Lynn, great shots of the Puffins! The still shot of the seagull flying away from you was incredible. The seagull and puffin drop was amazing. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
Incredible views; especially the coastline where you saw the breaching whale. The Puffins are cute, and there sure are a lot of them. Your photos were spectacular! So glad you were able to continue on with your trip. Stay well & thanks for sharing this wondrous place with all of us. Hugs for the sweetest Maggie.
This is David & Angie in Jacksonville, watching from the middle of nowhere PA (Caledonia State Park). Those 3 Roadtreks you camped beside may have been coming or going to "That Dam Event" that was put on in upstate New York the end of September!! So glad y'all saw the puffins. They were so cute, even though it seemed like they were bullies to the seagulls (until that one took care of them!). Happy tails and safe travels!!
Another wonderful video. I like the seamless variety of still shots, drone shots and hand held shots along with the appropriate music plus useful travel info and funny chatter. Brings a smile to my face even on a dreary cold morning.
This has now become one of my favorite videos y’all have done! Loved seeing the breaching whale & the puffins are soooooooooo adorable. We just got back from 2 weeks at Huntington Beach State Park & as cool as all the birds were there, nothing compares to the Puffins y’all saw!
Thank you, this was a very special part of our trip… one of my favorites and why we traveled to Newfoundland. As you know we love Huntington Beach, glad you enjoyed the wildlife there.
What an incredible day! Thank you for letting us see your whale sighting and the Puffins! I taught 3rd grade Reading for 27 years and we once had a reader that had a story about the pufflings in Iceland. I love that story so much I kept the readers when the district had moved onto another. My students loved that story and I do too. So for you to see them and give us this video of what you saw brought tears to my eyes. It makes me so happy!🥰 💜 I watch all your videos, I’ve just been busy the last few months and am catching up on your trip. I’m almost caught up but am definitely enjoying every minute because I don’t know if we will ever get up that far. Either way, thank you for showing us!
We did a 61 day Caravan trip to the Maritimes in 2019 and we didn’t see a moose either. Saw numerous road signs warning of them but not one live moose. 😢😢We got some nice Puffin photos also. Beautiful birds.
Hi Traveler's, I sent two years in Argentia compliments of the US Navy, hated living on base so I rented a room out in Placentia for $35 a month with a boat builder/ fisherman. Went totally native. 1963 to 65. My daughter lives in her 2023 Thor Tallero 20J (J is for Junk). after only 25,000 miles her alternator started making bearing noise, she took it to the local Dodge dealership. They told her they herd the noise but they could not honor the warranty because Thor put a larger alternator in , it was still charging . They said they could change it out fro $850 part plus labor. She lives in it and travels so she could not take it back to General RV in Harrisburg, Pa . She is still driving it that way and keeps a good eye on the power output. She does not have a generator but does have the big Lithium / solar system. Enjoy the rest of your time on the Rock. The people are wonderful, the music great and the food fantastic. We have been watching the TH-cam RVers that visited Newfoundland this year. We were there with our F250 and Lance 2285 travel trailer during July. The highlights for us were the Viking site at L'Anse Aux Meadows and the Puffins at Elliston. You are the only RVers who visited at least one of these sites and I realize that you had intended to visit the Viking sight, but scratched it because of your mechanical problems. We didn't have a camera like you had so we weren't able to get the great Puffing pictures you got, but we were able to get within 5' of the Puffins. They are truly amazing creatures. You can see Puffins on Islands off the northern coast of Maine, but it is nothing like Elliston Newfoundland. We also saw a number icebergs at L'Anse Aux Meadows. When we first saw the icebergs in the distance we thought they were cruise ships. I don't know why other RVers skipped these great Newfoundland destinations. Maybe because of the driving distances. The only bad part of the 5 eastern Canadian Provinces is that the provincial and municipal roads are terrible. The worst in North America America. Yukon and Alaska roads are better.
Both of these places were top on our list from our research, I do hate we didn’t make it to the Viking site but it does give us a reason to go back. I’m not sure why others didn’t go, Can’t imagine who wouldn’t love to see thousands of little puffins.
We saw them first in Alaska but they were way off in the distance. Being this close to them and actually hearing them fly by was something to behold. You should make it happen. Very cute birds. Smaller than you'd think though.
Yes we loved watching the sweet Puffins from Elliston too. The underground cellars there were pretty cool. I bought a stuffed puffin from a corner store in Elliston that I call Newf, and drives around in our campervan all the time lol.
Great video ❤️ 👍 Nice to see Maggie happy to trogt on the trails and enjoying her hammock again The Puffins were such a wonderful surprise and the whale too. You got great Puffings pictures
Enjoying your trip to Twillingate since we were just there in late September. Also found much closed but did enjoy the Long Point Lighthouse and Museum. We loved seeing the puffins but no moose for us in the seven weeks we were in the maritimes.
The puffins were so cool! Whale was pretty cool too! Those camping spots look awesome! What time of year were you there? It looked a little cold. We had 80 on Hilton Head Island yesterday and it will be 58 on Wednesday. I'm not ready for cold weather yet! Time to make chili!
What wonderful videos and memories y'all are going to have to look back on when you get old! I have enjoyed this trip so much! Y'all are living the dream for sure. I love the way you make me feel I'm right there with you. I know the sound of the whale breech was thrilling! Lynn, we are definitely kindred spirits. I'm right with you on things to do (and not do). I'm so glad you got to see the puffins! Your pictures/video were amazing. Definitely frameworthy! I just smiled the whole time and said. "Wow!" Right out loud. Thanks for making my day! So much love from SC, Jane ❤🙏 Enjoy this week!
Thank you Jane for your wonderful comment. It means so much that you can feel what we are trying to betray in our videos. This means so much. Much love!
Looks like y’all are about ready to come back to Florida lol When you first got there you had a group of vans traveling together and that would be nice but like my wife and I we are sociable but we have each other so we don’t need a tribe Nice vid and bring down some of that cooler weather
Hopefully we will be spending some time in Florida this winter. We have never tried traveling with a group, we like the freedom of making and changing plans as we go. We may try it just to see what it’s like maybe to Baja or something like that.
Enjoying your Newfoundland adventures. Thanks for sharing. Curious - what brand/model was the blanket that Lyn was wrapped up in? Looks different than some in that it looked to be fleece on the inside.
The brand name of the blanket is KawaGebo Kamp Sherpa Fleece. It is fleece on the inside and very warm, it also has a very pretty tree scene on the front. I use it mostly on the beds but it also works great for sitting by the fire. Here’s a link to our Amazon store if you are interested in taking a closer look www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle.
Lynn, great shots of the Puffins! The still shot of the seagull flying away from you was incredible. The seagull and puffin drop was amazing. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
I can’t take all the credit. A lot of the shots were taken by Owen. We appreciate you following along.
Great pics, Lynn. You are showing us how much we missed!
Thank you, glad we are sharing different things than what you saw.

Newfoundland is so spectacular in so many ways, I will forever grateful for the experience and being able to capture these moments.
Those dang seagulls are up to no good! Poor Puffins and their eggs and babies. Spectacular pictures Lynn! It was a joy to view them!
Thank you so much, i have to give Owen credit for some of the pictures and videos. He’s really good at capturing in flight shots.
Your videos are awesome, those little birds are adorable and the places you find to boondock are off the hook. So beautiful wish I was there ❤
As we look back on these video’s now it makes us wish we were there too.
Puffins. Are. Adorable! You got some nice shots there to remember it! 🐧
Puffins are the cutest little birds, we could have watched them all day.
Wow! The whale and Puffins! The Puffins are much smaller than I thought they would be. They are so cute! Your photography is AWESOME!
Thank you so much. The Puffins are the cutest birds ever, we could have watched them all day.

Thank you for sharing your Puffin encounter! They are so cute! Just saw a show on PBS about a Puffin sanctuary that's in Maine (I think).
I’ll have to look for the PBS show on Puffins. Thanks for sharing.
Nice recovery from the Balmer. Keep up the good things, dispose of the bad!
Thanks, it did put a damper on things but we had come to far to give and turns out things worked out just fine.
Wow! That was beautiful and fun. Great shots and videos of a remarkable bird. Thanks for sharing the adventurer.
You are so welcome and thank you for watching.
Wow I love the puffins! Y'all had a great day. Its so beautiful there, even in the rain.
It’s one of those places that you have to do things in the rain, but we didn’t mind. The puffins were well worth it.
We did a 61 day Caravan trip to the Maritimes in 2019 and we didn’t see a moose either. Saw numerous road signs warning of them but not one live moose. 😢😢We got some nice Puffin photos also. Beautiful birds.
We finally saw one mouse on the side of the road, I don’t think we got a picture. I agree Puffins are beautiful birds, I could watch them for hours.
Magnificent !
Thank you so much!

Everything about these traveling houses is expensive at some point. Thanks for being with us and the nice words.

I love it when checking off your bucket list is even better than you could imagine.

Another great video, Guys!! HR Puffin stuff for sure.
Are you up late or up early? Hope you're doing good. That was a make your wife happy for sure segment with the whales and puffins.

I was there in one of those 4 vans!
That is so awesome. I wish we could have met you guys. Were you guys traveling together?
N.L. is such an amazing place. The amount of boondocking places is crazy....The puffins we're really cool. Are they native to N.L. ? Happy Trails 🐕 👣
Yes, puffins are native to Newfoundland. It’s the best place for boondocking that we’ve ever been. Thanks for watching.
Glad you didn't get stranded after the alternator gave up! Did you have any problems with the Generator fuel line?
We did not have problems with the generator on this trip, thank goodness.
Very cool
Thank you!
East coasters ha ha. Afraid to camp alone.... in Canada haha.
Ha ha.

When are you all getting back to North Carolina?
We are back now. We are just a little behind on publishing these videos.
Minke whales is what you saw
Thanks for the information.
Tightwads are funny, you have to be stingy with your $. Fuel is a drain on one's cash flow.
The gas was a big drain on this trip but not having to pay for campsites helped a lot.
Is yall turning into Noofies?
I wouldn’t mind being a Noofie!
