  • Finally back with a new pronunciation difference video! I know it's been a while guys, sorry for having you wait. Due to circumstances out of my power, I had to switch members, but I hope you still enjoy the video. These are all close friends IRL! Sorry this series has been so inconsistent but I promise to bring you this kind of content more often. Thanks for watching :D

    Fun fact: The Japanese pronunciation for vaccine originates from the German pronunciation of "Vakzin".
    Also the pronunciation of virus in Japanese is uirusu"ウイルス", and it actually is taken from Latin which pronounces it as "wiːrʊs".
    It's really interesting to compare Korea and Japanese foreign loan words since their language has a relatively close pronunciation, but borrowed it from from a different language.

    There used to be a German scientist called Röntgen who discovered X-rays. Japan adopted a lot of medical terms from Germany, because there used to be a time where many medical discoveries were made in Germany. That was about the same time when Germany and Japan were still war buddies haha
    But yeah it's not only German, there's also French, Portuguese, ... in Japanese included. It's really interesting!

    • @janslavik5284
      @janslavik5284 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    *일본어로 X레이가 뤤또겐인 이유는 과학자이자 X선의 발견자 륀트겐의 이름에서 따온 것이기 때문입니다. 근데 왜째서?

    Should try to pronounce the name in Genshin next time around. Since Monstad based from German name (I presume) , LiYue from China and Izanuma from Japan. It be interesting how native pronounce the name correctly.

    영어로 홈파티라고 하지 않는 이유가 하우스,홈 둘 다 집 이라는 뜻이지만 하우스는 건물, 홈은 가정이라는 느낌(?)이어서 그렇지 않을까요?

    我想给一点建议,还是上次的那个中国代表比较好,因为中文有些意思是要解释的,就像疫苗这个词,最好是要解释一下,才能让大家都知道每种语言的差异在哪里,上次那个男性中国代表,对苹果耳机,苹果店,解释的就很好
