We're paying $150 for 900lb square bales of alfalfa. $9 for a small square bale. Alfalfa is what's grown here, grass hay is even higher because it has to be shipped in.
Hey Scott. I paid 60 also, but it was only because a guy down the road felt like he didn’t get the net wrap tight enough so he let some go for cheap. All my other sources went to $100+ this year. Thanks for the comment!
The only tub I'm aware of that is grass fed beef compliant is Riomax Prograss360 ... and they are not cheap. They do last a pretty long time however. One small one lasted about 5 months for me with 4 head of South Poll steers. But when I'm looking for protein supplementation I'm happier finding some "cow quality" alfalfa and dose it out to them as a true grass fed supplement. But not that bad 😂!
I fortnightly get my hay from the same guy always but I wouldn't feed that just sell it for what you can and maybe just move on and really try to find someone you can get it from the same guy every time
Grass Feed good way to go!!!
Like your videos. I would like to see you make them on a regular basis. Thanks, you have a nice place.
Thank you Scott! Filming is a lot of work. Hoping to find the time to get a little more regular with it. Thanks for watching, and commenting!
Glad to see a new video, good advice.
I use the same tubs to it sucks that they've gotten so dang expensive.
this says it was posted a couple of days ago. I don't know why I didn't come through my feed!
