Sadly, for most of his personas you need to know the original to fully appreciate his art.

It's amazing how well he manages to get all the little ticks and behaviours of the people he imitates. Also, kudos to the makeup artists

Max Giermann is the MOST PERFECT IMITATOR in German TV ever!
Not only in behaviour but also in the voices...

6:54 Klaus Kinski was a german actor and probably the definition of "An actor between genius and madness". He was infamous for his outbursts of anger, if someone does or asks something stupid (by his own definition) and you never could predict, what behaviour he does. He was partily feared among kolleagues and sometimes even among his friends.
When he and his director, who was a good friend of him, made a movie in South America, they hired some natives for carrying the equipment and because they knew the surroundings. At one day, some of them came to the director and told him, that they feared Kinski and asked, if they should kill him and bury his corps so deep in the jungle, that no one would ever find him.

not sure, but i think at 5:50 Max playes both ^^
6:50: "Claudia Schiffer, let me say it like this: The apple is still at the tree, but it's also end of October." 🤣

1:32 He was indeed younger there than in some of the other scenes. This was a show called "Swith reloaded" with multiple now famous actors or comedians and they made parodies of reality shows or scam shows like this "Astro TV" you saw him in in this scene. Or the second and third one when he was Brigitte Nielsen and this man in this beer garden, "Christian Rach". The real Christian Rach for example was a restaurant tester and had his own show, they parodised him there. He was part of the cast from switch reloaded and the shows is from 2007-2012

The interviews where he portrays politicians are all part of satire shows. Many of the other clips are from the show called switch reloaded which was an amazing show where they parodied other German TV shows. The show was amazing

His best imitations are: Klaus Kinski, Hugo Egon Balder, Stefan Raab and Karl Dall. But to know these persons, you most likely have to be German.

Für Stefan Raab muss man kein Deutscher sein , der ist sehr sehr viel rumgekommen besonders bei den Amis ^^

Yep... The old Scotsman is really getting into it. Recently, he watched Evelyn Hamann's English "television announcement". He's really starting to understand our sense of humor...!

Sorry if I have to say this, for a non-German this form of humor can hardly be translated and certainly not the connection with German personalities (politicians, actors, etc.) in public life. For us Germans this is great art and a special humor ;-))

Max Giermann is an human Chameleon. His Make up and Mask takes Hours to make them so real. He is THE MASTER of Imitation. 😂

In order to fully appreciate his talent, you would have to know the original! It‘s mindblowing! He does not only look like them (which is obviously the achievement of incredible make-up artists), but he imitates and exagerates the movements, gestures and even the voice and dialect of the originals. (By the way: At 3:56 he plays Hugo Egon Balder, who is in the audience of another performance at: 6:33!)

once he told about the masks. it tooks about 5 hours every time to create that effects. mostly for the satire show extra3.

3:27 You have to watch a video of Helmut Schmidt, germanys former chancellor from 1974 to 1982, all the other ones are very good too but it is totally perfect here. You will almost find no difference between Helmut Schmidt in real life to the time he looked like Max Giermann in the Sketch and Max Giermann
4:47 Also here, a big part of this have the guys and girls who made his mask, but if you compare this where he plays Jens Spahn, former terrible health minister of germany to the real Jens Spahn, almost no difference.
10:43 Another comedian he played, Thorsten Sträter, you will find almost no difference here. German TH-camrs who reacted on this and knew how Thorsten Sträter looks like thought that this can not be Max Giermann.

The mannerisms and voices are almost pitch-perfect, if a little overacted. The makeup… not necessarily so.
