I don’t think anyone needs this. Especially when you are trained to look at the scene in the middle. I always have the camera on when driving and look at it on top of the quick shoulder check.
Hey Shiva. Do you know if they're going to create a version that works with older model 3s? I have a 2018 (gen 1). And curious, is that OBD port easily accessible on 2018s?
Crazy this isn’t a function in the main Tesla UI already. I know the new Highland model has a red LED in the front speakers but not the old design. Kind of a cool workaround idea, might get them myself now.
Looks really cool and I also would like to hear a beep if someone is in your blindspot and you put your turn signal on. My blindspot monitoring system does this and it is really useful.
Do you think they would be able to add a tone if your turn signal is on and someone is in your blind spot? Tesla seems to be able to send you audio warnings on everything else but blindspot
This unfortunately doesn't work for intel but I have already pressed them about coming with a compatible version for older cars with Intel chip. Thank you.
You mentioned in the video they will have more functions in the final version, however, On their website, they do not mention anything about it. Is this really happening?
Buddy I Don’t know if you answering here, but I already have a knob installed to current plug so, does it means that I am not able to install these blind spots indicators??
@@Sergei6960 You can install multiple accessories to the same port by daisy chaining them together. I have 3 things connected to that port and still works fine. Thank you, hope you are doing well my friend.
I think it’s a great idea but maybe the delivery of the light aesthetics need to be better. Maybe make it more built into the dash or side… maybe a bigger light? This round circle that protrudes looks a little cheap. Or even rectangle or even make a longer LED light strip in the vent…
Would have been nice to have both of these indicators on one side of the dash, in front of me. Its like what I see on the S3XY dashboard or the Satonic 8.8 inch display that also have blind spot monitoring. But both indicators in front of me and not one the sides. Otherwise, a nice simple but useful tool
Shiva Sapkota did you get rid of your old Tesla? I'm currently out of the states. Since you know the cars in and out... do you happen to know if the Tesla Model Y intel version have the OBD port on passenger side?
I would prefer both lights being centrally located. Having the right hand unit way off in the edge of my vision means I may not pick it up. It’s terrific that this issue has been solved. Now put it in my forward line of sight and it will really be great.
I would recommend buying the S3XY buttons or at least just the commander and then use the app to see it right in front of you. Just buy a magnetic mount to hold your phone while you drive. I've been using it and I now always use my spare for this feature along for other stats on every drive.
I think the idea is that you "should" be doing shoulder checks when you turn your wheels, which you will be turning your head, making these indicators in the center your vision :)
Hi Shiva, My Tesla Model Y is currently having 2 items that are connected to the OBD port. Adding this blind spot unit will be counted as the 3rd item on my OBD port. Do you think that it all the 3 units are to work together? My first connection to the ODB is the instrument cluster. The frunk knocking sensor is my 2nd unit that is connecting to the OBD port. Getting this blind spot would be my be 3rd unit that will be chained connected to the same OBD port. Thanks in advance for your advice.
Yes, that should work without any issues but it may get a bit tight on that door panel area, so you will have to do some cable management to ensure the carpet area flushes well so you can put that door panel bracket back on. Thank you.
Already to this point. Might as well add small speakers or if there’s a car beeps on u and yes flash red. Need brighter led. That definitely fine for night time. But day need brighter. They can also set default for the light brightness base on the UI day/night mode. Someone might say if someone blasting the music and can’t hear the beep. But that isn’t typical driver on the road. Yes there’s some. But really small percentage. So adding speaker behind the halo light definitely better. 🤷♂️
that jeep was way to close before the light came on.. weird.. I always use the mirrors and side camera views. i wish Tesla would just flash red on either side of screen when putting blinker on... and a mild amber indicator on screen if someone is in blind spot.
I'll wait for version 2. The light itself needs to be: 1) Square, not round. The round shape doesn't match the interior aesthetic. 2) The flat face of the light needs to be angled to face the driver. 6:49, the face of the light isn't facing the driver, so it's difficult to see.
Heading in the right direction. Same goes to the F88 display with the blind spot. Someone needs to figure out how to add a sound, as most of the car’s have, hardware is already in place
Most modern displays you install behind the steering wheel also have this monitoring. Also if you install the S3XY commander and use the phone app it comes with as a dashboard, you get the same blind spot monitoring, along with many more automations and features
Yes, this guy is correct. Tesla already has blind spot detection when your turn on your turn signal. The screen will turn red when there is someone in your blind spot
All good until Tesla does a software update and breaks the OBD coding (As happened on my HUD). Unless the control box can have its firmware updated that is.
Is this really needed since the screen will light up red if one tries to switch lanes when another vehicle is too close?
But when looking in the mirrors and over your shoulder you cannot see the screen.
I don’t think anyone needs this. Especially when you are trained to look at the scene in the middle. I always have the camera on when driving and look at it on top of the quick shoulder check.
Great video and product!

Yeah I like this feature on my highland and have been bugging these companies for a long time. Thank you.
@@ShivaSapkotaany audio beep when there is a car in the blind spot and turn signal is activated?
Have them change the circle to a bar that fits the vent it would look more oem

I am not sure if they can add audio with this hardware but they are adding the flashing red. I will pass along this feedback. Thank you!
Yes! Audio warning will be very helpful. It's surprising that Tesla doesn't have it.
I would really like this but a little pricey. Is there an AliExpress version yet?
Does this still work with the pre-Ryzen (older Intel) processors for the 2021's?
There is definitely interest in this product for older pre-2021 Model 3s.

Agreed a led ambient light strip with car integrated functions would be better for the price
I think ambient light strip would be amazing, I love that feature on my Highland. Thank you

pretty cool it should be like a led strip where the each of the end have the blind spot monitoring, then the center would have a regular led strip
Thanks! Yeah I did recommend that product to them. Hopefully soon!
That actually is an amazing idea
@@ShivaSapkota i would buy it without a doubt
Do you prefer this or your F88 screen with blind spot monitoring?
Why not do both! Better safe than sorry!
Do they make this for Model X ?
Unfortunately not yet but hopefully soon. Thank you.

not for model s ?
It would have been cooler had they implemented it into the tweeter speaker grill.
Add a beep if you have turn signal on and it goes red, and you just sold three.
