Winter Bank Fishing with Hellgrammite & Panfish Magnets (Bass Caught)

- I did some Winter Bank Fishing with Hellgrammites & Panfish Magnets and caught a bass! Did I catch it on a hellgrammite or the Panfish magnet? Along with the bass, I also caught crappie and bluegill. Both of these lures worked well for the conditions I was facing. Cold wind and snow made the fishing a bit tricky. I can safely say that either of these lures can catch fish. But today, the panfish magnet caught more variety. If you have access to hellgrammites or panfish magnets, give them a try in open or frozen water. You just might catch a bass as well.

We have had snow here in Illinois too, fishing is going to get tougher and tougher. Awesome to see you out there and those gulp hellgrammites are sick! I have not seen those at stores near me.

I feel your pain on finding the perfect gloves. I settled for a rechargeable hand warmer. Charge it before ever trip and it keeps my hands warm if I stick my hand in a pocket with it.

Welcome to Colorado. I have helgramites from Bass Pro, which are like 3". I've had trout attack them but haven't used them much. That 1.5" looks like it might be more productive.
Its a great size for being less intimidating

If you're looking for good gloves I recommend the Kastking Mountain Mist gloves. They allow you to slip a few fingers and thumb through slots so you can tie knots/put on bait, then put them back on so your fingers don't freeze. They work well and aren't super expensive. Definitely saved me a lot of discomfort last winter.

@@RealisticFishing yea bro I lived in Tennessee till the last 2 years, I've moved to Washington state. Here smallies are one of the main sport fish esp if you like a fight they cut up. I love salmon and sturgeon fishing to it's a different experience. If you ever make it to the west coast let me know I'll show you some killer smallie lakes
