The way you took a photo of an expensive AF coffee table, and just MADE IT YOURSELF! 😮🥇 I also really like the way you worked with what you had, both from your own stash of supplies and with what the family already had in their home to incorporate with the new things you were bringing in... your designs are always thoughtful and functional as well as being cute! 🥰
Oh, and I somehow forgot to mention! I love how you share your process of working out what to do in a space, or how to do something crafty or a practical build... it makes the whole thing seem more possible and accessible to us DIY n00bs who don’t have a clue what we’re doing, and feel intimidated by the enormity of even figuring out where to start!
I’ve got a long way to go before I could be anywhere close to the things you can do - I don’t have any power tools (wait that’s a lie, I have a cordless drill which I guess counts! Though I bought it early last year and haven’t used it yet, so maybe it doesn’t 😆), and also don’t have any outside space to use them or paint/stain/varnish things in... aside from the public areas outside my apartment building, which might work, but could be weird! I live in a new little mini neighbourhood with 4 apartment buildings and like a dozen or so townhouses on the opposite side of the road, plus there are roof terraces on the two buildings next door that I have access to, which might work better for setting things up that need to be left for a while (my roof is covered in solar panels and sadly no outside area!)... but also, I live in London and it’s literally freezing (OC/31F) today, so I don’t know what kind of outside projects I could even be thinking of! 😜 I am looking to buy a solid wood kitchen worktop to use as the top of my sit-stand desk, and I’ll probably need a place to oil or seal it (not to mention drilling holes to attach the desk frame, though that seems like a thing I would just do inside and not try and schlep it all the way outside and up onto a neighbouring roof! 😆)... thinking about the realities of the weather right now, maybe I just need to pay the extra for the company to oil it for me, even though I don’t get as much choice or control over what they do with it that way... but I just cannot wait until spring to finish investing in my WFH space, so I think I’m going to have to accept that compromise!
Now I’m just babbling in your comments and thinking out loud so I’m going to stop now 😆 I guess my point was just some appreciation for you doing what you do in a way that leads to both admiration and inspiration from your viewers! ❤️

You are a generation or two younger than I am. I was really stunned by this makeover. I love all the art work and the carpet and everything you put into it. I just think you did an A+ job on it.
I totally added doors to the exact same shelf! The key was magnetic latches to help the doors stay closed as the dividers on the shelf are not much to work with. Also add legs! It really adds to the piece. Love the makeover 😍
The black satin finish at the windows gives them almost a metallic finish- VERY hotel! 💖🦩

I love this transformation and the black trim is the icing on the cake!! To match the color of the cube, you could paint a diy faux wood texture with chalk paint and antique to max. I just tried this technique on particle board and it looked great and kind of resembled the color of the cube. You could also try layering the stain colors driftwood, provincial, and weathered gray. They all have a grey under tone!

OMG girl I have those exact curtains in my entire house! I love them and they are durable with washing/drying. I used the exact same hanging technique with black rods and clips. LOVE LOVE LOVE! ❤️

It's amazing how different a space turns out after a makeover...it was very clever to move the TV to the other wall and hang those stunning curtains!!! To cover the heater was also brilliant,it looked not so nice in the room .... anyway.. great makeover, good job 👍👏🙌🎄🎍🎁♥️

So beautiful! Especially the accent chairs. For coffee table, can I offer a little suggestion, if you trim off the rounded edges and join the top pieces with pocket holes, it creates a lovely smooth top.
Often when you do things, I think, "No, not like that!" and then I see the final reveal, I understand and it makes perfect sense! 💕

Love the make over the black trim makes it. I was wanting to paint my windows black. The light fixture I never seen the globe turned up like that I’ve always seen them facing down great job on the coffee table maybe on your next sky coffee table you could use the base off the round one and see how that would work with an oval top you always do a great job just love how it turned out.
This is by far my favorite makeover you’ve done. You did such a great job from start to finish, the growth is seen. Keep growing, making beautiful spaces and spreading kindness.
