After seeing the comment about vultures I thought you were talking about Kanye 😭. That Joanna newsom album is absolutely amazing though. So good, I love Emily
Advice for vinyl that doesn't Tell you which way to start: Scrapyard's outro (Texas Blue) is significantly longer than most of the tracklist, so you can tell by the distance between etches which one is the b side based on where the longest gap is. Doesn't work with everything, but for this specific example, hope this helps ❤️
RIP Steve Albini. Absolute hero. Such a shame he won't record another of Joanna's albums (unless, maybe, hopefully, they already had one finished together).
@@jimbob2427 Singer and guitarist of Shellac and Big Black, and producer, or rather recording engineer of many of my favourite albums. He recorded Joanna Newsom, Nirvana, The Breeders, The Pixies, The Jesus Lizard, The Stooges, PJ Harvey, Low, Nina Nastasia, Jason Molina, Will Oldham and thousands more. Beyond that, he was just a man I admired immensely. For his lived practical philosophy, his charitable work, his generosity, his intelligence, and much, much more. Joanna Newsom said the other day that "music stuff" doesn't even make the top 10 of reasons why he was her hero, and I feel the same way. He died suddenly just a couple of weeks ago.

When I was a poor kid in the 80s, my only entertainment in my room was an old record player and the discs my family didn’t want. Chipmunk Punk was one of my most listened to albums. Very surreal to see again.
The Talking Heads live in the video is a limited record store day release from April 20th of this year. I missed it myself, but I still have my copy of The Name of this band is The Talking Heads.
I wish the earlier Magnetic Fields records (pre-69 Love Songs) would get more recognition. Charm of the Highway Strip, Holiday, and The Wayward Bus are some of the best pop albums ever recorded.
Renaissance only had the two versions of the vinyls including the alternate version cover and the box set, cowboy carter had a weird album rollout with just a standard version with 3 different colors with the record missing a few songs from the full album but she has now released a standard box set version for cowboy carter
Vultures 1 vinyl is certainly a choice
Would definitely be the best record in his collection

I like your twisted point of view, Melon.
I grew up on so many of those songs as a kid lol (barely understood any of them at the time obviously)

I think we all know why Anthony got that renaissance one…
