Loriot is a true legend
Loriot is pronounced "lor-yoh". It was the pseudonym of the German caricaturist and satirist Viktor von Bülow. It is the French word for a bird that is called oriole in English. This bird was the heraldic symbol of the von Bülow family.
It´s actually not about the egg but rather making fun about ordinary misconceptions of elderly couples who have been married for 40 years or something who constantly talk past each other and are stuck in their ways while desperately trying to maintain the standards of the European society of the 1970s 😅

With this one my Mother learn me, when i was 14 yo, i can make my own boiled egg. I was the only one in 5 Persone household who eat that. And my Mother means i was old enough to cook easy recipes like that.

But maybe the husband should cook the egg himself, then it will always be right.
That piece is from a time when men were not allowed in a womans kitchen. Germany 1965.
A man has to boil an egg? Really? A whole egg? Is there even a video on TH-cam showing how to do that? How do you sink it in water? With the pointed side or the round side? Or do you just throw it in? Does the water have to boil or do you use cold water and then let it boil.
