  • Anglers are terrible at sight fishing! These tricks make all the difference! Whether you're bed fishing or sight fishing on flats, how you position, dress, and behave has a huge impact before you even make a cast. These are the details that you need to know.
    Most anglers just go down the bank fishing without a care in the world and it shows in their overall catch rate. Those anglers that pay attention to details, to boat positioning, and to their lures, catch more and bigger bass.
    Below you'll find links to the baits and gear we use for sight fishing. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

The largest that got out of there is 8 lb to Oz jigging a lv500 then went to Florida and caught stripers on a drop shot and white chatterbait. I owe everything to you guys I can only say thank you. Glasses protecting your eyes cannot be overstated enough, and not only from UV rays but from freak accidents as well! I always fish with sunglasses, but one time I took them off because it was very dark and cloudy and I suck at actually catching fish lol. I finally got my first bite from a lake trout, and as I pulled it out of the water, the trout shook off the hook, and the jerkbait flew back at me and stuck to my shoulder. That could have been MUCH worse.

    I’m surprised more sunglass companies don’t make a style that’ll fit good over prescription glasses. Prescription polarized glasses are expensive and they have to be replaced when your eyesight changes.

    • @bobfishnut
      @bobfishnut ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree and think that they know how to hit us with medical needs. Someone posted there's a company name Zenni who produces polarized prescriptions at about $100 a pair. It might be something to consider.

      @@kandareefing7245 As far as I know, Cocoons are the only company that make them. You’d think more companies would jump on that. I wear clip ons now and they don’t compare to my good polarized glasses I’d wear with my contacts. I quit the contacts years ago. Tired of the hassle. I had to remove and clean mine daily because my eyes produce too much protein deposits. It was like sandpaper if I didn’t. Blood red eyes.

    Down here in NE Florida our lakes are shallow water compared to everywhere else in the country and almost all the grass and structure is in that 1-10ft range with usually at least 4ft of visibility so I bought a pair of the tactical sunglasses since we fish so shallow and they really do help you see deeper and clearer. I keep them in the case, in the boat, just for when I’m out fishing and I’ve got blue eyes and my eyes are really sensitive to sun light and the tactical shades keeps the strain off my eyes all day!! They’re the best sunglasses I’ve ever owned!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥

    Great video Tim!! I have a question: What is the absolute best most sensitive spinning rod for a weightless wacky rig? I miss a lot of slack line bites even though I’m watching the line sometimes I don’t see it move. It’s frustrating. Ideally, I’d like to be able to use the rod for other finesse techniques as well such as a shaky head, Ned rig, and a dropshot but I would be throwing the wacky rig the most. I know an expensive rod will not make me a better angler but I want to give myself every advantage possible when I do get the bite of a lifetime. Also, I always throw hi-vis braid to leader on my spinning setups but I still don’t always see the line move.

      I used to think the same thing about not feeling the bite and not seeing the line move. But if your using original senko, bass hold onto that thing a long time just let that senko fall eye peeled on the line lift Jently to keep line tight and you should be ok with like a xpride something in that range.

    • @MrPhoenix1800

      @vincentgelles3805 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m actually using a 7’1 medium Expride A (the older one) for the wacky rig now. It’s an awesome rod, super lightweight, cast’s really well. I think I’ll take your advice and save my money. I wasn’t really wanting to spend $500 or more on a spinning rod anyway. Especially if you don’t notice much difference between an Expride and a P5. Maybe I’ll upgrade sometime down the road. Thanks for the advice!

    The fishing industry seems to have largely ignored stealth. There are few options for camo clothing specifically tailored for fishing. Cloudy days, bluebird days, creeks and rivers with foliage as the background all require different camo patterns to break up a person's presence. But, fisherman spend money on solid yellows, solid reds, etc.
    I fish from a kayak, and I have a camo pattern on the kayak, but even Hobie sells a bright, solid red fishing kayak that is part of their high end Pro Angler line. Other suppliers sell solid orange colored fishing kayaks that cost thousands of dollars. Fisherman buy these products. It makes no sense to me.
