1 How often does it backfires? 2 Is there any adverse effect on the engine, like the temperature and fuel consumption? 3 Is it necessary to do remapping/dyno? 4 Will it hurt the bike if you dont do remapping/dyno?
Just a suggestion for some people, but a reciprocating saw would give you a much more accurate cut and the blades are typically cheaper. Also, a lot of people own those compared to and angle grinder so more people to borrow it from for free.
In the beginning when you mentioned H6 and H4, that just means 4mm and 6mm hex. Pretty standard sizes. Also, everything on the bike is metric so it makes it easy when trying to figure out what tools you need. Thanks for the vid, keep up the great content.
I have a 2023 Z900 just like yours and wanted to know your thoughts on living with this mod. How mush did it effect the sound? Any droning or adverse effects?
I actually was thinking of doing an update video on this. I have tinnitus and this aggravates it when I ride longer periods so I wear earplugs on those rides. The sound is significantly deeper, louder, and I get more attention/approving comments when I meet up with other riders.
No the gaskets didn’t look crushed or anything (I personally think because the bike is newer). But if your bike is older or more broken in I would replace it or inspect closer for abnormalities
Hey man, I do appreciate the video. I want to delete mine also, but I wasn't going to if I couldn't put the heat shield back in place. That would simply cause climate racisms, and I couldn't have that. 👍
Did you have to connect your control unit and rework software for engine and fuel usage ? My mechanics saying it’s necessary to do it after decat upgrade … its another 400€ for software work
ECU tune is just throwing your money out the window unless you need to get good numbers racing.. street racing most of the time you won't even feel the difference.. however some bikes do get Big gains...
@@MaximilianKlotz This is a difficult thing to explain to those that don't understand that header size not changing and keeping the cat intact means that no ECU flash is necessary. It will be louder by a bit and deeper in sound but no flow difference to demand a new flash. I second your response there is no reflash needed here!
@@MaximilianKlotzyes you have to, your bike is working as it has catalyzator/breadbox … it means less power and different serving of gas …. If you change headers or do decat, you are tuning physically and you have to tune by software … otherwise you asking for malfunction

Black widow exhausts from the Uk makes 2 different headers for this bike to delete the box, just a heads up!

Had to burn through about 3 to 4 Harbor frieght grind wheels😂 but man the noise and weight reduction is amazing!
Are you disappointed in the loss of low end like me?
Good job! Now it sounds pretty 👍

So now you just need a new tune :)
Fingers crossed this year big dog! I need a final exhaust set up before I commit
Any exhaust leaks after installing the midpipe? I removed the breadbox and added a midpipe but there is leak.
Did you remove all the catalyst stuff that was still left in the headers
Hi bro, can i know we did you get that mid-pipe? I have been searching and only found for Z9 previous model. Thank you
Hi. I did the breadbox delete. But on cold start it always leak a little gasoline from the middle link pipe. Have you ever experienced it?
Not at all, are you sure it’s gas? It could be water from condensation. Gas doesn’t normally come out of exhaust

Hey man do you have an instagram or something where I can DM you?
Still interesting any updates?
Sounds amazing! Do you have the link so I can order it? Most of the link pipes are for the 2019 and older model
Hey man did you end up replacing the exhaust gaskets at the headers?

@@Questionable_Riding thanks for the response brotherrr. I have a 2023 but I ended up just not dropping the exhaust for this 😅.
Did you have a get it returned??
Hello, where can I find the middle pipe for the 2024 model Z900?
Ali express or ebay
2020 and newer share the same pipe
Hey bro, if we delete breadbox… ECU Needs to be tuned? Comfused about back pressure,
No to my knowledge that back pressure doesn’t happen because the cat is still in if you take that out then you’d need a flash
Nope. Only when you remove cat converter or install custom racing headers
you forgot to mention if you are happy with the sound
100% I would do this again
The link isn't working anymore, do you still have it somewhere?
I hunted down the last link on amazon and put it in the description as alternate, good luck bro they're buying all the pipes.
I got a 2023 z900 as well but my headers look different than yours.
same here 23 abit big bro
What size is the mid link pipe?
Ciaoooo puoi rimandare link dove hai acquistato la modifica padellino.grazie😊
Cat converter is present or removed???
I left in the Cat I just showed it so you guys knew where it was, good question!
Hi bro ,
I have z900 2022 .this middl pipe it can be work for z900 2022 ?
2017-2019 models as 2020-2042 have their respective pipe since they are different
product link does not work.

Anyone know if this mid-pipe fits on the 23’s ?
Yeah I know🖐️, my bike is a 23’ it fits
Not in mine... Mine is 800mm and the pipe is 740mm. z900 2023
May with adaptive
R you can use it

You're over paying. An ECU tune shouldn't cost you over $299
@@GuitarGuy650 I was suprised that it even cost so much, even 300 dollars seems to much ...

i bought bread box delete in aliexpress for mi 2022 Z900 and the pipe was 740mm but the pipe in the bike is 800mm so doesnt fit
Hola, a mi me paso lo mismo.. y no encuentro ninguno en Ali-Express de 80mm.
Tune up ECU and chase the limit

If i only delete the bread box, i need to re-map the z900?
I have same question as you. I ordered the mid pipe on ebay but not sure you have to re-map it. No one really talks about it.
@@infojn-um8jm i dont know

he clearly said no lol
Nice way to ruir the performance of the bike
I dont this and then welded the stock one back on till i can get a full system with tune
How so? Less resistance created in the exhaust. Should be more efficent and better flowing. If anything I'd think he'd gain 1 or 2 horses.
