- Today we dive into Aussie psychedelic music project TAME IMPALA "Borderline". It is the third track on the 2020 studio album THE SLOW RUSH. The song was released on April 12, 2019 and is written and performed by Kevin Parker. Quite the Rush !!

Love Tame Impala was lucky enough to see them in the very early days at a small music festival little did l know how big they would become. Going to see them this November in Australia where l am. Btw the people who play with him are largely from a band called Pond, check Em out. All these guys know each other from Western Australian music scene
Such a great song and band. I love their mesmerizing sound. I found this so band on my own somehow, then asked my kids and they said oh hell yeah! they’re great!

Really love this. Not to Beat a dead horse, but I discovered Tame Impala because of Mark Ronson’s Uptown Special album! Ronson won’t sing, but he does everything else. He brought in Kevin Parker for a bunch of tracks that sound a lot like this! Many “features” including Stevie Wonder and, of course, Bruno Mars. (Uptown Funk)

That's not entirely true actually... Kevin wrote the main guitar riff, drum beat and vocal melody for Daffodils. Plus, The Less I Know The Better, which Kevin obviously wrote entirely himself, was originally going to be on Uptown Special. Ronson wanted it, but in the end Kevin decided to keep it for Currents. Kevin also co-produced and wrote the vocal melody for Find U Again from Ronson's next album. I'd be interested to know how much Ronson actually does on his albums. If it's minimal, it's kind of weird that he wants to take all the credit, especially because he doesn't even sing on them.

Is this one of Ty's favourites? Perhaps he might like to see what he thinks of a track by the British band La Roux called Bulletproof. It's modern electronic dance music, and was a big hit over here.
