprised so many people dislike it.
Me too. It deserved better!
Real tho 😭🤌🏻🛐
Very good show

Glad you liked it and you're welcome, we'll see you for season 2 😁

Totally agree. And I wanted a whole week on this garbage...
Just loved this series. Not as good as blood and sand . But definitely the next best thing
This was April great show can't wait for season 2
Anthony Hopkins and Iwan Rheon -- of course it was good
Absolutely!!
I mean it's roman they all die anyway so that's the real ending no explanation needed

Those about to DEI. it's not very good.
If it wasn't very good, why watch an ending explained?
@@Q-DadsFelt like studying the people who do like it. lol. you know. for science.
Well explained. I'll allow that. We all do things for 'research' 😳...
This show was so trash I hope they don’t get a season 2.
