yay I have this board its not that bad good for more of the people with larger feet but that doesn't matter too much it does have a lot of pop if your looking to do an oille or something I haven't got many slides in yet its still good and make sure if u do get this board to have the right trucks like original trucks will kill the wells on the board so I recommend calibers there amazing or even bears those are good too hope u enjoy
Sounds like a good combo to me, I have white Caliber 44s and a set of Volante checkers on my Baffle and I like it a lot. I think flashbacks would be a solid choice with that setup as well.
Landon Dallmann hell yeah. You gotta get back to us when you get some time to try that thing out and let us know how you like it. Solid deck choice on my preferred technical freeriding deck. Stoked to see what you think!
After about a moth with it, I can say I truly love it. Ive done a ton of freeride and a little downhill on it and it's great for both. The flares have the perfect amount of concave to keep you locked in. It is AMAZING!
ET Phone Home nah man, those are two totally different decks, I actually have both and I love both. If I had to choose one I guess I would choose the Baffle BUT thats just because I slant more toward freeride and DH and only get involved in park here and there. I love the hell out of my DK but I don't think it's quite as versatile on the hills, where as the Baffle is not as versatile on the ramps but more on the hills.
Marc Jacobe yeaaaaaaaah Marc! Love that deck. Hit my first continuous 360 on that thing and never looked back. Hope you like it as much as I do. Either way come back and let us know what's up / how you are liking it.
Recently got the baffle deck with caliber 44*s and i have cracks already in the wheel wells :/ Is there any guards being developed? Like nose/wheel well guards? If so, please give an update if you consider this, its a common problem and occurs very easily even from the board just flipping, thanks. Keep up the good work!
i just got mine yesterday, im loving the way it reacts compared to my bustin boombox but it also feels less stable at higher speeds. not sure if i need to change my footing when using this board or what. running it with caliber trucks and some these wheels.
There's still snow on the ground over here, but we're hoping once the weather clears up we can do more stuff like this. Thanks for the feedback! -Lindsay
Chris Le Sounds like fun to me. That gets tricky because the wheelwells are already putting a lot of stress on the wood to begin with. Adding kicktails is sort of a double jeopardy type deal and is one of the key reasons you don't see very many full kicks paired with shapes like the Baffle. I am with you, would be awesome to have some serious kick to it, currently its sort of a faux kick created by the rocker and the flush mount, though I can ollie it (just got ollie 180s front side actually)
Hey, I'm looking for a freeride board. Thinking about the arbiter kt or the baffle. I know stand ups but want to take it to the next level. Would be nice with a kick. Which board is best for standies? Is the concave of the arbiter kt sufficient for looooong slides or is the baffle better?
I saw in concretewavemag. I think that there is going to be a 2015 baffle. Are you only going to change the graphic or also other things (concave, length..) ? Btw I have a baffle and it's just really awesome :p I love doing standies and toesides on it, it just feels really nice :p
There 100% is a 2015 Baffle. Right now we are actually going back and forth on that exact topic. There are some construction improvements we have been prototyping for the deck (way lighter, -15%) for a little while now, and some outline changes / changes to the wheelwells that we think make it a better deck. Right now we are trying to figure out which of those we can get done and still get it out for spring. The others would get pushed to fall I think.
Got the Baffle 37...My first slide was painfull :D because I only slided with the Pintail 40 or a Loaded boards up to this point. The Baffle just slided to good and i flew of the board xD This board is perfect to learn sliding and to improve it. Its stable on Downhill too I love this board nearly as much as my old Pintail 40. Greets from Germany :)
Darius Chrunt so stoked that you are enjoying your board. It's crazy how that happens when you switch boards, but in a good way. Keep on riding! Thanks for sharing your stoke!
Wow its funny u say that first board I had was pintail 40 with orangutans and slided for days and now I have the baffle and can't worth crap but I can kickflip on it with no prob
Mhong thrash rad. Haven't actually tried the new LED wheels but I do like what Sector 9 has been doing with their urethane lately, maybe take a look at the LED stuff they just released?
would you guys recommend this bored to someone just getting into long boarding? i live in an area with a lot of variety, would mostly do cruising but would like to be able to do more if i decided to. i weigh roughly 160 and im 5'8. would you suggest it? thanks to any replies!
BeatMasterDrew You ever decide between these two boards Beat? I have been straight loving my baffle for the past 4 months. Can't say enough good things about it as far as technical sliding is concerned. Learned front side 270 checks (both switch and regular) to go with a ton of spinning slide combos, figured I would check back to see if you got one, and if so, how you liked it : )
Im a beginner coming from a rayne future killer, im 6'2 180lbs i want to start to learn standups? is this the board for me? btw.. would 70mm wheels fit with a looser setup?
I just got my baffle a few days ago and I was wondering what is the best place to put the trucks for downhill/sliding? Likewise, whats the best place for a skate park?
TheGamerfreak1555 I actually ride mine all the way in on the shortest wheelbase all day every day. Most of the time when I am on my baffle I am working on some more technical slide trick or another, the initiation you get being over the trucks combined with the wheelwell flairs is pretty insane for that stuff. Shortest WB is also going to give you the biggest "kicks" and should help with pop for tricks etc so I think I would go that way unless you are super tall dude, I am 5'11 and I like the inner best.
(Baffle 37 Vs Arbiter 36) From owning both, I can say if you like techy freeride, a big platform, and mad ollies, the arbiter is for you. If you like big slides, that are easy and confident the baffle is for you. Side notes the baffle manuals better than the arbiter, at least for me. Also the arbiter is directional, and the way i ride it it wears wheels weird, i have to rotate them more, on the baffle, i just ride the board backwards, its the same board. Never have to rotate them! (FYI I'm 210 lbs so things may be a little different)
lolo bang You can absolutely pick up a Baffle as a beginner. What's your weight/height and what type or riding are you interested in getting into? Those are the two key things that help determine what longboard will suit you the best.
Im about 150 lbs. and Im almost 6 feet I wanna Go fast like a downhill speed but I can easily slide. Thankyou guys for helping really appreciate helping around your supporters.
lolo bang We'd be nothing without you guys, and it's awesome to connect and chat with people all over who share the same passion/interests that we do, so thanks :) The Baffle 37 at your weight/height is a good option, especially since you know that you want to go fast. The wheel wells create a faux kick, which will also allow you to push out some aggressive slides. Hope that helps!
I feel like the truck mount holes aren't lined up right, whenever i try and change my setup my hardware will never line up with my holes in my trucks, and its not like it just by a little, i mean its like off by a lot. Am i the only one experiencing this problem???????
A lot of people might be asking this, but I'm wondering if this board is good to learn how to perfect stand up slides on. I recently learned how on a Bustin Maestro 38 but I'm not digging the drop through feel so much anymore and really want to try a top mount. Would this board be good for me? I'm almost 6' and close to 150 lbs.
Morgan Freeman seems like a great addition to the quiver to me. You are going to get a lot of easy initiation that you are used to from the drop + rocker of that Maestro but its going to feel a lot more lively as a topmount with big flares. I think the strengths are slide intiation and slide rotation. Learned pretty much all of my spinning slides / combos on this thing not to mention my switch checks (both front and back), even stuck a 360 early grab on the ramps. Great board to progress on, no doubt.
What size wheel would you recommend with basically no risers at 0.02 risers ? would 70mm be a good size with no wheelbite or should i stick with a 65mm ?
22foe Depends on how much board lean you like and on how determined you are to use soft bushings. Every top mount on the market can get wheelbite if you have a 70mm wheel and a super soft bushing (assuming no risers). It's all about finding what works for you. If you are going to ride with soft bushings drop down to 65mms to give yourself some more room for deeper carves, or bump up to something like 85a x 90a on the bushings and that will cause your trucks to not lean as much giving you more room for bigger wheels. I actually have 70mms on my deck with stock bushings and it works fine but it will also depend on rider height / weight etc.
Longboards by Original Skateboards Im gonna be doing alot of Fast freeride mainly , and im 5'6 and 140 Pounds , So stick with the 65 just to be safe ? thanks for your time , Really appreciate it !!
holden youens If you're looking at mostly doing freeride, the Arbiter KT is a great option. If you're looking at doing more downhill, go with the Baffle. Did you end up picking up a board?
Hmm, I think the Baffle 37 is a really killer option there Emil. I have one and I personally learn all of my most technical stuff on that deck. Its SUPER easy to for spinning / rotating slides and I think the slide initiation that the wheelwell flairs give you is a huge help for new riders looking to slide. The other board I would take a look at, if you are going to do freestyle tricks here and there, would be the Arbiter KT. That said if its more about tricks, Apex DiamondDrop all the way.
Marcus Ravensbergen Hey Marcus, These are actually a little different than most reviews in that the riders we ask to do them have a hand in the actual development of the boards. It's more like a review of the work done and some extra perspective on the boards we build. I am not sure that Globe does videos like this, it seems like most of their stuff on TH-cam is focused on the Bantam cruiser penny board style stuff when I checked it out. Regardless, have fun and let us know if we can help pick a board out.
my friend got this less than a weak ago, and it already has a huge crack in one of the wheel wells, and another smaller crack in one of the other wheel wells.
jordans8201 Hey man - sorry to hear that. Have your friend send pictures of his board and order information to customersupport@originalskateboards.com, and we'll help him out. We appreciate the support.
Food4theBrain Take it with a grain of salt since, well, this isn't a totally unbiased review; The LT has WAY steeper concave than the Baffle. That isn't to say it has more concave (though I guess it might) but the steepness is what stands out to me going back and forth. If you like super steep sharper feeling concave, I would give the LT the edge, personally I feel like its a bit much (again unbiased right?) and go with the Baffle. Other stuff; Baffle has longer kicks and a wider platform, a bit cheaper.
Longboards by Original Skateboards The DB lunchtray is super uncomfortable as far as standing on it, it's got so much concave it's unbearable and it hurts your ankles after a while of sliding.
Thats a pretty tall order just because 75mms are usually a more race oriented wheel if for no other reason than their weight. I have a set of 75mm x 60mm protos on my race deck (Maven 35) which has less clearance than the Baffle but I had to work with my bushing setup to run properly. You have the advantage with 50 Cals that they are pretty tall so that helps. Could look at some 85a / 90a Riptides for bushings and upgrade your ride while you are at it. Stock Caliber bushings are like 80a
I've got this board and the grip is starting to wear off I was wondering what new grip I should get. I like hitting hills and pulling of slides but nothing to fast, what do you guys think?
TheLinmcgann Hey Lin, I'd give RDVX a try. It might be too gritty for just carving but if you are sliding at all I think its going to be a big upgrade.
Niklas Witti Sort of similar decks in concept but really different executions. They are both focused on downhill / fast freeride, I would say the Vecter has a slight edge for more downhill / race oriented stuff while the Baffle has a slight edge for more technical slide based stuff, as smaller wheelbases are available. The Vecter is a fiberglass deck where as the Baffle is straight 9 maple, and because of that the Vecter bends wood in ways we couldn't without the glass. What kind of riding are you doing?
Longboards by Original Skateboards I am normaly freeriding, but i want to get more into downhill. The problem is, that the hills around aren't the best so I am freestyling a lot. Most people would say go with the apex 37 but i like to have a lot of stance close to the truck's and big wheelflares to lock my feet for slides.
Hey I have never long boarded before I am 15 weigh about 110 lbs and am looking to start longboarding i was looking into the pintail 40 and was wondering which I should buy baffle 37 or pintail 40 im thinking start with pintail then when I want to do slide and serious downhill buy a baffle
Are you still looking to pickup a longboard? How tall are you? Starting off with a Pintail is a really great option because you can learn how to carve, and as you progress pickup something like the Baffle 37. It's up to you, you can also pickup the Baffle 37 if you're really wanting to get into that shape right now. The wheel flares will allow you to lock in and initiate your first slides.
RentedHD I think Sean's Baffle is on Caliber 50s with Volante Checkers. i was talking to him yesterday and I think he actually swapped to the mini-checkers since he liked them so much on the Arbiter DK prototype he was riding. I had 44 Calibers on my baffle and liked the stability boost a lot, I didn't feel like it was any harder to slide, but just pushed the speed sweet spot up over 30mph which was a good thing when I had a lot of hills. Now... not so much so I may go back to 50s myself.
Longboards by Original Skateboards Thanks man. Really appreciated. I love the sort of color scheme he has with the White/Blue and I couldn't find anything that looked so smooth like his. Again, Thanks.
Hey There, I saw on your website that if Iam going to buy a longboard that I can order an extra deck-only at a low price. how long will this action remain, because I want to go buy one but have only about 4 months enough money?
Mystery129 The Baffle 37 deck comes in at $199. You can find the board on our website (www.originalskateboards.com/longboards/baffle-37-longboard-skateboard). Let us know if you need anymore help picking out the board or ordering it.
Fernando Gomez nah man, your math might be a little fuzzy. You can pickup a Baffle deck for $119 any day of the week, or get it complete for under $210 with Bears, Calibers (my choice), or Paris trucks. There are cheaper options but as far as any deck remotely in the same shape / style, the Baffle is at least as inexpensive as the next option. Plus you get actual support from people who don't shy away from the tough ones if you have a question on TH-cam
It was a exaggeration if you could not tell. Anyways, I'm not gonna hate. You guys have done a great job on all the decks and completes and videos and everything. But not everywon can afford such a pretty deck. Maybe to help out throw out some giveaways once a month or a special discount code if you buy certain things. Just trying to say buying a board isnt the same as it was 10 years ago. Its kinda tough with our economy. Ya know what I mean? Well if you do, keep doing what you doing and live up.👍

Sorry about the way Lancia, Criticism is a good thing as far as we are concerned for sure. We would be stoked to hear what you would do differently on those other boards. That said, super happy you are into the Baffle! If you end up getting some time on it be sure to write back and let us know what you think.
this guy is a total boss. need more of him
jalla balla Haha yeah Sean has fun with it and is for sure one of our key guys over here.
No doubt more fun to come.
I bought this board a week ago and now it is my favorite board in the lineup
Bought one 2 days ago, instantly learnd heelside on switch. Awesome deck.
Just purchased this board, can't wait to get to skate it!
I love my baffle, thank u guys for making a board that feels like it was made for me

305DOPELIFE Awesome! Thanks for the support. What do you think of the board? #getbaffled.
Aaaahhhhg!! I shoulda got this deck instead of sector 9 DH devision pro model.
Much more of what I was looking for in a deck.
I got this beauty hours ago, really excited.
Arturo Soberanis yeeewww! Thanks for the support. Let us know what you think about the deck once you start getting out there and riding. #getbaffled
Longboards by Original Skateboards awesome as hell, super stable, really comfortable and very strong construction
nice board !!!
i want to buy this board on this summer!!
with midnight green Caliber trucks and Abec 11 flashbacks
Sounds like a good combo to me, I have white Caliber 44s and a set of Volante checkers on my Baffle and I like it a lot. I think flashbacks would be a solid choice with that setup as well.
I like how they act more human in their videos than other companies
"what does the wolf say"
apparently WOOSH
(in all seriousness, this is the downhill board I was looking for!)
Mine was sent out today! So hyped!

One of my favorite original decks a really great choice
Peter Hubert Thanks for the love. #getbaffled
I have this board and it's amazing, I'm in loved
Stoked you like it Franco! Thanks for the good word man.
Got my complete today at waterboyz might change the hardware wheels and bearings but I love it
So amazing board!
WOW LOVE THIS BOARD!!!!!!!!
waiting for my baffle! hype train!
Marc Jacobe yeaaaaaaaah Marc! Love that deck. Hit my first continuous 360 on that thing and never looked back.
Hope you like it as much as I do. Either way come back and let us know what's up / how you are liking it.
just got this board its beast
Thanks for the good word Kelly! What kind of riding are you doing / what's working well for you?
What song was that?! Sick board too by the way.
I never can do a slide have this board 3 months and i can do 15 slides now love this board :)
MR.playstation thats what we like to hear. Same thing happened to me: no continuous 360s, got my baffle -> easy 360s. Love this deck for tech stuff.
THE SWORD!
LOL this was uploaded on my birthday :)
This shape does everything.
It does do SOME of everything. I would say that freeride / slide control is its strongest point for sure though.
i just got mine yesterday, im loving the way it reacts compared to my bustin boombox but it also feels less stable at higher speeds. not sure if i need to change my footing when using this board or what. running it with caliber trucks and some these wheels.
At 1:04 the music has that 1970-1978 Black Sabbath sound and vibe to it.
Finally giving Arthur Job some recognition, dope.
Dude kills it and has for a long time. Stoked to see more of him right along with you.
Sean is awesome at reviews, when is your guys dk symmetrical arbiter coming out?
This board is so sick ! Original can you do some tutorials for big stand up slides like motionboardshop ?
There's still snow on the ground over here, but we're hoping once the weather clears up we can do more stuff like this. Thanks for the feedback! -Lindsay
It's Baffle Time!
Will do tht for your help :)
Dope saffron bro I'm buying two
U guys should make it a double kicktail but keep the rocker and concave
Chris Le Sounds like fun to me. That gets tricky because the wheelwells are already putting a lot of stress on the wood to begin with. Volante
So I know what my next deck is gonna be :3
you are the only longboard company that i trust
and you are expencive...
expensive*
yes?
whatever
120bucks for a super good deck? NOT EXPENSIVE atleast the arbiter series and its awesome
+Miro N They're pretty pricey up in Canada Land but then again so are most things 😂 Original is a meh company anywho.
Crazy speeds at the beginning damn.. Unless speed up but seems legit ;)
Justin Knight nah man what fun would it be if it was sped up haha
Right?
so many boards to choose from. ugh, just need a good sliding/freeriding board that i would put callibers and vice wheels on.
how do you grip it so it has that stripe in the middle that says rdvx
Going to buy
Ashton Thomas Siiiick, you gotta let us know how you like that thing once you get some time to ride it!
The baffle is the best freeride board on the market
Ryan Gulley Thanks for the love! Glad you're enjoying it. #getbaffled
awesome board! i got this with the orange wheels! any led lights wheels u can recommend?
Mhong thrash rad. Haven't actually tried the new LED wheels but I do like what Sector 9 has been doing with their urethane lately, maybe take a look at the LED stuff they just released?
Hey Sean I was talking to u on ur website I was with lots of other kids in school
Like take the sector 9 lookout for instance will its wheels fit an arbiter 36 kt? Response plz
WHat are those wheels at 3:07 ? thank you :)
Robert Salmen i've never heard that joke before :/
Those are some cult but idk which one
Holy ballssss that trick at 26
would you guys recommend this bored to someone just getting into long boarding?
i live in an area with a lot of variety, would mostly do cruising but would like to be able to do more if i decided to. i weigh roughly 160 and im 5'8. would you suggest it? thanks to any replies!
Get the arbiter kt or dk.
Torn between LY Top Speed and the Baffle. I know they're different but any specs/personal experience is appreciated.
BeatMasterDrew You ever decide between these two boards Beat?

What concave settings do you have on the board and what's the difference???????????
Im a beginner coming from a rayne future killer, im 6'2 180lbs i want to start to learn standups? is this the board for me?
btw.. would 70mm wheels fit with a looser setup?

will this board ship all the way to sweden gothenburg and how much for shipping in that case please answer! :)
The sword \m/
Nice music choice
whats the best wheels and trucks for sliding?
For learning stand-up slides, which is the best board? The arbiter series or baffle?

I do Allot of sliding and freeride/some down hill and I don't know what board to get either the baffle or the arbiter kt
holden youens If you're looking at mostly doing freeride, the Arbiter KT is a great option. If you're looking at doing more downhill, go with the Baffle. Did you end up picking up a board?
i like crusing sliding and down hill witch board should i pick
Hmm, I think the Baffle 37 is a really killer option there Emil.
I have one and I personally learn all of my most technical stuff on that deck. Its SUPER easy to for spinning / rotating slides and I think the slide initiation that the wheelwell flairs give you is a huge help for new riders looking to slide. The other board I would take a look at, if you are going to do freestyle tricks here and there, would be the Arbiter KT. That said if its more about tricks, Apex DiamondDrop all the way.
Van you do a review About the globe maiden 37
Marcus Ravensbergen Hey Marcus,
These are actually a little different than most reviews in that the riders we ask to do them have a hand in the actual development of the boards.
Hmmm... Either this or the db lunch tray. Upgrading from my arbiter 36. Any suggestions?
Food4theBrain Take it with a grain of salt since, well, this isn't a totally unbiased review;
The LT has WAY steeper concave than the Baffle.
Songs: The Sword - Apocryphon
I have 50 cals on mine and 75mm oj's tht a my setup and I get tons of wheel bite should I just tighten my trucks?
Thats a pretty tall order just because 75mms are usually a more race oriented wheel if for no other reason than their weight. I have a set of 75mm x 60mm protos on my race deck (Maven 35) which has less clearance than the Baffle but I had to work with my bushing setup to run properly. You have the advantage with 50 Cals that they are pretty tall so that helps. Could look at some 85a / 90a Riptides for bushings and upgrade your ride while you are at it. Stock Caliber bushings are like 80a
got this yesterday, used it today, makes freeride waaaaaaaay easier
Unicorn Poohp yeeewww! Thanks for the support! Stoked you are enjoying it. #getbaffled Also - your user name is amazing.
Hey, I am wondering what the differences between the original vecter and the original baffle are.
Most people would say go with the apex 37 but i like to have a lot of stance close to the truck's and big wheelflares to lock my feet for slides.
will this board ship to sweden, gothemburg??
The wheel flares will allow you to lock in and initiate your first slides.
if you want to do long board tricks you'd need a kicktail tho.
Yea I actuslly got one at Christmas I got the arbiter kt it's nice
THE SWORD!!!!!!!!
This is perfect *o*
Im using this with Buzzed V3 Mega BeefCake trucks and 81a classic bigzigs, and its so damn heavy... is that just me?
What is the setup Sean has on this board?
RentedHD Totally, Volante has the blue silver white swag down thats for sure.
Stacked with blue calibers it's a thing of beauty, no doubt.
Hey There,
I saw on your website that if Iam going to buy a longboard that I can order an extra deck-only at a low price. how long will this action remain, because I want to go buy one but have only about 4 months enough money?
We have a new layout coming into the website, the deal will end when that goes in 2 weeks from now or so!
What do you guys think of the arbor backlash 37 is it a pick up or nah
it's an awesome board
What's the song you guys used ? I know it's the sword
This board looks awesome what is the price and where can I get it
Mystery129 The Baffle 37 deck comes in at $199. You can find the board on our website (www.originalskateboards.com/longboards/baffle-37-longboard-skateboard). Let us know if you need anymore help picking out the board or ordering it.
Longboards by Original Skateboards thanks for the info dude
Only problem it costs like $300 and I don't know if original skateboards thinks the whole world is Bill Gates, but money doesn't come that often.

Fernando Gomez original is quality stuff so it's normal to pay a bit more don't you think and i mean they have cheaper boards to
I have the baffle and its great for downhill and freeride, but i feel like its too heavy
Im very critic with the new boards, but this one seems to be my next board...
Sorry about the way Lancia,
Criticism is a good thing as far as we are concerned for sure.
We would be stoked to hear what you would do differently on those other boards.
That said, super happy you are into the Baffle! If you end up getting some time on it be sure to write back and let us know what you think.
Bought 44 calls for mine wheelbites like crazy. Any advice?
You would go to buy new harder bushings or you mist drive them in .
Can you ride the baffle w/ 50degs witgout getting any wobbles?
I have 50degs on mine and im stable at 40
you guys should make a tech slide board but poppy double kicks
their gonna make the arbiter dk
Sounds like a plan.
