@@talknheadz if the exhaust is slightly hot it will not change at all. Once the exhaust starts glowing, it means it is going to change its color. Titanium when slightly hot will be silver/grey after cooling, when it's even hotter it will be golden yellow color after cooling and if it is exposed to higher temperature it will become blue/purple after cooling. By the end of the video, you can see the colour has changed to a blue/purple shade. Extra: Titanium when hot oxidizes with the oxygen in the air and forms titanium oxide which causes the colour to change. If you want you could buff off the layer of titanium oxide and you would have the normal color of titanium again. It is like rust, it forms on the side exposed to air and could be removed. People use blowtorches or just redline the engine so that they get the exhaust hot to oxidize the titanium.
@@talknheadz personally I like the colour too. I mean it's a win-win, you get cooler looking exhaust that sounds better and is also lighter, can't go wrong with that. You're welcome
That is so cool! I had a full Titanium exhaust on my '08 KTM Super Duke R and I had the dyno tuner deliberately do the same thing to make the system turn purple/blue. It looked awesome when they were done.

Ask the engineers. They put engines into test facilities and run them hard for thousands of hours in development. I'm pretty sure it'll handle a dyno run.
other ways: Sit around with the throttle pinned off the limiter for a few minutes, usually during a burnout. Do a top speed run and hold the top speed for a couple minutes. Ride up an impossibly steep hill with the throttle pinned.

That’s wild! I don’t think I’ll ever hold mg throttle that long for it to turn that red though.
Actually, it's fine. The only reason why they are doing it so that the exhaust changes its color.
