Hi all, feeling pretty rubbish, at least I managed to get this filmed today, gonna rest up and will catch up with comments tomorrow. Don't forget to drop a comment and thumbs 🥰♥️x
There's definitely a bug going round, I had a sore throat a number of weeks back and my voice is still suddenly giving up on me. Great video Dan, grand idea ❤
Good idea! I use soft for some of my bookmarks, half and half sounds like a great idea since is is hard to find the soft. I need flexible to make a good sized piece for a candle frame I want to try.
I've been doing this for years. I like to use transparent silicone mats. The really thin ones. They are usually shiney on one side and Matt on the other. If you want a slim strip to disappear into a casting make it shiny on both sides. I make sheer swirls of smokey color and then coil them into a mold to get a streaky smoke whisp effect that doesn't move and dissolve as it cures.
Cut these in long, very narrow triangles, start at the long end and roll around a skewer to create a paper bead. Brush resin on the finished bead and place under UV light. Makes amazing, glass looking beads.
@@shirleydebruyn you'll be able to easily tell wax paper, if you scratch it with your fingernail or something similar, actual wax will scrape off.. parchment paper is almost only sold for baking, might be called baking paper. Low end parchment paper is kind of translucent and no shine, higher end parchment might be shiny like wax paper. But you can most definitely scratch wax off of wax paper. It's usually always labeled, "wax paper", not baking paper etc... i hope this helps!
Wax paper does not work, you are right…just tried it. A better solution is the silicone mats… you just spread it around with a silicone spatula and cure it.😊
You just gave me the most genius idea EVER & saved me an absolute fortune. I just got into airbrushing & texture stencils can cost a ton of cash. I only use water based paints so a thin resin would make the perfect textures stencils & totally random which is desirable. You Sir are a legend.
I will try it. When I was in Art college I used to soak bits of magazine pictures and loved the random effect. So what I am planning on doing is my above technique and when the paper has dried, pva it to a plant pot and resin it in sections just in the sun. Actually if it works ok I will try doing it for like pendants. I did UV trinket trays the other day just sitting in the sun. Came out a treat. I am in Costa de Belfast. While the weather is ummm reasonable, I am going to sit outside and do stuff. I have the creatives ya know! Like who else makes a coaster outta their pet rats poops. HEEEEE! I am a nut and proud, heeeee.
Oh my gosh I have been looking for a way to make a thin resin lamp shade and I'm totally going to try this way. Thanks for the inspiration ❤ that neon heart is amazing
OMG! I seen the first video on paper resin and have ran with it the results are out of this world! Thank you for all you continue to do for us resiners . Rest up and feel better soon.
I'm sorry to hear you are under the weather. I hope you feel better soon. The resin paper is epic. I love it, especially the coloured. I'm not a lover of neon, but that 1st coloured one and the one you did in todays video is beautiful. I'm thinking now 😂 thanks Daniel as always ❤
Hope you feel better soon. After your previous resin paper video, I did it between a pieces of plastic and my silicone mat and got a perfect see-through piece. Thinking of painting chameleon powder on my silicone and then doing it again.
The paper you made screams sunset sky to me! Loved it!! Cant wait to see what you do next with this! I have some ideas and plan to make my own paper soon! I think this can be very useful for a multitude of things!
Daniel bless you and Mrs. Cooper wish you a speedy recovery. Take some ginger lemon tea or it will help you. This paper technique is the next level. This will be a saviour with the left over resin.
Daniel, i am always ready for your videos. Positive/healing vibes sent for all with special ones sent for You and your wife. Hope you feel better very soon. 💙💙💙
I, too, have been hit by a cold and feel rubbish, so I feel your pain, Dan! I hope you feel better soon. Rest up, and hopefully, you and Mrs Cooper will be better soon.
Hi Daniel. I love your channel. I took your paper resin idea and used soft type up resin instead of hard. It’s more pliable that way. I’m going to try quilling with it. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Two things... 1. I hope you feel better soon and 2... Have you tried writing on or drawing pictures on this before adding it to your pieces? I apologize if I missed a video where you did. I only just thought this would, like you said, have endless possibilities!!! I can't stop my brain now!!! Thank you so much for all the cool ideas, Daniel!!!!!😊
Nice! What a hack, this is one of the most valuable resin videos I've "stumbled" across... Wowza. Can't thank ya enough. Havent seen your content prior to this, but you've got a new sub right here. Light + Love!
Very sorry you're under the weather, Dan! Geniuses (& their families) should never get sick. Should be a law against that, or something... 😁 These are SO gorgeous! 😲💕😘I'd forgotten about that bonding technique! LOVE the neon (of course), but love the nail powders, too. So very beautiful!😍
Hope you and your family feel better soon Dan. Ooh the possibilities of this resin paper, i'm going to try it in epoxy in coasters. Thank goodness for your amazing creative mind 😊❤
Very cool in the end, lots of uses, especially in jewelry, thanks for sharing! I want to mention 2 things that I felt that you should’ve said to your viewers as a warning…the first is that you must use parchment paper, not wax paper, they’re very different and you don’t want the wax residue contaminating your projects or destroying lustre, etc! The second is that you should only add a percentage maximum of any product into you resin or it will not set properly, especially with micas and paints…I believe it’s a maximum of 10-15% of the amount of resin used. I like to warn people before they find out the hard way because resin is so expensive 😅✌️
If you cut out little shapes and attached rings and different length chains to an ear piece, they'd make fab dangly earrings as the are. Can't wait to try this. Get well soon Dan and family. Xx
I watched this video while I was drinking my coffee before work today. I could not wait until I got home to try this technique. I ran home and headed straight to my craft room to try this. To save a little time, I used some colored UV resin. And it WORKED!!!! IT REALLY WORKS!! I was so excited!! Thank you Daniel
Once again... GENIUS! After your first video making resin paper I wondered about coloring it and then what could it be used for! Mr Cooper nailed it once again! Feel better Dan and I hope that your family gets all better soon as well! 💕 💕 💕
You are totally amazing. I been watching your videos for a while and decided to go back to the first one and watch every video you had made so far. Thanks for the inspiration and ideals you have given, Looking forward to the next video. Bye for now.
Such a fantastic new technique the resin paper the possibilities are endless with this, you really have a amazing brain but a great personality aswell ,thankyou for sharing
Fantastic Daniel I truly hope you and Mrs Walker feel better soon, prayers sent 🙏 ❤️ love your mind. The pendant looked great 3d effect like sand under water, you always deliver for us Daniel, but take care of your health first. You give so much free to us and I am so grateful for that. ❤
Daniel you are a resin genius, but we all know that already, you are so gifted in your work. Im sorry to hear that you and your family are not feeling well, I hope that you and your family are doing better, but stay resting until you're all better, we will wait patiently for your return. HUGS FOR ALL ❤❤❤
I am a recent subscriber, and I LOVE your sense of joy in experimentation, you are right up my alley. The paper you are using to make your resin papers is baker’s parchment. I suspect the waxed paper might not work as well. If you spread the resin too thick, and it breaks, try using a hole punch, or just breaking it into small pieces to make a sort of confetti you can suspend within your resin in the mold for a cool look.🖤🇨🇦 Edit: You could use the resin paper to delineated openings on a Tiffany style lamp shade, using a metallic to outline the chambers, then coat all with clear…that would be a stunner.🖤🇨🇦
I was inspired to try this, as I also do cricut craft I thought could my machine cut the resin paper so gave it a go. I cut on paper 90gms setting on defult cut I did take about 4-5 passes some bits cut fine but others didn't so will play with pressure or material settings next time. Another game changer!
Hope that you all get better soon Daniel! I now have to go back to the store and get parchment and wax paper to ensure that I have the right one to do this....LOL....thanks Daniel🤣 -Beverly
So cool. I am also a 3D paper crafter and that would be brilliant to put behind an opening for a battery tea light lantern. Or for windows in a small fairy house. So many amazing ideas. Thank you for sharing ❤
I kinda did this awhile ago...but a bit thicker. I poured onto parchment paper, clipped it into shape, then rolled it into a peace lily flower. I also made some leaves for later use. Great work Daniel

I certainly wish you a speedy recovery. Thank you for the video. I love the idea❤❤❤
Put your feet up keep warm and thanks for today's vid even though you felt rubbish ❤
Please feel better soon!!
There's definitely a bug going round, I had a sore throat a number of weeks back and my voice is still suddenly giving up on me. Great video Dan, grand idea ❤
If you get some "soft" uv resin and mix it 50/50 with the hard type, it will stay flexible.
Good idea! I use soft for some of my bookmarks, half and half sounds like a great idea since is is hard to find the soft. I need flexible to make a good sized piece for a candle frame I want to try.

I was thinking about using ziplock bags, would that work well too?
@@mixedmediaartgirl300 it should be fine.
Love this video and all the possibilities Daniel!! ❤❤❤ How exciting!
I'm not even 20 seconds in and I'm sold
I don’t know how I missed this video. Well done! 🤗❤️🤗
This "paper " would work wonders in the pendant that you added the light. Like stain glass. Just easier. Hope you get better quickly. Great video.
I wonder about any fire hazard risk that can add
This is so cool
- imagine if you could recreate abalone shell veneer with this technique!
Gob smacked! I do card making and can see cutting flowers and stuff out with metal dies! Endless possibilities! Hope you and yours feel better soon!
i've just said exactly that 😂 with all the stuff I have, I could have lots of fun
@@evelynbrown5312 crafting is an addiction not a hobby! 😂

You are the jedi master of resin
Wow Daniel I made the resin sheets to make the opal !! Life will be so much easier I am putting them behind glass cabochons.
Cut these in long, very narrow triangles, start at the long end and roll around a skewer to create a paper bead. Brush resin on the finished bead and place under UV light. Makes amazing, glass looking beads.
GORGEOUS!!!!!! Side note: Wax paper and Parchment paper are Wildly Different! Parchment paper only
What is parchment paper please?

you might want to try what someone suggested using half and half soft UV and hard UV resins to make it more flexible
It's absolutely brilliant. We should call this the Daniel Cooper method! 🎉
