🤣🤣 when you put the colors directly on the glass cabicions, you forgot to put the white crackle paint on it. Probably why it didn't work 😂😂 I will add, I am a huge fan and thank you!
Directly on the glass needed to be backwards or all you would see is the white. I did it on the very first one off camera this way and it worked, weird how it wouldn't do it again.
It's very easy to make your own paint skins. I blend equal amounts of acrylic paint, basic white glue, and then add just enough water to get it to a thick consistency. I then pour each color into the same cup (a "dirty pour") gently spread the paint over a glossy piece of plastic. I didn't explain that well, but it does work.
The paint skins are made from whatever drips off the acrylic pour paintings. They just leave it on their silicone mat they use as a drop cloth...until it dries...then they peal it off!! I watch a lot of those videos too!! 😂
@@angelfromhellshawna mostly that's how we do it because it's a way to use up all of/not waste any paint but you can also create the skins on the resin mat if you want to create a specific design. The drips/run-off can be gorgeous but you can also get a lot of mud and bits that aren't so pretty because you are concentrating on the canvas or whatever you're pouring on to. 😊
I like the brush marks; they make it look more like a stone. The paint skins are cool! They all turned out very cool! TFS! Blessings to you my friend. Have a blessed week. ✝🙏🏼💕
I have been doing these for quite a while as I started doing pour painting prior to resin. You can use the E6000 to attach the paint to the cabochon which is easier to clean up. Also use small scissors to trim the edges.❤
I do both resin and acrylic pouring. One thing that you can try is to pour your extra resin onto parchment paper and make your own "skins" or even onto sealed canvas, and make some RAD paintings.
I received my goodie box, thank you so much. On another note, I bought those jewelry pieces, but I didn't care for the glass piece. With the owl, I put colored UV resin in the eyes also and it gave it a different look. With the butterfly I let it rest between two popsicle sticks, it could lay flat under the UV light. I used colored UV resin in all my jewelry pieces and rounded it off.
Your jewelry came out very nice. I have that set of bezels and cabachons and I love them. I make my own paint skins and have been going to town making jewelry. I use glue to attach my skins to the cabachons and then 24 hours later I glue them to the bezel with E6000. I love the brush strokes on the crackle effect
What a fun video!!! I love pulling these out on days I like to “play”. Also it’s fun to add little rhinestones or little beads to the eyes (owl/dragonfly… as an example) 💙💜🩵
I want to make my own paint skins when I get home now! I'm back in the hospital. After 9 months in last time, I got home and acted 1 month. i ended up rebreaking my leg. Hopefully, this stay won't be as long, and I can get back to resin! Great video Michelle. Thanks!
Those are fabulous! I would probably have done the glitter butterfly in one step, as the glitter is already in resin, you should just be able to spread that out, and then add the glass cab to the top of the sandwich and cure it all together.
Beautiful pieces, I like the brush strokes. ❤ tip for your paper, your mix isn't thick enough, less resin or more glitter, it should have the consistency of porridge or wallpaper paste 😆
Michelle, when you did the glitter one you can skip a step, once you mix up the resin and glitter instead of curing, then adding resin, then curing you can just put the glass cabochon straight onto the wet glitter mix, then put it under the lamp.
Resin doesn’t adhere to glass so all those cabachons will eventually fall off I found this out the hard way making a large geode art peice that ended up having chunks fall off of it because I used resin to adhere the fire glass
I’d love to learn more about I’ve tossed a few small things out so I’m learning! Ok I have those with the glass but didn’t know where to start! Thanks!
I pour paint and with my paint skins I adhere my skins to the cabochon with Diamond glaze both on the bezel and csbachon. Never falls off and you can wipe off the glue if it seeps out…
Great video Michelle. Paint skins are awesome aren't they. I have the crackle, tested it out a year ish ago and you now, I've done nothing since. Yu've inspired me to dig it out and have another play :)
I thought that first green you showed us was really pretty with all the streaks. It looked like it was an intentional part of the design. I bet if you had put the white nail polish on top of the color once it was dry, it would have worked. That's probably what you did differently the first time. Also, after putting the glitter resin in the tray, you could've put the glass cabochon on it directly and then only UVed it once.😺

@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 understand what you are saying, but if you go back thru your video you will see that you put the color red on your bezel but did not apply the white afterwards. So no vrackle😁

I love the effect with the brush strokes on the green one
same kinda reminds me of jade
That green with the brush marks looks cool!! You should use it! Very pretty
I liked it too
cross hatching the crackle nail polish and you can do a thick coat and use a blow dryer for a good crackle effect
Ooooh! I actually like the green one with the brush strokes. It looks like blades of long grass/leaves with the crackle veins ❤
They all turned out beautiful. Great job, thank you for sharing Michelle.❤❤❤❤

❤ I love the turtles! So many beautiful pieces and such an easy way you do il. Thanks. Marilyn at USA NH
These turned out very cool! The ones with the brush strokes remind me of stone, which I think is awesome.

so much fun and they turned out amazing! thanks michelle!! xo
Ooohhh my gosh how stunning are all of them ❤ !! I was looking at the last pics to try & find a fav-I couldn’t
When I made the resin "paper" the other day, I used alcohol inks. Try it, it's fun!

When I use my paint skins I use high gloss Mod Podge. It goes on white so if any squeezes out you can just wipe it off and dries clear and shiny.

Super cool, Michelle!
They are all so pretty, I love the butterfly with the glitter and the owl with the paint skin,. Beautiful jewelry.
You can also paint directly onto bezel. And use UV resin to adhere the cabachon
Hi Michelle, they are so pretty. A few diamonds in the eyes of owl or any where might give a little bling. Have a nice day.
That owl, and glitter butterfly are my favorites…but love them all. 😊❤
Beautiful Michelle awesome job
These are delightful! Nice work!
Every one of them are so awesome! Thanks for sharing!!
I love the paint skins! I'm going to order those bezels they are gorgeous ❤

I like the one with brush strokes. Maybe 2 coats of the color? They are beautiful. Definitely want to give the a try!❤
Those are awesome Michelle
These turned out beautiful!❤
BEAUTIFUL PIECES ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful pieces! I used the emerald ocean to fill in the top of a compact mirror. It is gorgeous!
Isn't that a beautiful glitter!!!
Try the silicone spatula to spread with no brush streaks

That Green with the crackle and brush strokes looks like Malachite with a web design. Nice!
They are all gorgeous but I think the owl with brown paint skin just pips the others to the post 💕😻💕😻💕
Just lovely
Very cool, great inspiration!
Gorgeous 😍😍😍
Omg
Crackle nail polish is everything. I use it on so many pieces. You'll have a lot of fun with them.

Paint skins was the first thing I thought of!!

You should!
They ALL turned out AMAZING!! 💜💜💜💜
Beautiful results...and so easy love the green turtle and the butterflies..God bless
Thought you needed to do the white on the bezel that you painted red. You said you needed to do it backwards?

Beautiful, but the owl has it❤😮
