Yay! Sorry I'm late 🙈🙈🙈 Have been so busy! Great experimenting Michelle! You have the perfect style lamp for this technique, cut the shape and place it in your mold instead, on top of the fresh resin 🥰. Loved the pieces 🤩 Thanks so much for the kind mentions and tag 🥰❤
Hi Michelle love your resin experiment.💕 I was too inspired by Daniel Cooper and experimented. I tried it with UV resin on parchment paper and with epoxy on mold to get a shiny surface on one side. I used mica powder and gold flakes. I made keychain in molds. I cut the resin paper to size, placed it in the mold and topped it with UV resin. I loved the technique. I made 2 videos surely going to try more as I have a decent size sheet which I didn't use.
I didn't get to read all the comments, but here it is. 😊 I tried this, and it seems the clearer the paper you make it on the clearer it comes out. Stuff like plastic works best for me. Having too much fun with this. Thanks to whoever thought of this technique. Love your work. Good stuff!!🎉❤
Today he made one that looks so much like my birthstone, opal. It was gorgeous 😍. I think that UV from Istoyo is their "glue" resin, hence "bonding". It's intended to be used to attach things. As in the paper to the cabachon. Being lw viscosity helps it spread thinly between items and avoid bubbles. ❤
Love the opal one michelle. Thanks for sharing. I agree, you should watch The One Daniel do today? I've been wanting to try this. But I haven't gotten no chance to. Can't wait to thanks again for sharing.❤❤❤
Gotta love Daniel Cooper! The ones that came out were truly lovely. I wonder if you could use the resin paper in larger molds in combination with regular resin? That might be an interesting experiment.
I think the reason Daniel used a squegee was because he used glitter with only a drop of uv resin. His was pretty thick. Thanks for trialing these. The unicorn turned out gorgeous 😍
Wow who would have thunk it, Resin paper, so cool. Thank you for sharing because I have so many people thati watch everyday and can't watch everyone's different channels.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Michelle, i love the round blue ones, but my favorite it the oval one done with the chunky glitter. I think they seem to have worked the best. Have a blessed weekend.😊❤
You could try white spray paint to eliminate brushstrokes. I also think Daniel held the shape down and used a uv flashlight for 30 seconds to eliminate bubbles then finished curing in the double light. Also Let's resin has a new double sided light with 2 plugs that work individually or magnet together. Same size as the blue light but the new one is lavender.
Daniel brought out another video on this subject last night and explains more. The tool he uses is the same as yours but he cut it to take off the curved edge and using it takes away the holes you had. Oh and michelle he used chunky glitters this time lol
So funny! I just watched his video and got all my stuff out, then you come on! 😂😅 Okay, I'm going to finish watching, then I'll give it a go ❤Thank you!😊 Watch his video he did today. He made opals. So beautiful 😍
Yeah!!! You got the silver/gold pens!!! I “LOVE” them!!! They are like liquid gold/silver!!! I’m a few days behind… (not like me with your videos!) I promise to catch up! And yes! I’ll make arrangements to come over soon… thinking of a cool project for us! 💙🩵
You should go watch his video that he posted today he used very chunky glitter and made papers it was cool 😎 I think the one you made with glitter was the best one looks like an Opal
Michelle, can you try swirling just the neons in black? Or ask Into resin if there's a certain way to use them? They don't look any different than all the other colors like those.
I love your tutorials, it is worth mentioning that Artful Elements was doing this 6 years ago, calling them Resin Sheets... It is worth looking at for more possibilities. I have no affliliation.
There are little tacky clay stickers you can place the cabochons so that they are level and firm while you paint the back and then place it in your lamp .I saw that on a video that I think is Korean that makes jewelry out of resin and nail color when you have the time check that out as well. Great ideas on how to cleanly and easily do jewelry and I am with you when it comes to Daniel he is absolutely amazing and has an incredible brilliant mind inventing techniques and of course I love your channel as well because I was just wondering about using black nail gel. Thank you so much.❤❤❤
Hey sweetie Daniel used nail powders on his and he made them really bright and he cured on both sides 1 minute on each side. Don’t know if this helps you. All my thoughts are with you.
You have a fine mica that cures like liquid silver. That might make a nice backing sheet. Also, maybe try one with a little more concentration of mica. I think they all turrned out well however, maybe not as glitzy as your style? 🤫👍
Nice experiments. I have found that i can kind of test backing colors by laying pieces on colored cardstock or vinyl before i back coat. It's not perfect, but you can rule out some colors without losing the whole piece. ❤
Very informative. The one that you backed in blue paint looks like a gemstone called kyanite. Of course, the camera often doesn’t show us everything you see.
I haven't watched the video yet as it is midnight here in the UK but I think you may have pre-empted Dan's new opal video by doing what comes naturally and making one from glitter 😂 I love the ones backed in black, they're like the galaxy pendants he does (plus I'm a goth girly at heart so black will always be my choice 😂) - they looked stunning. Oooh, I wonder what those marabu alcohol inks would look like as a paper? Those rainbow and colour shift ones? I bet with dark colours behind them they would look absolutely stunning!
Even the tiny scraps can be used to make design. The cat if you add a face etc it will help! Added charms on the outside of the so called failed projects you can use! Good luck
The Istoyo powder is beautiful but way to overpriced for what you get I won't waste my money again on it. Mr. Copper is a genius And you always have fun ideas
I liked the glitter one the most. I think 1st one you made may have worked out better if you did not mix before pressing. A thought... could a black paper be made, then used on the back tovavoid brush marks.
Hi! I made one glitter paper using the crystal powder but haven't decided how I am going to use it yet. They are so easy to make, maybe not as easy to find the perfect use?
It's nice but why do a resin paper just mix in resin. It seems to pop more than just on resin paper. Nice idea though. Question do you like the Istoyo or let's resin lamp better. I got the original let's resin double sided lamp but not a fan. Can you use both sides independently on the istoyo?
I just received the new let’s resin dual uv light and I love it. It’s stronger than the Istoyo one and has a dual cord so you can use them both individually independently.
As I see it, the advantage to this method is that you could make a bunch up and have it on hand to use on whatever project that you are working on. It would save you having to get all the colors out each time you wanted to use them.
Dont want to sound negative, but I don't see the point of the "resin paper". You can achieve the same effect by just mixing glitters or powders with resin and coating the backs of the cabs. This paper is just a technique that causes more work in the clean-up process, IMO.
It's not negative, it's an opinion 🥰. The technique is as useful as you want to make it, it has huge potential for very unique ways of working with resin. For instance, you can make the paper slightly thicker and cut into shapes and bond them together to make 3D jewelry, I will have a vid coming of this. It is also great if you make a glitter paper, it can be cut whenever you need it and it will float on fresh epoxy, eliminating the need to wait for layers to cure. Honestly, there is a lot of potential there 😁

Daniel just did this using mylar flakes and made a real looking opal he also makes it like a thick paste before spreading 😊
Daniel Cooper always has some great out of the box ideas, I think the glitter pendant is the prettiest and the others are really good too.
I love Daniel's experiments. I'm going to try this as soon as I get a moment 😆. This was fun to watch 😊.
✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
Gotta love Daniel Coopers experiments. Love the glitter paper, it really shines in the cabachon
Hi Michelle love your resin experiment.💕

Daniel is definitely a resin GENIUS!! I have no idea how he comes up with all his tips and tricks!! 😂
Right?!

Daniel Cooper is awesome he comes up with the best ideas Michelle yours came out Gorgeous I really love the blue one awesome job
Daniel put out a new video today doing this. He cuts it out first. Those 3 turned out nice. ❤
Love the opal one michelle. Thanks for sharing. I agree, you should watch The One Daniel do today? I've been wanting to try this. But I haven't gotten no chance to. Can't wait to thanks again for sharing.❤❤❤
The glitter paper is gorgeous. I really liked the cat head. It would make a cute magnet
That one is awesome. The pretty blue with black on the back.
Viewing from the caribbean daniel cooper rock michelle love the pendants are beautiful daniel would be proud
Thanks for sharing your version of the resin paper. I love this idea of Daniels. ❤
Gotta love Daniel Cooper! The ones that came out were truly lovely. I wonder if you could use the resin paper in larger molds in combination with regular resin? That might be an interesting experiment.
I don’t see why not!
I love how gutsy you are to try new things. We can't become experts at anything if we don't try.
I love the glitter paper one the best…❤
Really appreciate all the effort you’ve gone to try different methods 😊 I’ve been wanting to give this a go! 🇬🇧❤️
I enjoy watching your videos 😄. Thanks 👍
I think the reason Daniel used a squegee was because he used glitter with only a drop of uv resin. His was pretty thick. Thanks for trialing these. The unicorn turned out gorgeous 😍

Love your resin papers and what you did with them! ❤
I don't hate any of them, but the glitter one is my favorite, of course! 😄
Great tries Michelle good on you
YOU SHOULD TRY HIS MYLAR FLAKES OPAL SHEETS
Hi Michelle, i love the round blue ones, but my favorite it the oval one done with the chunky glitter. I think they seem to have worked the best. Have a blessed weekend.😊❤
Don't forget to save your wrap pieces to use in other projects. You may have mentioned this but I am just now watching!
You could try white spray paint to eliminate brushstrokes. I just received the new light!! I love it!
Super cute and original💎
Love the glitter one.
Loved the glitter one

Yes I cut the curve off too to make it flat.
I can't wait to make my own papers. It's such a brilliant idea.😊❤
Thanks for sharing this technique 😊
Hi Michelle, nifty idea. They are pretty. Have a good day.
So funny! I just watched his video and got all my stuff out, then you come on! 😂😅
Okay, I'm going to finish watching, then I'll give it a go ❤Thank you!😊
Watch his video he did today. He made opals. So beautiful 😍
Love playing with the resin paper it's alot of fun.
Thanks Michelle interesting video ❤

I was wondering where you were sis!
You should go watch his video that he posted today he used very chunky glitter and made papers it was cool 😎 I think the one you made with glitter was the best one looks like an Opal
Love it ❤ I believe he made it into a paste then flatten. So maybe it wasn’t thick enough to bring out the colors?
If have to re watch 🤔
definitely gotta try this soon!!!
For painting the back of the cabochons you could use a flat stick like a popsicle stick with a bit of poster tack or clay on it.
I liked the white one. It may look different in person but nice.
I would finely cut into odd shapes and use in a clear uv resin and back with black for an opal type appearance
Michelle, can you try swirling just the neons in black? Or ask Into resin if there's a certain way to use them? They don't look any different than all the other colors like those.
Yes I’ll try to remember
Michelle try putting a small piece of clay on a skewer stick then pick up you piece them paint your nail gel on.
He also just did one with mylar flakes
I loved the blue one you said was a fail. the brush strokes made it look like it was striations
Kinda like the acrylic paint skins 😊
Pretty much!
I love your tutorials, it is worth mentioning that Artful Elements was doing this 6 years ago, calling them Resin Sheets... It is worth looking at for more possibilities. I have no affliliation.

I saw someone do it the other day with acetate and it made the "paper" shiny! Really cool.
Oh wow!!
Really shocked you didn't get the new Let's Resin UV Light!! Since you're such a Let's Resin fan. 😊
I got it! Just received it 😁😁
Michelle, Daniel spread the mix thinner. Maybe the darker colors show better. ❤
I tried Daniels resin paper, and I made some nice jewelry pieces.
Hey sweetie Daniel used nail powders on his and he made them really bright and he cured on both sides 1 minute on each side. Don’t know if this helps you. All my thoughts are with you.
Try making the paper with mylar flakes. You love those opal colors. Great try. You never really know til you try. I love the round, blue one!❤❤
Great idea!!
Hi, I found the Korean channel that does the beautiful jewelry it is Keri art channel. She’s definitely on another level. ENJOY ♥️
I will check it out
He used opal flakes today. Looks like an opal.
Love his experiments. Bought everything I didn’t already have for this but I’ve been too afraid to try
Why! What’s the worst that can happen 🤷♀️
I also stick all my things into blutak to hold them if I have to do anything fiddly lol, the mishap got an instant sub ❤
Thanks for the sub! Welcome aboard!
#1 in here Again. Your neighbor from across the state
Wow! 😁😁

Great tip!
When i tried making it i did mine too close to the folded edge lesson learned for me i now use 2 sheets of paper so no fold ,love your colours
I have to try this

Oh I bet they’d be pretty 😍
actually tried this and it seems to be kinda important on the choice of colors/types of coloring used
I’m seeing that as well!
Even the tiny scraps can be used to make design. The cat if you add a face etc it will help! Added charms on the outside of the so called failed projects you can use! Good luck
🥰
The Istoyo powder is beautiful but way to overpriced for what you get I won't waste my money again on it.
Mr. Copper is a genius
And you always have fun ideas
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The tool is available on Temu different colors.
I do it in between two clear acrylic plates, it seems to cure better in the machines and is super flat lol
Michelle which uv lamp would you recommend if you only could buy one?
Let’s Resin new dual light
You need to spread it much thinner so it's more like paper, plus it helps so you don't get bubbles. You should your tool. ❤
It was extremely thin
I liked the glitter one the most. I think 1st one you made may have worked out better if you did not mix before pressing. A thought... could a black paper be made, then used on the back tovavoid brush marks.
It’s so hard to get black to cure under the uv light otherwise that’s a great idea!
I learned something new...glad you did the paper resin....can you use all the same materials you use in regular resins to color UV resin
Yes but in uv resin they can’t be as opaque
@glitznglitterbymichelle1 thank you
Hi! I made one glitter paper using the crystal powder but haven't decided how I am going to use it yet. They are so easy to make, maybe not as easy to find the perfect use?
💜👍💜👍💜
❤👍🏻🙌🏻👌🏻

I found that pink silicone tool on Amazon.
They have them at dollar tree too
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 I’ll have to check that out!! Thank you!!
Can you try some with glitter
My last one was but I might try again
I think glitter works the best for the resin paper, but that's just my opinion.
I think you’re right!
I don't get it Michelle...what's the difference between the paper and just mixing the colors together and applying directly on the cabojon?
As I see it, the advantage to this method is that you could make a bunch up and have it on hand to use on whatever project that you are working on. It would save you having to get all the colors out each time you wanted to use them.
I’m not sure the advantage but I was just trying out his technique
I made some and it was thin but it was so hard i could cut it .
Really!! Wow!
Oh yes he used parchment paper.
