Djangirov and Zlat(Turkish) are two of a kind as "inspired" piano players. If you can escape repression, you can burst out with your cooped up feelings! Wonderful Stuff! You can feel the total force of free expression. I think both play very fast because they have SO MUCH to say! Reminds me of Dizzy somehow, who also was so irrepressible.
1:20 bar 95: the Db should be C. Which is really interesting, because Db would be the obvious choice to me (the blues note). When I hear Eldar choose C there it makes me think there's a ghost note exactly where you placed one, implied. But there isn't. Or, if there is, it's extremely soft. The vibes might be supplying that note.
To be honest, I get lost sometimes. Going outside for effect then coming back - I get it. When the player goes outside and stays there, I don't get it. That means nothing to me. I guess when someone is as strong as ED, at his level, straight-ahead playing gets boring. I'll never know myself. This guy is incredible.
@@joeyroyer3195 Of course they can, and I'm sure it means something to them. But, for me, when they stay outside, it sounds like they're lost or just playing worthless notes...means nothing. It's not related to the tune being played. As an old Basie-oriented jazz organ player, outside playing has no value to me.
@@wdilks since its a rhythm changes its such a familiar form that you can get away with going really far out especially after a couple of choruses as long as people are hearing the form its fine
@@supdude414 Yeah, I think I agree. I guess it's just me. I never gave it a chance. Maybe over time I'll "get it". I appreciate getting solid feedback here. Thanks.

He had me going, "Eldar, come home." And then I'm like "wait nvm you sound cooler out there"
Superb transcription of a fabulous solo - hope that Eldar will play some UK dates soon...

Adding FIRE AND STORM AND WIND AND THUNDER IN QUICK TIME
great transcription, but you could have used that bass cleff right there to write some of the lower notes of the right hand

a soloist can go as far as they want and never come back. as long as they have the time, they are exactly where they need to be.
