As a Z800 owner, the sound of this video is 99% accurate, thumbs up for the amazing sound recording quality and how powerful Z800 is to have the ability to race with a 1000C.C….great work!
@@deni6386 hi, apologize for the late reply! There are several reasons why I bought Z800 instead of the Z1000, one of them were mentioned above, that I don’t need that much of HP. Also, in the place where I’m living right now, we have much narrower and shorter road than in the video, so owning bike like Z1000 will be a satisfying thing yet waste of all those extra HP.
Your videos are super underrated! The audio quality makes such a huge difference in the realism of the video. I have a GoPro 9 and a Zoom recorder, where are you mounting your mic?
Thats super appreciated dude. We really went out of our way to get good sound. Because thats the whole point of the video. And its so nice when someone actually acknowledges it. So we were also rocking a Zoom recorder. I made a custom housing so no scratching noise on the recorder with a self made deadcat, then I wrapped it in a towel and in a backpack. The housing I made might be an overkill. But just wrap the zoom in a towel when putting it in the backpack, it helps alot with all the harsh scratching noises a backpack makes while rubbing on the recorder. It also helped damp the sound abit because the bikes are extremely loud. If you are recording something that isnt THAT loud, maybe dont use a towel. But yeah. Backpack is way better. Under the seat kept on giving me rattling noises I didnt want. 😁
After owning a z800 for 5 years I moved up to the z1000 and I would say it’s easier to rider but it’s also going to lose me my license as the throttle is addictive
I also bought a Z800e second hand 6 months ago, allready did my stage 1 by BRPerformance and my quickshifter from healtech. lets say imma proud owner of a Kawasexyyy
Its actually funny you say that. Red and I had a run recently and we had the same conclusion. The z800 has got some serious legs to it. Granted in this video we weren't racing, it was purely to show the noise of the two machines. But when we do some serious pulls the z800 seriously keeps up with 1000. Of course eventually the z1000 will pull away. But you'd think to have a 200cc difference would make a huge difference....guess not😂 kawa did it right
@@zseries751 I was thinking for my next machine I wanted the new Z900 or a Z1 2014 and up but now I am seriously going to consider the 800. I don't need the fastest machine in the world or I would buy another Hayabusa, which is a boring bike to ride.
@@govnor1495 Also, the Z800 is big bike. Well, when compared to the z1k or the z900, the z800 feels just like an absolute weapon. Almost every single time we head out, people assume that the z800 is actually a 1000, and the z1000 is actually smaller. The seat height is really good, and it feels like you sitting on a solid machine. Dont get me wrong, the Z1000? An absolutely perfect machine, but when you consider the z800, there is almost no better bang for buck. You can roll with the 1000s all day comfortably. And its one of those bikes that does everything, very very well. I bought the z1000 because I wanted a 1000, I knew what I wanted. I have a 2007 Z1000 and was sadly dissapointed when zed dripoed the liter engine and made the 800 and lower displacements. ALTHOUGH I will say with new advancements in engine tech, they are making wayyyyy more power with smaller displacements daily. Just look at yamaha with the crossplane crankshafts. The 07 makes 135bhp, i dynoed mine w.o a tune and every dyno may be generous or a tad under and my bike made 126. How's it gents. Sonny here. Where about are you guys located? Would love to gain some experience in riding. I ride a 2015 ZX636R. Still under construction
I assume you are comparing the zseries bikes to other inline 4 motors from sports bikes. Yamaha R6 or whatever. These nakeds dont have such a high redlines. Peak torque is produced at much lower rpm and so the motors are built with lower redline than a normal screaming high reving inline 4. Just for example. A yamaha R6 redlines at 16 000 rpm. The z1000 only redlines 12500 rpm. But, peak torque on R6 is at 10 000rpm whereas peak torque for z1000 is at around 8000rpm. Same motor design, but the motors are made for different power delivery. The z800 has a little bit higher redline. Something like 14500rpm I believe. She's abit of a screamer.
It's all about self control. Many people start on big bikes. It has been done. You can probably too, but is not recommended. There's alot more to learn on smaller bikes that you just dont experience on big bikes.
