    I bought one of these cameras because of your previous video on it and it has been the best camera I’ve ever owned. I also got the FreedomPop card and it worked great, but I used my 1Gb before the month was up, watching too many videos, lol. I added it to my AT&T plan with unlimited data and it’s great. Other than the fact the Reolink Go PT can pan from the app on your phone, what's the difference between the Riolink Go and the Go PT? Is the panning feature really the only difference?

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thanks for watching! I believe the lens, sensor, etc are the same on both models. I can’t tell the difference in footage or function between the two. The GO PT has a built in battery while the GO has a removable battery. The GO PT does have the option to do a time lapse video while the GO has no time lapse option. The PT has the external antenna and from my experience gets slightly better reception. Those are the differences I can think of...👍

If someone tells you they'll give you something for free, there's always a catch. .99c ain't too bad to activate them though. Not sure what you'd pay for that much data on other plans. My question is, what cameras would I be able to add to this like if I wanted more then one camera to work on the same data plan? Do these cameras link? Thanks for what I think is a concise, well spoken, detailed video on this item. I'm good with technology that's been around for awhile but this is new enough, I feel I struggle. Anyway, can this (as a device) not be included in your phone plan like another phone thus eliminating the need for any type of card, other than the sim? I like the camera but my hesitation relates to the real moneymaker for "them". That being the racking up of data and the associated $$$. I would have done it a long time ago if it were around WIFI; hunting property well distanced from that though.

      Thanks for watching and for the encouragement. The thing I appreciate about Reolink’s cameras is you can choose a data carrier of your choice (thus not making any money from your monthly plan). I think you could get a sim from your current carrier and simply “add a line” to your plan, although I’ve never personally tried that. The carrier you use must be compatible with ATT and T-mobile. Verizon (or Verizon based ) services will not work. I’ve been using the data carrier listed in the description. They have reasonable plans and are compatible with Reolink cameras. 👍

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial

      Thanks for watching. There will be false alarms if you have moving grass or trees in front of it (like most all canes will). There is a sensitivity setting that you can adjust from 0 to 100 which gives a lot of customization to help reduce false triggers. 👍

    Great video, this was very helpful. Do you have the solar panel connected to your cameras? How long does it keep the camera charged if you do? I want to put a camera out at my camp in North Eastern Maine. I want to know how long it will stay charged with a solar panel.

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do have solar panels attached to my Reolink’s and it keeps them charged year around for me. In extreme cold the battery will drop some for me (and I’m sure you’ll have it colder than me so that might be an issue in prolonged cold snaps). The cameras can usually run for about one month without any solar attached (just running on the internal battery) but I highly recommend using the solar panel 👍

    Great video. I got my Reolink go 2 weeks ago, unfortunately someone came, unscrewed it from the mount and stole it. I didn’t even have it for a week. I told him through the camera to return it but he throw it off a cliff. The dumb ass got a perfect clear image of his face for the police. I still don’t get why people steel security cameras. I guess my suggestion to anyone is to put thread locker where the camera screws onto the mount and to activate the free 7 day cloud storage.

    I think you should be the spokesman for this company! I'm pretty much sold on these just from watching two of your videos!
    My only question is this: is it possible to have two cell phones access the footage at the same time? My elderly father lives about 3 hours away from me on 20 acres. He would want access as well as myself.

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for watching! That can be one of the biggest challenges. Basically whichever cell phone provider works in your area is who you’ll want to go with for your SIM card. Many “off-brand” carriers use other companies cell towers. Find which tower has service in your area and try to search online which companies have access to that tower. It’s another reason why I prefer prepaid cellular data cards...you can often buy just 1 month at a time. If the service isn’t good, you can move on to another company without a penalty or long term contract 👍

    Your video is very helpful. You provided so many helpful details. Question (but not about Freedom PoP): We have Verizon service on our cell phones and our area has Verizon as well as LTE 5G. If we buy one of these cameras, can we use an LTE sim card on the camera and have it interface with our Verizon phone? Or does the camera have to be on the same cell coverage as your phone? Also, I read that 5G may be a problem. Is that correct? I dont want to buy a camera and find out it wont work here because LTE is 5G or we have the wrong cell service. Thanks!

      My GO PT cam worked well in the snow. We had close to 14” at one time and the camera continued to work and because the camera is pointed in a downward angle, the snow never obstructed the lens. 👍

    So question though.... regarding motion detection and whether or not the camera records..... What if you have your camera mounted on the tree trunk and there are leaves and branches overhanging out beyond the camera and the leaves are blowing in the breeze in from of the camera? How do you get it to not record the moving leaves but yet record motion on the ground?

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is adjustments on the sensitivity level which will help reduce false triggers from moving branches but there is no way to turn the motion sensor off for the branches and leave it on for other things. It’s either on or off.
