hello overkill I tried doing this on my app but I doesn’t work for whatever reason I can’t set a shortcut for lizard mode I currently can’t use the app for any other games but I’m more interested in the ps remote play do u have any solutions for this. HH is active every other app is closed steam included (controls don’t work at all for the ps remote play)

As for PS Remote Play, Sony released an update that totally broke any and all third-party dual shock 4 emulator apps. I guess with their announcement of their new Remote Play handheld device we now know why. So, the best option for PS Remote Play on the Steam Deck is now Chiaki. The portion on how to set up port forwarding may differ depending on your router.
I have been told directly by a member of the dev team that it shouldn't cause any bans, but they couldn't guarantee it because of the changing nature of anticheat software. If getting banned is a major concern then the safest bet is to not use it with anticheat games. Having said that I have used it while playing COD and have not been banned.
Hey I was wondering if anyone could help with getting the remote play app to detect HC ps4 controller? Not sure how or why it’s not working. Overkill made it seemed like remote play just recognized the controller. So maybe my settings are wrong or I am missing an install. Please help!!
Oh I forgot to mention when I have Xbox 360 controller enabled, I can navigate the PS menu but unable to play games. With the PS4 controller I am unable to use the controller at all.
It did just recognize the controller automatically. There is currently an issue with PS Remote Play. Nothing to do with HC. Currently, no PS controller emulator is working with PS Remote Play. I am currently using Chiaki for Windows. It is actually better than the official app in regards to latency. Do you know how unmute the virtual controller? I can't get the dualshock 4 working and if I disable steam controller it says "You might want to unmute your virtual controller or unhide your physical controller"
There was an update to the Official PS Remote Play app that basically disabled any third party dual shock emulator software. Since then we have switched to Chiaki which actually works a lot better and can be configured to work remotely outside of your home network through port forwarding. I'm trying to ply BO2 on plutonium through windows on my deck, but I use HC all enabled and it doesn't work for me. I also added plutonium to steam and selected controller options but won't work either, any tips?
Thanks! Sometimes I found that when using handheld companion and steam together there will be conflict between the 2 since Steamdeck automatically recognize the steam controller as well. Do you have any tips on how to handle it and what’s the best way to use handheld companion in Steam’s big picture mode?
Basically, I would have a toggle button and disable HC when launching Steam Big Picture because it's not really necessary for Steam games, and also can result in double inputs. You can toggle it back on when playing games in other launchers.

If we don't use HC and just add other launcher's games to steam library, I believe steam's big picture mode will still allow us to use Gyro like on the steam OS on those added games? We just need to add the artworks to make those games and apps look good on the big screen mode
Is there a way to disable the left trackpad's haptic feedback? I have a shortcut where i can enable and disable lizard mode but it only disables the right trackpad and its haptic feedback but the left one still has haptic feedback on. Hoping for your help Edit: I use handheld companion as my only controller support for xbox games pass and non steam games.

He is there regularly providing support and answering questions about the app. As far as I know there are settings for haptic feedback strength. But I haven't played around with it extensively.
I'm also looking forward to this update. Personally I just hate pressing the joystick for stuff like running/sneaking. Have those on L4/R4. I guess A and B are great too for dodging/jumping without needing to take your hand away from the right joystick. I'm also looking forward to a future video explaining how you setup Gyro for regular first person games (non-steam and non-playstation)
The trackpads on the Steam Deck served as the touchpad for the PS controller. Unfortunately, Sony updated the PS Remote Play a month or two ago and Dual Shock emulation software no longer works. We have been using Chiaki as a replacement th-cam.com/video/HkX_AJZwGdk/w-d-xo.html

It's in the configuration for the trackpad. You can also customize a gear wheel for it too. Hard to explain. Hopefully, this TH-camr can show you.
