I'll never forget late summer of 2005. I lived in a small town & was bored to death having lived in the country all my life. Bought a nitro S-Maxx, & everytime I got it out, kids would hear it & run outside like it was the ice cream truck. That November several of the parents were asking me which one to get them for x-mas. The first warm wknd in January i quickly learned that Santa had dropped off 6 other rc cars/trucks on our block. We all had an absolute blast.
Cool Traxxas is opening up to kinda pull the curtain back with the TH-camrs. I hope they keep it up as it makes me feel more comfortable with the brand
I am fifty and I just bought my first decent rc car. I didnt' know anything but my friend has one and there is a local hobby shop with tons of cars and parts. I just rolled the dice and got a 4x4 slash, it was in my price range, and i loved the style. Long story short, i am hooked. Planning some upgrades and writing Santa about the X-Max lol. My buddy has the sledge and its incredible aswell. Whole lotta fun, great hobby to do with kids.

We don’t have anything like this in the UK! Watching this, I’ve realised I’ve never seen something like it before. It’s fascinating, and it’s giving me ideas to start my own business. I’m into sports like mountain biking, off-roading, and motorbikes, and I’d love to combine these interests into a retail business. My vision includes becoming a bicycle mechanic, having a custom-designed trailer to travel across the UK and Europe, and eventually opening a retail store. This video has been incredibly inspiring-thank you!

I live in Austin and as a Texan I can tell you that I am extremely proud of Traxxas. To a Texan it's obvious that their name is a combination of Texas and track giving you "Traxxas". We should rename McKinney to Traxxas, Texas for the love that Traxxas has shown for their home state. Texas has the best techs. Thank you for doing what you do Traxxas I love you guys. It's probably a good thing I don't live near there! I have four Slashes, two set up for Mudboss, 13.5 and 12T, one set up for Street Stock (or Super Street,) and a first Gen Raptor Slash. I also have a 4-Tec 2.0 Mustang. I raced Stock Slash on our local oval a couple of years ago, and won the points championship. Fun vehicles, love the support from Traxxas, especially the availability of parts. I DO wish, they would re release the SRT Stadium Truck, or offer the body and wheels to build a SRT Rustler. Not much crawling action in my area, but would love to have one of their Broncos. And more Slashes, don't have a 4WD yet. Btw I am 67 years old, got into RC back in '89, have raced oval for years, not as good on off road or road course. Haven't raced in a couple of years, hoping somebody would set up a new track nearby!
I met Damron yesterday, while at SEMA Show 2023 (Las Vegas). As I was wearing my MSM (Mark Santa Maria, for those who might not know) T-shirt, be wanted to take a photo work me, to send to Mark. One of these days, I might make it out there, to see the store in-person. One of the coolest things Traxxas has in their SEMA display is a mini TRX-4m crawler course in the center of the display.

Yep theyre purely in it for the money, not for the hobby. I didnt used to believe this (or maybe didnt want to) after being in the hobby 17 years I finally seen the light after repeated performances from their legal team. And now you cant even order Traxxas parts from Usa shops online if you dont live in USA. I used to order everything from Amain to myself down under, and now Trx wont allow shipping anything overseas from spare parts to entire kits. . . so they just lost a massive chunk of support overseas.
Definitely, you guys are onto something. With the enormous building and worldwide presence in sales I am quite sure they will be contacting you guys for future advice of the direction of the company. Maybe you should drive to Texas, and start off a job interview with your wisdom of the industry

Welcome to Texas!!! Those overpasses are called "mix masters". That store is so cool, every product in one place and if you don't see it in there they will go into the plant and find it.
I used to race on a national level in the 90's and Traxxas was kind of a joke at the time. But... They have managed to transform the hobby and in doing so have become one of the biggest names in the business. They have got more people into the hobby than all other brands combined. Its great to see the success they have had and I wist them continued success.

We have a lot of Crawlers starting from Traxxas old Bronco as the first we bought. We have tried a lot of brands, but the reliability and quality of Traxxas is unreachable! Now we own 8 Traxxas crawlers... Hauler included! For sure the best brand ! PS: the ONLY brand mounting really good tires out of the box !!

One of these days, I'll bribe a friend to drive me the 2 hours to a Traxxas dealer. I've only seen the slash at my local track and am curious. Definitely want a TRX4M if I get a chance to see one in person.
I got my boys the Stampede trucks years ago. I was really impressed with how well they did off road! The water proofing needs a bit of work because of the amount of maintenance required to clean it after getting it wet, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Traxxas product or purchase one myself. Nice job on the video. Freddies Hobbies in Ravenna, Ohio, has a banked track for the big cars to race on as well as an indoor track. Not sure of the class but I believe they have a schedule for races and stands, you might want to check them out, Freddie seems to be a pretty nice guy.
Hopefully they update the xmaxx. Either make it slightly bigger, or include stuff that should already be there for $1k. HD arms, metal geared servo, better esc, bigger motor. Something
Literally just got home this evening with my brand new trx4-m f-150 ranger xlt ^high trail edition^ in black 😊 My first time getting into rc cars and I'm so stoked to play with it 2morrow on my day off! About 2 weeks ago I had ordered and fms crawler blazer from amazon and was so excited to play with it. The thing literally broke its rear driveshaft after only about 2 minutes of me driving it thru the yard ( a weed wrapped around the rear tire) I was super bummed out and took it to my local hobby shop and was told the fms are toy grade and not well built. They just happened to be a Traxxas dealer and encouraged me to send mine back and purchase one of their trx4-m models and since they work on them and carry parts.... it just made sense. So I saved up a few bucks seeing as how Amazon has yet to issue me a refund and bought myself one today. Wish me luck guys💯 really enjoyed the video 😎

What's traxxas? Sorry had to. Yes they make some decent stuff but they will not get my hard earned money. Especially going after the small guys. But I'd pick something used up and convert it. Ie def rip and toss the electronics
I always hear this complaint. But what about the flip side? If you spent years developing something and another company just came along and stole your idea, you would be alright with that? Of course not. I've never understood this argument. Every company protects itself. This isn't China where patent laws don't exist and literally anything can be bootlegged. Also, it forces other companies to actually create something new and innovative instead of just copying what Traxxas does...

They're guilty of frivolous lawsuits designed to crush competition (and/or garner ill gotten gains from out of court settlements), especially small businesses that don't have the $ to fight in court. They know this. Do what you want, but I won't compromise MY ethics for a toy.
They may be expensive, and they might use their litigious power from time to time, but IMO they make a first-rate product and serve the customer like no other.
They sure do they replace any electronics or batteries for half cost even if you are not the original owner. My buddy was throwing his lipos out and I said let me have them sent em to traxxas and got a brand new pair of 4s lipos for 150 compared to over 300
My brother and i have a trx 4. They ain't kidding about the waterproof electrics. We sent ours through a creek and had em repeatedly underwater and I mean like driving through creek, fast moving water, and I'm 2 or 3 inches fully submerged jus trundling along. drove em back out the woods to the truck. Mine has 0 changes and his has dually axles in the rear and a slew of parts and gizmos... Wouldn't ya know big bros blue slag did jus' fine with a 3s battery and some finesse.. fun day 😅
I just got back into RC after like a 30 year hiatus. Weird seeing Traxxas being so popular, cause back then, they just made sad-tier copies of all the good brands.
I have a Xmaxx with brand new batteries and still haven't taken it out yet. Seems this thing called work keeps interrupting my xmaxx play time. I bought it from a pawn shop for four hundred and looks like it never went in the dirt.
Traxxas should do what I did, make a trx4 Maxx. Trx4 High Trail with monster truck wheels/tires, Maxx Velineon XL brushless system, and 4s battery. Crazy, maybe? Fun, absolutely. 😅
Sad to see that tjere did not seem to be any Traxxas Summits on display, or Traxxas Bandits. The Summit is iconic to me, and the Bandit has a legacy of its own. At least they have not "dumped" the Slash line of vehicles.
Your right, they use to be on the back corner. I just went to the websites model showroom and the 1/10 version is not there any more. Yes, they are old but they are so much fun.

We sent ours through a creek and had em repeatedly underwater and I mean like driving through creek, fast moving water, and I'm 2 or 3 inches fully submerged jus trundling along. drove em back out the woods to the truck.
Mine has 0 changes and his has dually axles in the rear and a slew of parts and gizmos...

I have a Xmaxx with brand new batteries and still haven't taken it out yet. Seems this thing called work keeps interrupting my xmaxx play time. I bought it from a pawn shop for four hundred and looks like it never went in the dirt.

Traxxas should do what I did, make a trx4 Maxx. Trx4 High Trail with monster truck wheels/tires, Maxx Velineon XL brushless system, and 4s battery. Crazy, maybe? Fun, absolutely. 😅

Sad to see that tjere did not seem to be any Traxxas Summits on display, or Traxxas Bandits. The Summit is iconic to me, and the Bandit has a legacy of its own. At least they have not "dumped" the Slash line of vehicles.
Your right, they use to be on the back corner. I just went to the websites model showroom and the 1/10 version is not there any more. Yes, they are old but they are so much fun.
