WHAT A LINE-UP!!
The Chiron Super Sport is BACK, and it’s going head-to-head against two incredible bikes - a Kawasaki H2R, and a Ducati Panigale SV2!
So let’s take a closer look at the contenders. Starting with the Bugatti, it’s equipped with an incredible 8-litre quad-turbo W16 that expels an eye-watering 1,600hp and 1,600Nm of torque! This power is sent to all four wheels, and it tips the scales at just under 2 tonnes. It’s also an ultra-rare car, with only 30 sets to be made, so it’s no surprise that it comes with a hefty price tag of £4,000,000!
Alongside it, we have the Kawasaki. It’s powered by a 4-cylinder 1-litre supercharged engine, and this can produce 310hp and 165Nm. Of course, it’s also a whole lot lighter than the supercar, coming in at 216kg!
Then finally we have the Ducati. It’s equipped with a 1.1-litre V4, and this can put down 216hp and 124Nm. So it’s the least powerful machine here, but it’s also the lightest, tipping the scales at just 195kg!
So how will this play out - could the ultra-light bikes sneak it? Or will it be yet another win for the world’s fastest-production car? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

Not gonna lie this is the first time I'm seeing a Bugatti pull so hard. Beating the H2R is no joke.
You are right the way it picks up speed is insane
It’s what a hypercar should be. When you see them in real life, I’ve seen them at GoodWood, they crawl down the track then floor it a bit and even though it’s only for say 3 seconds you can tell it’s fast and pulls hard by its pickup. But the Rimac Nevera is quicker.

To be fair, for the likes of buggati, beating the H2R is INDEED a joke. At least on the top speed. On the acceleration mabye the bikes have the edge, But even then, rge buggati has one of tge fastest accelerations of every car in the world
i mean it is the ss witch has more power,but beating a bike in a straight line acceleration is a tough thing to do, that bugatti is a beast

Done one myself by accident with a passenger on the back. Unexpected, and the wind hit me so hard i couldn't release the throttle cause i was trying to pull myself back up.
I thought i was going to kill us both - passenger thought it was super badass and i was in full control..

This is one of the BEST comparisions Ive seen on this channel (and there are many good ones). First of all, those two gentleman can ride, second holy Buggatti! I think this video really shows how fast these cars are. The H2R is an absolute machine and it couldn't really walk away from the Buggatti like mentioned in the comments below!! Wow!
well, the performance of the h2r depend a lot of the pilote, there're many videos with h2r vs bugatti that show a real gap between the two engine, the h2r is too violente and really hard to controle

People dont understand how much power a sports bike needs to have to be wheeling at 110-120 MPH.
And not because he is trying to pull a wheelie, but because the power is too much to keep it down. H2R is insane!

It's not always power, it could be aerodynamics or the length of the wheelbase. Even a 10hp scooter will wheelie at those speeds if you add the "right" type of aerodynamics. Now the wings to the side of the H2R are designed to keep that front down at high speeds but that engine (and the short wheelbase of the bike) overcomes everything (even though I believe the rider did this on purpose with the clutch - he was showing off a bit).

Aerodynamics are not very good on bikes, most people think they are because they are small, but that car does WAY better at higher speed

The Rimac Nevera is a bit faster and quicker. He’s raced that against a MotoGP bike that MotoGP bike absolutely stomped them.

I haven’t been on a sports bike in almost 20 years and I’m amazed at how far they’ve come.
Yup. Nowadays they feel like they’re running on rails. Glued to the road. You glance at the speedometer, and you’re like “holy heck, I’m in top gear, I’m doing 180, I feel like I’m doing 100, and I still have 5000 rpms left on the tach.” And that was just an old 2008 Hayabusa, that Kawi is a whole different level.
the horpower war for bikes kinda stopped like 5 years ago, now its more tech, to get faster laptimes. car on the other hand is on a horsepower war, the new regulations and emissions are making them heavier, hence the horsepower war starts. 5-7 years ago, no supercar/hypercar can fight a bike power to weight, but nowadays, even a 911 turbo S can keep up easily with a literbike.
to think about it a "normal" a45s is already pushing 400+hp, and the new norm for supercar is already at 700hp

Both bugatti and kawasaki are titans in race. Kawasaki is still in record of being the fastest bike even after 7 years. And bugatti chiron (though much heavier and less aerodynamical shape than h2r) was able to beat h2r in race. It easily tells the beast power of the engine chiron has.

The achilles heel of high-powered supersports is their wheelbase (when talking straight line speed at least). Keeping the back tire from spinning isn't the issue. Having enough power isn't the issue. Despite being the king of power, the Busa/ZX14s can still lay claim to quarter mile records due to their weight/length.
There's a video floating around of (iirc) a tuned H2 vs a ZX14 in a quarter mile and the H2 just keeps pulling the front at the top of each gear. Just bonkers amounts of power.
Seen that H2 on Isle of Man. Mind blown 🤯

The one of many things that I enjoy about this channel is how you guys don’t alienate the moto community, this is one of if not the only channels that will consistently pair a top of the line bike with a top of the line car on a weekly basis, and for that I commend you guys!😊
Well, I can say for sure that Carwow is not the only channel to include bikes in drag races. The OFFICIALLY GASSED channel does that all the time but, unlike this channel, they usually feature amateur riders.

4 wheels against 1 makes a huge difference. Id like to see the same bike with a wide swing arm accommodating a wide slick tyre probably need a longer frame mind you. its all about traction the Car is a beast but the contact patch compared to the bikes is at least 10 times the size

Super sport is no joke!!!according to bugatti it's engine can produce 1850 ps with 110 octane race fuel,and 1600 ps with 98 octane which perhaps this chiron has,so imagine what chiron ss can do with race fuel!!!

First time on Carwow there was a rider who actually was capable of handling the H2R, Great Race, and I think the h2r could have won the rolling race, but the Buggati is so fast too

bro I can't imagine that Ducati v4 speed at FULL power I want to :D (driven corvette 7l and 6.2.... against 5 bikes actually what a time....). Literally high end 1L bikes or other fast bikes, pull really hard especially beginning acceleration and the wind in ya face ( ya know what I mean ).. they usually can gap or at least lose off line THEN gap most cars ( again top end bike)

@@Big_AlMC Hagerty is amazing as well. But the issue I have is they always do their races on the super short straight of Big Willow (Willow Springs) which means the truly fast cars/bikes never have a chance to get up to speed because there's a sharp left turn at the end of their "drag strip".

The H2R is an older bike with older tech. MotoGP also has the latest tech with much faster-responding electronics.
People complain about nannies, but the reality is that the newer tech is actually very good at keeping the wheels from blowing off without completely ruining the fun. Or, in this case: keeping the bike from flipping at 100mph
Sticky race tyres, engine mapping & gearing changes, better aero, lighter, etc.. There's a world of difference in the machinery.
@@Angron131yep. Jorge Martin approved that with that holeshot device. He won 8 Sprint Races thanks to that device to easily nail the start regardless of how far back he is on qualifying.
I cannot wait to see that Bugatti (And hopefully the Valkyrie) in the Flesh in my home city of Perth. The owner is one extremely successful bloke and I'm so happy that he's putting Perth on the map regarding these extremely exclusive vehicles.

@wanderer54796 yeah but the brake test is meant to simulate an emergency stop, after the line. You don't gear down twice before you see an emergency in front of you in real life... Unless you're psychic.

Don’t get me wrong it’s obviously a missile in a straight line but it also weighs 2ton and doesn’t look very athletic.
For the money I could think of 10 other cars I’d prefer, and I worked for MB and AMG for the best part of 20 years so been around a lot of performance cars.

Lets take as much angles as possible that change positions and switch between them every 0,5 sec so that no one really can see the contestors gaining more or less distance than others.

the h2r can hit 400km/h. the bugatti is on 494km/h. there's no match in top speed

Right, and for the average experienced rider the V4 is a fun engine too. The H2R is too much of a handful for an everyday bike.

Really great rides again and again. But please start using a standing drone shot over the race track. That way you can see the whole race from an outstanding perspective and also how the race went. Like, if you like that too.
