The wife and I bought the Velotric Discover 2 bikes a couple of months ago and recently took them on a 3-week trip. You pretty much covered all the advantages of this bike. Plus, the price recently was reduced as it is on the pricey side. This is probably the most advanced commuter out there, and for most folks, unless you love to go out on sandy trails, should suffice. Love ours. Oh, and we bought the Yakima OnRamp LX, which although pricey, is rated for RVs like our Ekko, and I would definitely recommend getting one with a ramp because of the weight of the bike. Plus, other than Aventon, Velotric has the largest dealer/repair network which is a definite plus.
Been looking at lots of bikes: Himiway, Ride1Up, Aimatech, Blix, MokWheel, etc and this one.. this one seems to check most all the boxes. Thanks for the review.
Hi nice to see a video from you guys! We bought our velotric Efold bikes about a month ago. We've only been able to test them so far due to Wi weather and so far we love them. Now we can spend the winter planning our adventures for the spring. We have some nice bike trails in northern Wi that are calling our name. We were also looking for the things you mentioned in your video in an Ebike like repair shop availability. That became important as we saw your videos on the previous bikes you had and the trouble you had with getting your parts and such when you were on one of your trips. Great video and tips on what to look for in an Ebike. Happy riding and take care. Ron and Diane
I thought you were going to be walking when you threw the battery in the lake. Looks like a great bike and glad to see the COE starting to recover. Great to hear from y'all. Happy tails and safe travels.
Wow! Nice bike! We'll have to just keep riding our Lectrics for now. It's so nice to see y'all out and about now. Hope things are going well for y'all. Tell Lynn and Maggie "Hi!" for us! ❤🙏🐾 Jane in SC (Really cool that it's waterproof. I'd like having a big bike again (not folding). Thanks for bringing us along. I'm glad you found your match!
Hi guys, ive been a little remiss in keeping up with you all, we started to shop for used ECCO’s based on your videos and comments, any advice on what to look for in used ones?
It is great to see you both of you out and about. Looks like you're doing well and hope you're enjoying your downtime! I do think the bike's handlebars need to curve toward the riders body more so a person can sit up straighter, but this bike does look like it's better than most. Can you tell us the tire size? I looked on the website and didn't find it, but I may have missed it. Do you know how much weight the back rack can carry and is Maggie going to fit?
I like the waterproof battery. Do they rate the battery connections on the bike as waterproof or IP67 also? The battery left by percent is nice, step thru, color display all good! Nice to see you guys again and glad you don’t feel a pressure to make TH-cam videos all the time. Relax!
Hi...where are they sold, and you had mentioned a discount code. There's a bike shop in Winston-Salem. But not sure if they sell these. Thanks for responding
How much does the bike weigh with and without the battery. I like the waterproof rating. I have the Lectric 2.0 and took to Florida and got damp and wouldn’t work until we got to Ohio and it dried out.
This bike would not work at all for us on our van. First, it is a Class 3 bike. We stay at many state parks and many only allow class 1 bikes. For instance we were just at Debbie and John’s meet up (From She to Me) at Bosa Chica State Park. There is an 8 mile trail there and this is the rule “E-bikes: Only class 1 e-bikes are permitted on trails and controlled-access roads. “. Second, it has a rear hub drive motor which gives poor balance. Third, it has a minimal travel front suspension. You might want to look at the Aventon Ramblas. Class 1, strong mid drive, torque sensor, and water proof. We are older than you and feel this bike will allow us to keep traveling and biking past our 80s. It costs a little more but with better components I feel is worth it.
Gosh, so wonderful just to see you both. Miss you, but wishing you a great down time. See you soon. ❤
We hope you all will be back soon!
It is certainly the perfect e-bike
Now you’re ready for RAGBRAI!
Haha! Maybe from the bike perspective. 😂
I just bought one today, pine green color
Love that in water the battery still works. It’s a nice bike. Thank you for showing this bike.
We enjoyed your video. Ben looking for ebikes. Problem im 5'2 those might work for shorter folks..loved the low step thru too. Thanks for sharing...
nice to see you online- hope things are well.
What a beautiful fall day for a bike 🚲 ride.
Good to see you back.
Thanks for sharing your joy.
We miss you guys in Florida. Can’t wait ‘til your back traveling!! Miss seeing Maggie camping 😊

Off topic but love the Smokey the bear T-shirt. Where did you get it?
Believe this e-bike would be classified as a class 2 which might be a problem getting on trails ??

What models did you test

Great info video. What’s the name of the coe campground
It's heavy at 64 lbs. How do you transport it, with and without your RV?

$1749 is ALOT of money for us common folk….
I just bought one and I'm drawing social security, that's it.
Y’all still selling though

$1749 affordable? Hmmm must be a nice affiliate program.
Perfect until it breaks down from all the cheap components its made from. Its junk.
Way too expensive for a mediocre bike.
You can buy two bikes with 32amph batteries for less than this one!!
