This video's what convinced me to buy this board. I must have watched it 20 times before I actually bought it, then I skated it almost every day through 4 years of college. It's probably been a thousand miles and still rides great.
Hey guys i just want to say thanks for making this board! I've had mine for over a year now and couldn't be happier, it is a truly shred everything board. I actually just learned no-comply backside 360's on it the other day,The street trick not the slide! The simplicity is amazing and has made every riding style a blast! Thank you again, keep up the work!
that's rad FL. I gotta work on my no-comply game, I am on the KT most of the time myself and I have always liked the scoop action on the tail. Never tried that trick but sounds like it would fit well and up my slower speed game. Have fun out there and keep in touch man!
reminds me of the first NASH I ever had when I was like five; or seven,... I've skated through sooo many trends. 37 yrs now. I think I want one of those again, full circle. NICE!!!
Yeah man, when something works it works. Its always interesting to see form work well for slightly differnet functionality and then trigger a resurgence of old ideas. Stoked to see what you think of our take on it. If you ever get a chance to slap your feet on a KT you gotta stop back by and let us know how we did.
Longboards by Original Skateboards Paris V2 red trucks These ATF327 wheels 66m and 80duros also red with bones swiss bearings and red blood orange grip . mostly made for cruising and sliding
Frank Nguyen Haha there it is. Stoked man, I live my kt to buts, but the good news is we are releasing nose guards... As of NOW... So I don't have to keep smashing my nose up. No idea how much they are but probs pretty cheap,, my proto set is still killing it after a few months so I figured ID passthe word along. How do you like the Bears? Been thinking about those for my next set.
Longboards by Original Skateboards I got my bears in blue so that will obviously make me go faster. I want the arbiter to be an all around board so that's why I got the bears. When I go downhill, I usually ride the wobble. I couldn't be bothered changing the wheelbases so it really comes in handy to flip the hanger.
ToastAndMore awesome. The Arbiter KT is my go to board right now. Been wanting to get some time on the DK but I REALLY love the wheelbase options on the KT and I am a more midrange WB type of guy, so I feel like the KT is my jam. Hope you like yours as much as I like mine!
Longboards by Original Skateboards If you guys could find a way to make it slightly lighter it would be awesome and maybe make the nose a little wider to the front for toesides on the longest wheelbase (and durability) :3 But I can't think of anything else cause this board was already flawless to begin with :D
Longboards by Original Skateboards I bought mine almost six months ago and I am very happy with it. How about 8-ply option and low profile nosetail for transitions ?Maybe more wheelbase options on the shorter side?( don´t know if it´s technicaly possible) Other than that it´s an amazing board!
Max Fincher Yeaaahh, thanks for the good word Max! What's your setup looking like on that Arbiter KT and would you recommend to someone taking a look at the board as a possible new deck?
well as of right now I have abec 11 powerballs, caliber 44 degree trucks but im about to get some buzzed v3 trucks which im so stoked for! and yes of course I would!
aron rovers hell yeah Aaron, thanks for the good word man. A lot of blood sweat and tears went into this one. We experimented a ton of with hybrid single kick designs back in the day so when it came time to re-new that concept we knew we had to try to hit out of the park. Stoked it lived up to your expectations, its one of my favorites.
Thanks for the good word A1. Stoked you like the feel on that cave, I think a lot of people look at it and think HARSH but it really never felt that easy to me. Keep us posted on how that board treats you!
hoping to buy one later this year. im so excited, this would be my first board ever!! and I hope you guys release more graphics on this thing, it's dope but I want something different
Hey just wanted to say that I ordered your kt 35 lcd and it's so rad! (Even though I'm a guy) love the directional double kick. The rest of my crew has a dk and a kt 36. We bomb hills, hit 40 foot standups, and hit mini ramps plus stairs and rails! These boards to it all! (P.S. Cloud ride mini ozones are the best they dump thane for days) thanks for the great boards original!
That is sick Laz. Really stoked to hear it. Anytime we put a new board out it's always sort of like holding your breath to hear how people like it. Can't wait to see more people out there on these boards, I love the look of the LCD and gotta get some more time on it myself!
Will do, had a 5 hour session with it today, man I love running the shortest wheelbase, standups are a breeze. thanks for providing the community with such an amazing board!
I purchased this board and I love it! Even thoughi I almost strictly do fast freeride on it 30-50 foot standups (they are getting bigger:) ) I have my trucks mounted in one of the wider options and it is so consistent! Very good board arbiter!
Hey I really enjoyed that video I know lots of people who have it. I just wanted to ask you a question about wheels as it wont be that long till I core mine! What wheel number like would you reccomend for sliding and standies. Also toeslides and stuff and a bit of freestyle! Would it be 79a?
Hi! I was looking to see which board would be right for me. I'm looking for one that I can cruise around with friends and do some tricks. I'm still a beginner and would like to see which board you recommend for me!
Rok Seo stoked to hear you are getting into it Rok. I guess it really depends on how serious you think you are going to get as far as the tricks etc are concerned. If you think thats going to be a big part of what you do I would really check out the Apex 37 DiamondDrop (or the Apex 40). Those decks are bullet proof vs the damage that you will do to it learning new tricks, which is a great thing. If you think you are going to be more into sliding tricks and downhill-ish stuff the Apex is still good but you might check out the Arbiter KT or even the Vecter 37. How tall and how heavy are you? Maybe I can give you a more specific recommendation.
I've been trying to get in to longboarding or pool boards lately 'cause I'm not a technition like so many 10 year olds. I have been riding for 30 years now I really have an apprieciation of the old skool tricks that were building blocks. I love power slides lay-backs, finger flips, and shuv-it varials. When was the last time you heard of a varial? or sex-change for that matter?
Longboards by Original Skateboards Hey original! I'm thinking about ordering the baffle 37. Im from South Africa. How long will it take to ship and What will the shipping costs be?
Hi! I love my KT. I had it for more than a year know with the third wheelbase option at the back (starting from the middle/inside of the board) and the forth wheelbase option in the front. Once I set up the front truck in it innermost wheelbase but then I read that its better to have a longer wheelbase for longer slides. Im 5'8, what wheelbase do you recomend me? I know the basic slides, heelside and toeside 180, and I want to elongate my slides more but also have a do everthing wheelbase. I have my KT set up with some caliber IIs 44 degrees and cadillac swingers 78a by the way. Thanks! Love Original!
So UPS delivered my Arbiter KT yesterday and it looks great. I went with the Paris V2 Trucks and Orangatang Cages. The wheels are 73mm with a 41.5 contact patch and 86a duras... Do you think the wheels are too tall? Should I get shorter wheels to avoid wheel bite? I would appreciate your input. :)
Just bought this one!!!! Im so happy to finali have a perfect longboard. I had a Santa Cruz but its to big and cant really slide with it. Great Board!!
Gandalf Can I say anything with more emphasis than, "Gandalf bought an Original?" haha. That's for the support. Let us know what you think of it once you get it riding. I'll say it again and again: I love this board. I think you will too!
Hey thanks! :D Still didnt get it but its probably coming this week. It looks so amazing! The only problem will be the weather. Here its gonna be rainy :( But i can wait. Rain wont stop my from riding this amazing builded Arbiter 36KT longboard!
looking to getting the arbiter kt but I was just wondering if I'll be able to ride a really lose set up with soft bushing, 50 degree trucks and 72mm wheels with out any wheel bite....? cheers
Original HAAALP MEHH! I'm planning on getting the 37'DD and was wondering if it is good for downhill. I'm not buying it for downhill, getting it for whats its made for, freestyle, just curious if I see a hill should I go down it with the 37.
Tough Call. They are both great. When I head into New York I will usually take the Arbiter KT just because I like it better for hills and you never know where you will end up. They are both great options with similarly short wheelbases (ie. they both carve like crazy). How tall and how heavy are you?
What is the difference between "The Arbiter 36" and "The Arbiter 36 KT" ? And what would you prefer "The Baffle" or "The Arbiter" for Freestyle/slide ?
***** The difference between the Arbiter 36 and the Arbiter KT is the concave and the kick. The Arbiter KT has a more aggressive concave through to the nose and a kicktail, which the Arbiter 36 does not. The Baffle, on the other hand, is more for tech-freeride, but if you're looking to do freestyle, between the three, the Arbiter KT is your best bet. However, the real freestyle beast is the Apex. Have you checked that board out?
I am looking into picking up an Arbiter KT very soon. I started longboarding a couple months ago on a massive sector 9 board. i found out about sliding and fell in love with it. i tried a couple times on my board but it only lets me kick it out a tiny bit due to the fat wheels and the heavy board. i was wondering what wheels I should get on this board if I want to have a wheel that is easy to slide on but yet picks up some good speed downhill. I heard good things about the orangatang 70mm 80A wheels but im not sure. I would also want to ride around town with the board.
Timothy Huang I really like the Volante Checkers I have on my KT. I feel like they are a good mix between slide and control. I can break them free easy enough but its not like some of the super slick stuff out there. A buddy of mine has the same board with Mini-Checkers and those seem like they have even a little bit more initiation, plus a touch less weight (smaller wheel) so if that sounds good to you I might go that direction. Otangs would work too but I would go with one of the new hubbed versions, Keanus or Kilmers. Stoked to see what you think of that KT.
Hey Original, I was looking at this board and I really like it, I want to do some freeride, downhill and a few tricks here and there, I heard that this board is perfect for that, but I had one question. Is it good for just cruising around? Cuz that's one of the things I'll be doing the most.
That Skater That's a great question, and the KT can be a fun board to cruise around on (plus freeride, downhill, and a few tricks, which is what you're looking for). I have mine setup on the smallest wheelbase, which really allows me to cruise and carve when I want to, but with a little adjustment, I'm also able to do fast freeride. Let us know if you have any other questions. This deck is one of the favorites in my quiver.
Honestly this board is the best board IV ever ridden I bought it off my friend max the guy you were talking to in the coments I progressed as soon I rode it. It was a little bit heavy at first but I got used to it but DO NOT get it for cruising I ride it to spots in my neighborhood (less than 1 mile away) and my legs just start to cramp up
Dawson Williams Hey Dawson - I cruise on my KT, but if you don't push with both legs, it certainly gets tiring no matter what deck you have. Glad you're progressing with the KT. Thanks for the good word.
Hey original. Can i get this deck with my orangatang 4president wheels 70mm And my paris v2 trucks?? I wanna buy him but i wanna be shore i dont have wheelbite. Please answer
So I'm kinda new to sliding and I'm just not sure what board to get. I really like the one y'all showed here but I don't know if it's perfect for me considering the fact that I have never slid on a board before I also have this cruising/carving deck but I don't think I can do slides with it because of the length of the deck.
@@originalskateboards I run surfrodz and Cadillac swingers for free riding and I use trackers and sugar mamas for vert. I wanna grab the DK version too
Arbiter DK, or KT? I can't decide which to get. I love stand up slides and freestyle, with a little downhill (mainly just to get enough speed to pop some awesome slides). Which one?
Jake Moore The difference between the DK and the KT is about two things: do you want a symmetrical or asymmetrical board? Do you want a smaller or longer wheelbase?
I got this board of the original website and i noticed that there were diffrent sizes on the wheels but i had no more money to buy better wheels. So my question is are the wheels that come with the board good for down hill.? And to cruise with some friends
The Kryptonics are a standard wheel that are good for riders just starting out and just going from point A to point B. If you're going to upgrade anything on your board, wheels are usually my first suggestion because they help customize the deck more towards the type of riding you're looking to get into. -Lindsay
I used to Skateboard years ago, but now I want to get in Longboarding. I like this type of board because it could do a lot.. Im trying to figure out what type of trucks, wheels, etc. to put on the board. Is there any other design of boards?? Where can I get more info on this? is this type of board good to ride fast, slide, cruise?
This board is good for speeding down hills and for cruising. For wheels id recommend o.j. "hot juice" wheels or any other type of hard wheels for sliding.
It depends on a couple of things. What kind of riding are you looking at getting into? What's your weight/height? The Arbiter KT is a good all around deck that comes in at a nice price point. Riding it at a shorter wheelbase setup option will give you the ability to really learn how to carve. We have more photos of the board and videos if you head over to our website: originalskateboards.com/longboards/arbiter-36-kt
I'm mostly comfortable with just carving down some hills as long as my board doesn't start to wobble. But I'm hoping to pick up sliding. I'm wondering if this board is one that can carve hills with the kind of stability you would see in the pintail if I'm not feeling like I want to slide.
Hey Connor, The thing to remember is that for a lot of people having a board that is super stable (before you learn better control of your balance) is actually counter intuitive to learning to slide. You can make your deck more stable by cranking down your trucks but then its actually more difficult to get your body (and board) in position to slide, which is a key thing beginners have trouble with. That said I might look at the Drop Freeride 41, super easy initiation and more stable.
Longboards by Original Skateboards Fair enough. I will say I am drawn to this board and currently have one in my shopping cart. So I'm also hoping it would/could be good to learn on with the proper setup.
Would the 50 caliber trucks still be stable between 20 and 30 mph? And also would riding softer bushings on the 44 cals help the lean or carve more for slower freeriding?
They are plenty stable BUT If you are just getting started 30mph will feel fast. The biggest determining factor in terms of stability is actually rider skill level / experience. The pro guys can go 30 on an Original truck with no tension on it (which would probably kill you or me hah). That said I am super confident at 30mph on a Caliber 50s but you might need to practice to feel the same. I wouldn't start out on 44s since they will hurt your ability to learn new stuff under 15-20mph.
Hey thanks a lot for replying to my question. That answer was exactly what I was looking for :) Going to order a Baffle 37 with the 50 Cals, couldn't be more stoked! Keep doin what you guys are doin.
I'm thinking about getting the Arbiter 36 deck, I'm 5'5" and I weigh 115,I love sliding and I am looking into getting into downhill. Would this deck be a good option for me?
Blake Altenbernd Hey Blake, Sounds pretty dialed to me man, The only thing I might think about doing is going with the Arbiter KT since you are a smaller rider. The KT has more shorter wheelbase choices (not to mention the kick haha) which I think can help dial a setup if you aren't the tallest guy in the world. The OG Arbiter 36 is also awesome and DOES have wider wb options which can help with stability, but in general I think the KT fits you better personally. What do you think?
Elliot Wills Hey Elliot, We have a factory store here in new jersey, but that's it! We frequently ship all over the U.S. and Canada not to mention worldwide for $60usd. That said, we sort of got this remote support thing down. Let us know if we can help!
Elliot Wills Sort of, The thing to remember is that we do this stuff all the time. Its one of the reasons we try to be pro-active about helping people choose decks (both on our site and on YT). The being said the best way to tell if you like a board is always to borrow one from a friend and ride it yourself. Having a really clear idea of what YOU want, and communicating that well to the shop or brand you are choosing is a close second. Where are you from?
Elliot Wills Look up Newton's Shred, they stock a ton of our stuff in the UK though I am not sure how close they are to you. How tall and how heavy are you? Matching your height and weight to your board is the most critical part of that process. Off the top of my head the Arbiter KT really stands out for hybrid cruising / dh. I actually learn a lot of technical sliding tricks on that board, for faster stuff I usually swap to the Baffle or Maven.
Justin Knight give a ring, we don't usually keep decks around without the graphic (generally the art is applied as soon as they are done and off the press). We *might* have a proto or something laying around but you will have more luck giving a call to check on that!
funkyninja158 for slides, absolutely. Its going to have a good range of wheelbases for you to work with too, so you can find one you like (start with the shortest one since you are a smaller rider!). Another good option would be the Arbiter KT. Even though you are looking for a sliding / freeride board the shorter wheelbase on the DK will make turning a little bit tighter. Personally I spend more time on the KT but I ride more hills than ramps etc.
About 8 years later, and i still have mine, I remember this video all the time when i go out and ride on it, you guys left legacy!
Much Love! 💝
This video's what convinced me to buy this board. I must have watched it 20 times before I actually bought it, then I skated it almost every day through 4 years of college. It's probably been a thousand miles and still rides great.
Same story here man
every time i watch a video by originals i feel like i need to buy EVERYTHING you have because it all looks so fun and awesome
That's because it is so fun and awesome - haha. Glad you're enjoying our videos, so long as you get out there and keep riding, we're ok with that too!
Longboards by Original Skateboards i'm a loaded rider, but i'll always be your biggest fan

I've had my Arbiter Kt for almost a year now... and after watching this I can honestly say that it was the best board choice I ever made.
ChristiaanJ Risc that is just about as killer a review as we could ever hope for.
Anything you would like to see added to the KT for next year?

ChristiaanJ Risc And maybe make the length 37.5 with a wider width? :P That'd be dope for downhill
Longboards by Original Skateboards defiantly make the nose a bit wider keep basically everything else the same except little tweaks

Same, been looking around and this board seems to be the best for what I'm wanting.
This is going to be my 6th deck to my quiver. And it looks like it'll be a quiver killer. Best board on the market
stupid question but at 0:26 what is on the top of his deck. on the bolts. i know its so your foot does not get misplaced but what is he using?
Taylor Rozynski That is not a stupid question. It's a foot stop, and that's exactly what it's used for.
Just got the board.best ride EVER!!!
what wheels do you recommend

So UPS delivered my Arbiter KT yesterday and it looks great. I went with the Paris V2 Trucks and Orangatang Cages. The wheels are 73mm with a 41.5 contact patch and 86a duras... Do you think the wheels are too tall? Should I get shorter wheels to avoid wheel bite? I would appreciate your input. :)
Those should definitely be big enough. A tad big in my opinion :)
Thinking of setting up some Surfrodz indeesz on mine. Wondering what's your thoughts?
What grip tape is on the board 3:15
That's RDVX Grip Tape - facebook.com/RDVXGrip
Who is that at 3:35? kinda got the same style
i believe that is john kreutter
Also what is the music from the video? Its an amazing song!!
hhhmmmm I was wondering which board you'd suggest for a beginner looking for a multipurpose longboard
Which wheelbase option is best for downhill/free ride??
I'm thinking about putting 76mm raceforms on mine. Would it have any bite?
looking to getting the arbiter kt but I was just wondering if I'll be able to ride a really lose set up with soft bushing, 50 degree trucks and 72mm wheels with out any wheel bite....? cheers
Original HAAALP MEHH!
I'm planning on getting the 37'DD and was wondering if it is good for downhill. I'm not buying it for downhill, getting it for whats its made for, freestyle, just curious if I see a hill should I go down it with the 37.
This is the cutest, dorkier tat person in the world and I'm a fan
Wow, I really hope your taste matures dude...
1:02 ....... that Manhattan throwback.....
I'm looking for a board that can initiate slides easier, would you say this or the baffle for that?
Would the Arbiter KT be better than the Arbiter DK on mostly flatland riding? o.o
Tough Call.
They are both great.
When I head into New York I will usually take the Arbiter KT just because I like it better for hills and you never know where you will end up. They are both great options with similarly short wheelbases (ie. they both carve like crazy). How tall and how heavy are you?
Longboards by Original Skateboards i'm 5'6 and 150 lbs :)
Longboards by Original Skateboards: Do you sell to Brazil?
Stoked to see what you think of that KT.
get radical, gnarly brother man.
hey original what would be better for someone that's new to freeride, baffle 37 or arbiter KT?
what setup for this board is good for DH riding and slides? 5'9" 160 lbs
Nice! thanks for the info, pretty sure this is going to be my next board!
Hey, I've been wanting this board for a while now and put 44 degree Calibers on it. What size hangers would best fit this board? 9" or 10". Thanks!
Hey original.
Can i get this deck with my orangatang 4president wheels 70mm
And my paris v2 trucks??
I wanna buy him but i wanna be shore i dont have wheelbite.
Please answer
So I'm kinda new to sliding and I'm just not sure what board to get. I really like the one y'all showed here but I don't know if it's perfect for me considering the fact that I have never slid on a board before I also have this cruising/carving deck but I don't think I can do slides with it because of the length of the deck.
I'd also like a board with a kick tail but still I have no clue which board to buy because there is so many lol.
At 1:38 only axel is riding the arbiter kt
I want this board so bad
I'm going to romania next month and I don't wanna carry around 2 longboards do u guys suggest this one?
I own this board and I love it. I've done 60mph on it and I use it to skate pools.
Thanks for the love! Stoked you're enjoying it. It's certainly a fave around here too!
Which one?
Kt bro
"hot juice" wheels or any other type of hard wheels for sliding.
go for the arbiter dk
What's a good cheap longboard for beginners?
It depends on a couple of things. What kind of riding are you looking at getting into? What's your weight/height? The Arbiter KT is a good all around deck that comes in at a nice price point. Riding it at a shorter wheelbase setup option will give you the ability to really learn how to carve. We have more photos of the board and videos if you head over to our website: originalskateboards.com/longboards/arbiter-36-kt
did you not watch this video?
Down hill I say arbiter 36
Nice video
I'm mostly comfortable with just carving down some hills as long as my board doesn't start to wobble. But I'm hoping to pick up sliding. I'm wondering if this board is one that can carve hills with the kind of stability you would see in the pintail if I'm not feeling like I want to slide.
Hey Connor,
The thing to remember is that for a lot of people having a board that is super stable (before you learn better control of your balance) is actually counter intuitive to learning to slide.
They are plenty stable BUT
If you are just getting started 30mph will feel fast.
***** Siick man, let us know how that Baffle treats you Kyle.
I really love mine so hopefully yours works out just as well.
Again i made up my mind on a new board and original have to do this
I want to be sponsored by Original not because they make awesome boards, but because they seem to be awesome people you just want to hang out with
For sliding would you recommend put the trucks out towards the nose and tail or the middle?
Terje Wells The tightest wheelbase is a good starting point for slow speed sliding. What's your weight/height?
nice'n short!
i'll get this to christmas
Are those the volante checkers ornthe volante mini checkers on the board?
this is golden
I'm thinking about getting the Arbiter 36 deck, I'm 5'5" and I weigh 115,I love sliding and I am looking into getting into downhill. Would this deck be a good option for me?
Blake Altenbernd Hey Blake,
Sounds pretty dialed to me man,
The only thing I might think about doing is going with the Arbiter KT since you are a smaller rider.
Will I get wheel bite with bear 852 and abec 11 flash backs 70mm
I remember when my board looked that new.
I was just wondering the only way to buy this board is online, there arent any Original stores are there ?
Elliot Wills Hey Elliot,
We have a factory store here in new jersey, but that's it! We frequently ship all over the U.S. and Canada not to mention worldwide for $60usd. That said, we sort of got this remote support thing down. Let us know if we can help!
Longboards by Original Skateboards Oh Okay, so it is kind of a gamble buying it may not be the right board for me. :/
Elliot Wills Sort of,
The thing to remember is that we do this stuff all the time.
Longboards by Original Skateboards
Im from Uk, south west. Im interested in downhill and a bit of cruising. I'm 15.
What the size of the trucks ? I have the trucks original 200mm s8
Hey Originals, i want this board, but without the graphic... Do you guys do that? Thanks!
I already have the Arbiter 36, but i would like 1 board with a huge kicktail and i chose this board!
Justin Knight give a ring, we don't usually keep decks around without the graphic (generally the art is applied as soon as they are done and off the press). We *might* have a proto or something laying around but you will have more luck giving a call to check on that!
What's a good beginner board? I weigh 135 lb and 5'5 tall. Looking at the KT, is that good for learning slides?
funkyninja158 for slides, absolutely.
