Amazing, as always... 10 years later, and this recipe is still on point. Excellent job here and thank you for sharing. Don't forget some good bread, toasted, to dip into that bisque.
I don't know how you do it Laura, I really don't know maybe its just your roots, but you manage to make the most tasteful, delicious, attractive food that is not only quick and very appetizing, but QUICK and and great for home chefs to make. Without a doubt, best homecooking show on the net!
I followed this recipe exactly with a few additions..... I took the lobster meat out (4-4oz tails) of the shells and covered in olive oil and sprinkled a little paprika on them then smoked with hickory chips for 30 mins on a Brinkman electric smoker. While they were smoking I made the stock the same way as Laura. I added 4 garlic cloves, a shallot and 1/2 yellow onion to the sauce. At the end I added some lobster meat prior to blending all the ingredients........ WOW This was so incredible and the smoked flavor in the Bisque was AMAZING... My Wife is hiding small containers in the refrigerator!!! Enjoy. Robert P

Laura I think you are fantastic. I used to love Giada Delaurentis, but you have taken her place. I love the simplicity and elegance. But more so how it is great home cooking with great traditional flair.
Thanks Laura for the tutorial for this fabulous recipe. I made it for a soup contest at work and won! Everyone was blown away by how awesome this soup was. All the credit to you!
I just made this for my wife's 50th birthday. I put the bisque over homemade pasta and added some seared scallops on top. Came out amazing! Great instructions and well done tutorial! Thank you!
Laura! This is the first recipe from your channel that I have made and it was perfection! My family loved it, even tho I didn’t have the cognac handy, it still came out amazing! Thanks!
we were shopping for christmas ideas over the weekend and my boyfriend asked if I still used cook books (as in, to get me a new one) and I just grinned and told him I don't need them for Christmas anymore - I have Laura Vitale on TH-cam!
I LOVE lobster bisque, and it will be so fun for me to make it at home from now on with a gluten-free flour or cornstarch substitution after watching this perfect recipe lesson. Thank you, Laura!
The same brand of fish stock has a lobster stock you can order online pretty reasonable and the don't forget to try their mushroom stock used it for the risotto
I searched the internet over and over again for a simple Lobster Bisque. OMG!! They are so snooty and / or hard!! OMG!!! I LOVE YOUR RECIPE!!!! I LOVE THIS!!! THANKS!
One of the restaurants on the islands has a lobster bisque poutine since we are so close to Canada, and it’s flipping amazing. So I’m gonna recreate that with this recipe
I'm a new subscriber and I'm SO happy I found your channel!! I love your spin on videos. You make it very easy to follow, you move quickly and keep me interested. Oh, all these recipes look fantastic!!! I made the homage pizza recipe earlier!!! Keep them coming!! Thanks!!!
Happy New Year to you and your family! I have made this wonderful recipe and it is awesome! Thanks Laura for your expertise in the culinary arts. God Bless you!
Friendly tip. Laura I believe that it is important that you add in your salt in the end for making soups, sauces, stock as well as boiling water. Because adding salt in advance will affect the water from coming to a rolling boil, whereas adding salt after it has come to a boil will increase the temperature a few degrees more. Also adding salt in advanced to soups, sauces, stocks etc may be overly salty as it reduces, flavours become more concentrated.
beautiful, love it, interesting how you use the cast iron pot instead of the preferred stock pot but it is neither here nor there in the end. Lobster bisque with cognac.... be right over.
I am not a lobster lover, but was given some lobster bisque in a food give away. I picked your video to find out just what it is. It looks like it tastes good. Mine coming from a giveaway doesn't leave me believing it will taste as great as yours looks, but yours leaves me willing to try new things. As lobster is out of my price range anyway this will be my bisque experience until I get a come up-ance. But thank you for being pleasant in your presentation, and not just informative.
