      I wanted to but, don't really know what to do, this machine is very impredictable, and a lot of time I find cool stuff they are more happy accident, which is then hard to make a video about... but I will tru to do more for sure !

      I have taken meticulous notes about knob positions and patching with audio recordings to prove the sound coming out of the device. Even if I dial in the positions exactly it always sounds different. I even bought larger knob coverings for more precise control.
      That said it's not a problem when turning the device off and on, it's just that the pitch and velocity of the sequencer affect the signal so much and without any quantisation it's impossible to dial in exactly the same sound.
      The takeaway is if you find a pattern you like *record it*.

    Really cool tips you got a nice kick going. 👍 Do you send CV from Ableton / VST to the DFAM? I was wondering what cool ways to do that. As I don't have Eurorack or amy other synth to send CV. Cheers

    • @audioreakt
      @audioreakt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks, it really depend the config I am using. It can be from ableton to dfam directly (you need a dc coupled audio interface for that, and use ableton cv clock out device), sometimes I have my Subharmonicon sync by midi to my sound card and then I use the clock out of the subH to sync the DFAM. I also have a torso T-1 that can send clock, or even my minibrute 2s... 😅 I am planning to invest in a multiclock soon so the answer will be faster haha

  • @jackSo42

    Interesting ! Can you have thé control in the pitch envelope playback speed ... to be able to control the "quantity" of mid compared to the sub?

    • @audioreakt
      @audioreakt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks , do you mean negatively ? You just have control over the decay of the pitch envelope

    • @jackSo42
      @jackSo42 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@audioreakt the reading speed of the pitch envelope is probably fixed to the tempo, on a quarter note. Can we slow down the reading speed? it would be an equivalent to the rate function on serum , if you want. To have a control on the high /mid part of the kick and the sub part of the kick .

  • @distortimus7631

    What would you recommend for my next drum machine? DFAM or Analog Rytm?

    • @audioreakt
      @audioreakt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you can afford the rytm, rytm then, especially if you work with Ableton, you have overbridge and seperate audio via USB, wider sound palette, sequencer etc... Dfam is cool because it's more hands on control, a structure different than classic synth which lead to different result so that's what make the dfam interesting...

    • @audioreakt
      @audioreakt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't remember but probably with Ableton. I have an old motu 828mk2 but still it got some dc coupled in/out, so I can use the Clock Out device from ableton to send clock to my DFAM. Moog got a tutorial on their channel to do that I think. No the SQ-1 is just for decoration here 😅
