It helps to know your anxiety. Where is it coming from this time? Is that normal for your anxiety? Are their any simple precautions you can take just in case your right? Cutting your walk short, locking your door, reading the 'in case of emergency' flyers in the break room, or grabbing your cell and checking the charge and signal, texting someone you trust to listen, etc. If its nothing it will make you feel a little better.

My mom told me that when I was about 9 a man knocked on the door. My dad was away on a business trip so it was just me and her alone since my step brothers were only there on weekends and my sisters were old enough to be out with friends.
My mom opened the door and there was a man with his hand in his pocket. He was acting really strange but mom just passed it off that he was drunk. We lived down the street from a bar and it wasnt uncommon for us to get drunks asking us to call cabs for them. It would've been fine except our German Sheppard was losing it. She was snapping at him, growling and trying to jump through moms legs to get to him. This was super not like her..she was an older dog with a great temperament and barely even barked. She loved people.
He stood there for a moment without saying anything, stared at our dog, then my mom. Then he just turned around and walked away.
My mom locked the doors that night and told the girls to stay at their friends houses across town.
The next day we heard on the radio that a woman down the street from us had been stabbed to death. And they later arrested that same man.

Wasnt me, but my mom told me thia story when she was 8 months pregnant with me. At the time there was a recent car crash outside our house, my dad is showering and my mom is watching the news. Someone knocks on the door. It was a woman, who asked if they could see their brother who had been injured in the car crash i mentioned before. Awkward silence for about 5 seconds when my mom has this sudden alert feeling in her head. She closes the door and tells my dad, then she calls the cops. The woman is knocking on the door impatiently. 5 minutes later the cops arrive and arrest the woman. The police check her pockets, nothing. But in the car was a knife. Turns out she and another guy had kidnapped and murdered 2 people in pur area before. They were sent to prison.
If my mother did not have that feeling, me, my mother or my brother would not be here today.
If you ever get that kind of feeling that something isnt right, then go with your guts, play it safe.

You’d be surprised by how deliberately obtuse and stubborn doctors can be, especially when it comes to mothers about their children. A friend of mine once almost died because the only pediatrician in his area refused to take his mom seriously when he was clearly ill. They eventually were able to get a second opinion, and the new doctor immediately figured something was very wrong. Turns out, my friend had a brain tumor.
I could give a million other stories about useless health officials but this is the most shocking one I’ve heard.

My math teacher had taken me to a separate, empty classroom so that I could take my math exam (I was absent the actual day of the test) without distractions while he went off to teach the rest of my classmates as normal. Not too bad, right? Well, he locked me in the room for some reason and forgot about my existence.
Now, a period lasts 1h and I had been gone for 1h and 30 min. The teacher had gone on to teach his next class. Everyone thought it was unfair I had 30 more minutes than them to complete my exam, except the hero of this story; one of my friends.
She had a feeling something bad had happened and asked to go to the bathroom. Instead, what she did was find the math teacher and ask what had happened to me, thus reminding him of my existence and coming to unlock me.
He was very sorry about the whole thing, but I still haven't fully forgiven him. It was a Friday and he was the only person with a key to the room.
This story wasn't a life/death situation like the others (although to me, at the time, it seemed like so), but yeah.

Here's a true story about me...
    This happened 5 years ago.
I was home alone for a week because my parents were at my grandparents house just to visit them and I don't want to come because its pretty boring there. We have a Cctv camera infront of our door(this is gonna be important later) .I got bored and I decided to watch some movies at our TV. Its already midnight and I was still watching TV at our living room so I decided to turn off the TV and go to bed.I fell asleep fast. But in the middle of my sleep for some reason, something or someone keeps waking me up, this was reapeted for a while.Since I can't sleep anymore , I decided to use my phone for a bit surfing Instagram.Later on, I realised that I forgot to lock our door.So I got up, lock the door, went to bed, and sleep.Later on, I got woken up by someone shaking and banging the door for about 5 minutes. It seems likes it's trying to break the door open. But, I think it's another kid messing around because pranks like this happened before but, I don't think a kid can shake and bang a door very hard.I didn't mind it and go back to sleep. The next day I woke up, I checked everything and everything is okay. The door knob is just a little bit broken. The next thing that I did was to check the Cctv footage on my computer on what happened last night. I was pretty shock when I saw 2 big dudes trying to break in my house. But,luckily their not strong enough to break the door. The other dude is holding a knife and the other is holding a rope.I reported it to the police but their not found.I'm just thank full to who ever waked me up that night.
I wonder what will happen if I forgot to lock the doors.

Jesus Christ! Glad you’re alright. I’ve got a story kinda like that, though not as nuts as yours.
I was 16, and went on a trip with my family down to Florida. We stayed at my rich uncle’s place, but unfortunately there weren’t enough beds in the house for all of us, so on a coin flip vs my brother I ended up sleeping in the motor home outside. I stayed up late into the night watching TV, when all of a sudden the motion-detector light outside lit up. I looked out the windows, couldn’t see anything, so went back to watching TV thinking an animal probably set it off or something. Then it happened again.. and again.. and again.. I was never able to see anything outside the windows, but I started to get pretty paranoid. This went on for hours. At one point, I’d had enough, and made my way to the door to go outside and look around... but then something told me not to. Still, eventually I decided it HAD to be some sort of malfunction, as it was going off over and over and I was never able to spot anyone/thing, so I went to sleep. I awoke in the morning to my dad banging on the door, I answered and he asked me wtf happened... One of the windows to the motor home had been broken. I guess whomever it was tried breaking in, I somehow slept through it (it was just an outside pane, so the sound would’ve been muffled some for me) but they decided it wasn’t worth it or something. I think they were purposely setting off the motion detector while remaining out of sight from the windows in order to lure me outside. I’m glad I went with my gut that night and stayed put.

My mom and dad were divorced at the time and my dad lived around the corner from my friends house. My mom dropped me off at my dad's house do I could just walk to my friends when she got home. 5 o'clock came around. Still no call from my friend. I decided to walk to her house as it was getting late. After leaving I soon realized that I left my charger and turned back. Apparently my mom's ex had seen me and got in the car (as he lived down the road) and drove around the corner and had slowed down in front of my friends house. I was at the door when I saw that car. I instantly thought "I'm going to get kidnapped if I don't bang on this door" so I banged on the door really loudly. My friends grandfather pulled me in the house and quickly locked the door. My mother's ex had apparently stopped the car and was getting out when I was finally inside. I called my mother and told her what happened. 2 minutes later my friend comes into the room unaware that I am hysterically crying on the phone because I almost got kidnapped by my mom's crazy ex who also kidnapped my cat. Still freaks me out every time I see him in public though he doesn't recognize me. I do believe that he would have taken me if I didn't trust my gut.

so this one time , must be like 7,8 years ago. i was in my early 20s, it was like midnight or even 1or 2 pm and i decided to get some weed from this park in my neighbourhood. this park is known for weed, you can basically find a dealer in there 24/7,and i was buying shit from there on regular basis. i was on my way out of my home, when i got this feeling like something is wrong in my stomach, as if its trying to warn me that something is going to happen. so i turn around , get into my apartement and ,just because my gut feeling i take my pocket knife with me (wich wasnt really a "pocket" knife) more like a folding rambo knife that can be opened and closed in its handle. im not troublemaker, and had a weapon on me only 2,3 times in my whole life. so i go on to the park, find me a dealer, everything is going good and i have my weed and im on my way out of the park.
when suddenly the "spider senses" start to tingle, but very bad - this feeling that there is something wrong but you cant tell what it is yet. i start walking slower, so my walking doesnt make that much noise and i can hear my surrounding clearly (it was pitch black night, so you cant see very far). and then i heard them. footsteps behind me, from at least 2 persons. i hear them talking to each other, but VERY silent and they are a little to far away to actually understand what they are saying. i started to get scared, because i was alone, in the middle of the night, in a goddamn drug park ,wich is in a shitty area anyway - followed by a bunch of guys that whispering shit i cant understand behind my back. my mind was racing, trying to find a proper way of avoiding this situiation. my instincts were SCREAMING at me " RUN YOU IDIOT" "AT LEAST TURN AROUND SO THEY CANT ATTACK YOU FROM BEHIND" so i did it. i stopped walking, and turned around quickly to face them - and what did they do ? THEY FUCKIN HIDE BEHIND TREES AND BUSHES AND STARING AT ME FROM THE DARK ! it was quite like a damn horror movie. at least i could get a short look at them and it was not 2 but 3 men ! so i stood there for what felt like an eternety , and we just look at each other, they are behind trees and only peek out to stare at me. i finaly turn around again and start walking away from them, and they start to follow me again. they are getting closer, and as they are near me, i can finaly UNDERSTAND what they are whispering to each other " soon, soon" "wait till hes not paying attention" "i will go first" things like this. so now i KNOW they are up to something, planning on robbing/jumping me. and finaly the thought crossed my mind " YOU HAVE A BIG ASS KNIFE IN YOUR POCKET " i grab my knife, open it and hold it so they MUST see it ,they are like 10 feet behind me. my heart is pounding like hell and i almost shit my pants. then i hear them whisper again "hes got a knife" "did you see that" "fuck it" . and the footsteps behind me stopped. i got out that park that night, nothing happened to me. but to this day i sometimes think : what would have been happening, if i did NOT bring that knife this night ?

At my friends house we were watching tv when there was a random BREAKING NEWS thing on, it said something about a guy who was yet to be found, and had killed 15 people in the bathrooms at a festival (the one we were at) and the only one who escaped was chased down but made it out because there were authorities nearby. However, the dude had escaped and the survivor from the bathroom was taken in for questioning. They showed a picture that the security cameras took. It was the guy behind us.

    I’ve got a story:
My brother was out late with friends. All day I was wondering when he would come home. I couldn’t stop thinking about him.
That night, him and four of his friends could have died.
They got in a serious car accident. The front of the car was like a Persian cat. It was dark and rainy, and the driver was going too fast on a road with a lot of turns. There was a bump on the road and they got some air time. They went face first into a tree.
Most of them just ended up with PTSD and minor injuries. My brother got it worst, and he saved a girls life. He cracked his skull open and he had serious cuts and bruises.
The girl he saved was sitting in the back seat right in the middle. There was no seatbelt. But when they went into the air my brother had his arm in front of her like a seat belt. If he hadn’t done that then she would’ve gone through the windshield.

The ones where medical professionals disregard their patients, despite what seem like valid concerns, are so disheartening.

    • @noornasri5753
      @noornasri5753 5 ปีที่แล้ว +13

I would assume medical professionals see it all the time though, where people are just paranoid and there's nothing major. If there isn't anything showing for something you can diagnose, you can really only refer them to a specialist for whatever they're describing. And then the specialists don't find anything for whatever reason, they gotta tell you that you're fine and to move on.
Better than having every patient told that something might still be wrong with them and sent for eternal tests.

    • @commentercommentypants7904
      @commentercommentypants7904 5 ปีที่แล้ว +17

@@noornasri5753 I had a doctor who, for EIGHT YEARS, completely disregarded my worries. Same thing every time from the age of seven: a horribly painful UTI. Once, I was bedridden from it for the better part of three months. I was in agony every other day, and I spent hours on the toilet constantly drinking water, just trying to flush out whatever was causing it. After she learned that I'd been bedridden for months, she told my mom "more water, less soda, eat cranberries" for the hundredth time. My mom told her that I hadn't had soda in two years and she smirked and repeated herself. My mom left in a towering fury, and swore to never go back to her.
A few weeks later, we went to an allergist for a different thing; my lips swelled up three separate times, every time in the morning, and my mom was worried that my throat would close (still no answer on this). We were talking and the issue of my "UTIs" came up, including how long I'd been bedridden with one. He was horrified, and told us that it was standard practice to have any child who'd had more than three UTIs before the age of ten get a ureteroscopy.
My "UTIs" weren't "nothing major". I wound up being diagnosed with Interstital Cystitis, an autoimmune disease when I come from a family of other autoimmune diseases, and finally getting the medication I needed after being diagnosed. This medication takes my pain away almost completely, and enables me to live each day without the terror that I'll spend the next month in bed. I can drink soda. I can eat spicy food. I can stay on my feet for more than a couple of hours. Not only that, but the acid in cranberries makes it worse.
I could have been living a full life for all those years, but because that useless fucking doctor wouldn't run more than a pee cup test when I was in outright agony, I lived in fear that any day would be disrupted by pain.
Another example is with my mother. She recently broke her hip due to cancer taking a scoop out of the bone. It was traumatic (even more so because the local ER don't know what they were doing and didn't control her pain -- she left with a blood pressure of 185/112) and it's rare to see her kind of cancer go to the bone. She kept asking for scans of her knees, since she was having strange pains beyond her normal aches and pains there as well, and each doctor she came to told her that "it doesn't go there". Finally, she got ahold of her normal oncologist, who ordered the tests. Guess where her cancer went? To turn all but a sliver of her kneecap into soft tissue and start on the top of her tibia.
There is NO excuse for dismissing a patient's legitimate concerns. NEVER. Of course there's no need to blow the common cold into a brain tumor, but refusing to even palpate a strange lump near a baby's kidney? Not testing the son of a worried diabetic who should have already been tested? That's a sign that those doctors should not have any control over people's lives.
There is absolutely no excuse for laziness, greed, or cowardice when people's lives are in the balance, and that is what the doctors in this video exemplified. It's better to run a few tests on something that might be a real problem than to ruin someone's life for the sake of making things easier on yourself.

Commenter Commenty pants Damn you must’ve had some very shitty doctors but most doctors I’m pretty sure are like that. They read all this shit in books and it just seems so outrageous for it to actually happen to someone. Half my entire family are doctors including my dad. My uncle was a doctor and he specialised in dealing with the gut. He had discomfort for quite sometime in his OWN bowl but disregarded it. Turns out he had bowl cancer and by the time he found out it was already too late and had spread to far. He was a fucking doctor that specialised with the gut and didn’t realise that something was wrong with his own gut even after months of pain. Sadly he passed away shortly after. Idk what it is but sometimes they just don’t think the extreme can happen to the human body especially to themselves. Fuck I really wish he would’ve just had that instinct to just run a few tests it literally would not of cost a dime. I’m glad your mum had the initiative to know something was wrong and kick cancer in the ass. Good on her I know, that shit can be tough.

not me but my mom; when I was around 8, my little brother was 3 and was constantly sick. he always had rashes and diarrhea, and the doctors said he was probably just allergic to something and the only way to figure out what it was was to test foods on him and see. months went by, and nothing happened. my mom eventually went to 7 different doctors, and finally one of them said that she heard of a rare disorder that he might have. It would’ve costed a lot of money to see if he had it, since my mom had to take him to a special doctor, but even though my dad said it was too much for a 1% chance, my mom did it anyways.
turns out, he had the rare disorder, which meant that he couldn’t process any natural sugars. he grew out of it after a few years, but if it wasn’t for my mom he would’ve been sick for much longer

About a year ago I had one of those shaking gut feelings. It was the end of a school day, I was walking with my friend and she had a cast on her leg cause she broke it. Now it was the beginning of the school year and they were doing some constructions on the streets so our bus stop was rather far away. 5 minutes max. By foot but with my friend being in a cast it was about 7-8. So we were walking down the side of the road when this guy pulled up about 10 feet in front of us. Now this is where my alarm started to go ham. That man got off the car and opened the back door, he screamed over "you (to me) come here *first* I want to bring you home, your friend can come after you." now I really felt my stomach turning so I panicked and said "uh no no don't worry we live close by". The guy ran into the car and zoomed away. So well, I didn't get the last sentence of his so my friend later explained to me that he probably only wanted me to get it so he could speed off without my friend cause kidnapping one girl is easier than two. And that's the story of how I almost possibly got sex trafficked.

I remember him constantly asking me to hang out with him and he would constantly say was in love with me. He'd try to bribe me with weed and alcohol all the time and I'd turn him down every time. He was a senior at the time I was a sophmore. He scared me so much that I asked my friends older brother to make sire this dude stayed away. Good move on my part.
Anyway, flash forward, I'm a senior and i had completely forgotten about him. My friends older brother sends me an article and it's about a dude that sexually assaulted a girl and had kiddie porn. Turns out, that dude was the same that wanted me in his house alone with him. This happened recently, his name is Paul Delp III and you can find his article. It's terrifying. I hope that girl is ok and he stays behind bars for a lot longer than the 4 to 8 years he was given.
Edit: i don't feel back about sharing his name because they publically printed his story and face everywhere. This guy was a major creep in highschool and a lot of girls were scared of the one camera-less hallway because of him.

Ok this will probably get drowned but i got one.
One day i was alone in my house and some electricity guys from the government came. No, my parents didn't ask them to come but in my country they regularly do check ups, and when they do they just let themselves in into the yard to check some cables.
This time though, they(2 guys, electricity guy from govern usually only sends one guy) just stood there in front of my house's fence. I casually thought they just doesn't know how to open the gate so i went out and opened it for them, didn't said any word, and went back inside and locked the door. My house door is trellis outside and then the wood door(doubled up), i only locked the trellis so they can see the inside of my home.
Being the anxiety puddle as i am i just went to my room and just play my phone there to avoid conversations. But then 5 minutes passed and my guts started to freak out. Usually those guys only spend like 2 minutes or so and this is just way too long. I started to sweats and trembled hard. Im more scared because my room's windows also faced the yard where they're in and i didn't close the curtain so they can see me. 10 minutes passed and the both of them still there. I started to text my parents abt the situations, they thought nothing was strange. 3 more minutes one of them started to shout for me to come out. Not really threatening, more like please come out there's something i need to say". I was so scared i think the littlest noise will get their attention so i curled up beneath the window and just closed my eyes letting out my prayers in my heart. This goes on for minutes, they even stood in front of the door and tried to look inside. 10 minutes of trying to make me come out they finally gave up and left. I cried so hard after they left and thanked the god up there. Didn't know why i felt so relieved eventho there's a chance that something might be truly wrong.
Anyway the next day my dad saw the news and turns out there's some shady people out there who pretends to be electricity guys. They rob and murder the house owner if they fall for their tricks. The news reporter said that the charactersistic is they come in pairs and will tell you that you need to see that there's some damages so you'll come out.
One time my anxiety and guts saved me

Fun topic! When I was younger we had moved states, and were meeting the neighbors! I had that feeling, but it is difficult to explain, because at the time, I had a certain type of seizures, which can compare to the panic attacks I have now. I told my sister, something is wrong, because it only came about me when that man came outside. About 6 months later, he had sexually assaulted several young people! Turns out that feeling similar to a seizure is my warning system!

Once, my mom was out getting the trash at the end of our very long driveway, like she usually does, and suddenly I got this alarming feeling that I needed to check on her. I was sure it was just my paranoia but I went to the window anyway and sure enough a man’s car was stopped in the road talking with her. It always could have been a friendly neighbor but I decided to go out and stand with her just in case. Upon my arrival he seemed alarmed and got really jumpy and nervous while still trying to be fake friendly. He proceeded to ask us all kinds of weird intrusive questions and subtly dropped hints that he’d watched our house and seen us before (we live in a fairly spaced out forest with like 1 or 2 houses near). I can’t explain it but he had the most off putting, creepy vibe I’ve ever seen in a human since. After dragging on for a long time he actually got OUT of the car to talk closer to us, extremely jittery and nervous. He started making up these weird obvious lies about himself that canceled each other out, and he was wearing a stained wife beater shirt. He started getting weirdly physical and putting his arm around my mom and even hugging her, and he winked at me every time she turned her back (it was a weird and awkward wink too, and I was a 16 year old girl at the time). My little brother came out eventually and he did the same thing with him, hugging him and such. Keep in mind he was very nervous acting and had this fake smile. Anyway, he ended up getting back in the car and leaving but not before telling us he’d be “back to visit soon”. Something about him was making my hands actually shake from fear. I genuinely think if I hadn’t come outside when I did he would have taken my mom. We all got the same vibe from the man and hurriedly called my stepdad, who was at work, the minute the man left. You don’t fuck with my stepdad, he’s a tough guy. Eventually I found out that my stepdad found and approached the man and I was never told what actually happened between them, but we never saw the guy again. I still get nervous every time I or my family takes the trash out, and every time I see a car like his my heart skips a beat. I truly think he was some kind of freak.
Anyway, just a weird story I thought I’d share.

I saw a couple of weirdos sitting on some rocks along a path. I was a good distance away from them when I saw them, but they gave off a bad vibe, so I decided to calmly take a turn to another path. The woods were pretty dense in this area, so the weirdos dropped out of my line of sight immediately and it seemed like they didn't care, but I figured I'd still run for a while "just in case" they were following me or something.
Well, whaddya know... those fuckers DID try to follow me, but they were surprised I had disappeared so quickly. I run pretty fast, and I didn't even see them behind me, but I heard them yelling "hey come back you dropped something", and when I didn't reply, they yelled "fucking come back right now" with a seriously fucked up tone. Most likely they just wanted to rob me, because I was a lone man in a fairly remote place.
I don't know of any robberies in that area, but someone was raped there, and some local drug addicts/dealers have dragged a couple of people into the woods to tie them up and torture them because they've owed debts. Just last winter some guy was tied up there for 2 days, and when he was found, his legs had been damaged by the cold so badly that he lost use of them. It's still a very quiet and calm place 99% of the time.
    P.S. I didn't drop anything. :---)

Also just had that gut sense to not acknowledge him or let him get nearer... I sped up and was getting farther and farther away from my family and other people, but for a solid 5 minutes I'd still catch glimpses of him following me in my perifery and it freaked me out. As soon as I went around a boulder out of sight I snuck down into the water and just hid, as quiet as possible, until I heard him pass and keep going... then as quickly as I could I made my way back to my family. My old house was destroyed, but some of my belongings made it out. There were people that my parents hired to clean our belongings. I had a bad feeling about them, I didn't really trust them. I kept telling my parents that we should take our stuff back and find someone else. They told me I was just being overprotective with my belongings since I almost just lost them all.
That was the beginning of one of the most stressful years of my life. The guy in charge turned out to have been an insurance fraudulent multiple times before, and tried charging 10x the amount for the cleaning, which was almost all the money insurance gave us to clean and get a new home. He kept our stuff hostage until we would pay. He threatened my parents with violence, and had a history of sexually assaulting young women at their homes. Which, concerned my parents when they recalled me telling them twice that the man said something creepy about my body but they told me I was overreacting at the time. When we finally got our stuff back, almost none of it was cleaned, alot of it they broke, and they stole and sold a few things, like alot of my more expensive old video games. However, part of why we were able to get it back was because we said we wouldn't take them to court over it. However, I think that too, was this company pulling the wool over my parents eyes. Because if we took them to court, we have so much documentation that we could have won.
I was starting to not trust my parents judgement before the incident, but now I really don't. And it's been crazy seeing how many times they insist they are right when I have a feeling it's wrong, and they end up wrong about it.

Turns out, when we checked the Nest doorbell that night, he was stalking me and looking through my window. I frequently feel as if I'm being watched, so I can't fall asleep with the lights on. That experience thoroughly shook me. Stay safe guys.

Went to India on a vacation and thought it'd be fun to camp in a dodgy forest with my bestie. 12 am or so and I was terror stricken for absolutely no reason. My friend was just enjoying his sleep while i was upright and awake. I felt as if something was REALLY close to our camp and was observing us. Tried to look around through a small slit but couldn't see much. Couldn't sleep the whole night and got the fuck out of there early in the morning. Turns out, there was a leopard on the loose in a nearby village which had escaped back into the forest where we were. NEVER CAMPING AGAIN.

People who are saying that camping is stupid it depends where you camp. Like if your camping in Scotland which doesn’t have wolves or bares or even rabies, doesn’t have any particularly dangerous animals or plants you won’t get hurt by nature so your only worry is other people and in that sense you might as well be in your house or on the street. Camping is only stupid if you ignore potential dangers ie going camping in a country which has dangerous animals, going in a place that gets dangerous weather, going in a place with limited people. Like if you go camping in Say California where there is wild fires, earthquakes, venomous spiders, dangerous animals etc your basically asking to die.

Something felt strange and suddenly even though it was a nice day the dogs were tugging on the leash like mad showing me they wanted back even though it had only been 10 minutes. Almost had to run home they were tugging and whimpering so bad. When I got there my dad and brother were gone and there was blood everywhere.I later found out that a tool had fallen on my brothers head while they were on a ladder and my brother fell a couple of meters, no serious injuries besides a heavy concussion. • @dajoler
      @dajoler 5 ปีที่แล้ว +25

To be completely fair to the doctor, I have actually done the opposite and did a test for diabetes. It's a fairly tedious test called a 75 gram oral glucose tolerance test where we make you drink something that's basically pure sugar and monitor how your body will process that sugar in a 2 to 3 hour period. What this means is that every hour after you've taken the oral glucose liquid, we're going to ask to have your blood extracted, meaning you're going to have to get a needle in you about three times. A ketostrip isn't a gold standard diagnostic test for diabetes so we don't usually base our treatments off of that.
Needless to say, the parents (both diabetics) were pissed when the tests turned out negative because they felt that I had hurt their child unnecessarily.
However, there might have been a better way to leave some room for error. Maybe say "It's probably due to other causes like the weather but let's observe for now. We can do a test down the line but if the symptoms change for the worse or aren't getting better, you can bring the child to an urgent care facility."

My mom was pregnant with my sister and wasn't due for at least another month. She was in the hospital for pregnancy stuff and she felt something off. She told the nurse and the nurse said things like "oh it's normal, its your first baby" and all that. My mom still felt uneasy and yelled at a doctor as he was walking in the hallway. He rushed her to surgery. Turns out the umbilical cord was wrapped around my sister's neck and killing her. If my mom didn't yell for the doctor and the doctor made one small mess up it's likely that both my mom and my sister wouldn't be alive and I wouldn't have been born 2 years later. I was maybe 11 at the time. My mother dropped me off at Sunday school but no one was there, miscommunication, they were at the tennis courts. I was left their unattended, a deep sinking feeling started taking over, I looked down the road and then to the main Street. Down the road a car was idling and a person was starring at me, panicking I ran towards the main Street and guess what followed me. Running full pelt down the street dodging people, the car driving past and around the block. I took off down another street closer to home. Running and being followed I noticed my mother's car, waving I tried to signal, she didn't notice. The car pulls up nearby and the man gets out, calling out to me he approached, in his pocket I notice a rope and the fact he was wearing gloves. At that I took off down our street and into our yard and glance back at the corner, guess whos on the Corner. At the end my mother returned and he left. Recongized his face in the news paper, turns out to be a kidnapper and after my incident he was caught, not by my word to the police but a witness to another case.

One time, my friend and I went to a theme park. I like to drive with my windows down, so, naturally, as my friend and I got in my car to leave, I put the windows down, and started to navigate the busy parking lot. Many people were pulling out at once-the theme park was a busy place, even at 9 PM-onto this one narrow road. The road had a light at the end, and a left and right turning lane, which allows you to turn onto this big highway that’s three lanes on each side. A few people pull out of the parking lot before I do in front of a white truck.
Now, I get anxious often-we love having a mental disorder-and dense traffic can often trigger anxiety for me. I was nervous, given the situation, but since the truck wasn’t moving, I began to pull out as well-as soon as I make it half way out, though, this guy guns it forward, to the point of only being an inch away from plowing into the driver’s side of my car. Though I didn’t have any real cause to, I immediately reached to pull the windows up.
My intuition must have known something was up, though, because as the windows are rolling up, the guy gets out of the truck, runs over to my window, and tries to put his hand in, but the window closed just in time. He instead screams (something like “it’s just one! It’s just one!” whatever that means) and bangs on my window, to the point where I was terrified he would actually break my window and punch me. A woman gets out of the same truck and pushes him away from my car, and for a second, I was scared he’d attack her, too. He eventually goes back to his car and aggressively tailgates me until he’s able to swerve around me and the line of cars, get in the right turning lane, and hook a huge left turn right before the other direction’s light turns green.
If my gut hadn’t told me to pull up the window immediately, that psycho fucker could have seriously injured me, and he almost intentionally hit me multiple times. Scariest shit I’ve had to deal with in a while.
