Realistic Fishing With a ZEBCO 33 GOLD Mirco - Ultralight Bluegill

- Today on Realistic Fishing I am fishing with the Zebco 33 Gold Micro. Ultralight bluegill fishing can still be done in winter. Its a cold 34 degrees out this morning but I am still out there catching fish on the Zebco 33. This micro fishing setup is great for catching panfish like bluegill. It is paired with a 6 ft ultralight fiberglass rod. Today fish are being caught on a simple float rig with a worm. When its this cold and fish are hard to catch, I am more than happy catching bluegill on an ultralight. #fishing #ultralight

One good thing about winter fishing is you usually have the place pretty much to yourself. If I had caught that deformed bluegill I would have assumed a big bass probably tried to use it for his lunch. Always enjoy your videos.
I have a heron at my local fishing pond as well. Likes to visit when people are catching the stocked trout. Fun to throw him a fish or two when the bite is good.
When you fed the bird I really was proud that you're one of my favorite fishermen to watch on TH-cam.
You are lovin' that ultralight rod. it's fun seeing it bending like crazy even on a small brim. Keep it realistic!

Reminds me of our resident eagle who likes flying above me and my wife while we kayak fish. Two summers ago he got a couple trout for lunch. It was a very cool experience!

We have the blue herons here. The pelicans can get aggressive when you land a fish. The best thing is that when you have that time when you release a fish and it goes belly up, something will come by and eat it: pelicans, herons, osprey, seagulls, and sometimes even a bald eagle. I've never seen Satan's hounds in your videos (Canadian geese.)

There's nothing wrong with catching a few bluegill. I enjoy bluegill fishing. I still have a few in the freezer.

Fan from Florida! im certainly glad i'm in florida tho the other day I caught peacock bass, red devil chiclids, and even 2lb large mouth all using the SAME bait right next the street. I really hope one day alex could come visit miami and fish the canals and shoot some videos!
I have a Zebco 33 micro reel and rod that I bought years ago and it is seriously fun to catch sunfish on. It's not an underspin like your using but a miniature Zebco 33. I still take it out once in a while just to have fun catching sunfish on it.

Sup Alex. Nothing more realistic than fishing conditions handed to us. I still do well fishing for bass in waters I can fish, here in ri it's usually the river or ponds that have a dam with some open water. Even bass fishing catch unexpected fish. They do well ice fishing but I'm disabled now those fun days are over. Looks like Mr. Herring is your new pet👍. Surprised a bass didn't hit. Realistic video, I never cought so many gills on a jerkbait as this year.

I caught a few bluegill today at a local park pond. Was a bit warmer where I'm at (Madison, AL) today. Decided I had some extra time this early afternoon to do some fishing. Slow bite. Fed a great blue heron a few tiny bluegill I caught. Very tame bird and enjoyed what I fed him or her lol
Omega for walleye works great ,they can say what they want, easy reliable reels

or a boat motor, or osprey attack, or was used at bait, who knows... I dont think herons have razor sharp bills, but maybe.

This reel is the best for trout fishing and keep it super light with a ultra light pole is the best to us up to 4 lbs carp 😊fish. And people think it won't bring in the big one's.
