I'm an Arsenal fan but I have nothing for Sir Alex other than my utmost respect, the same respect and admiration I have for Arsene Wenger. He made Manchester United dominate English football for over a decade, what an achievement.

I got most respect for Arsenal too, i'm from the netherlands, and i started watching the BPL from young, and i was a starter Arsenal fan but when i seen manchester united play in the early 90's something drew me too them there style, there game style, im a red devil now, but good too see a Gunner have respect for football legends in general even if it's not one of yours

Nobody will ever replace this legend of a manager in the world, but I'm pretty proud of what Van Gaal is doing so far on his first year and with half our squad injured we are still 3rd and hopefully we will qualify for the champions league next year, which will be more than enough for our great club and hopefully step in the positive trail that sir Alex left us when he retired

Gotta give respect where respect is due and Sir Alex Ferguson is indeed the greatest British manager there has been and ever will be. I'm a Chelsea fan but as well know Man United is a massive club with a massive history and is the sort of the club where the fans expect silverware every season. Ole is seemingly on the right track to take United back to being a team that regularly competes for trophies such as the league and I hope Man U can get back into the mix for the league. Premier League is about competitive football and we need that every season

As a liverpool fan through and through, and in light of the derby kick off today between Liverpool and Manchester United, I can honestly say Sir Alex Ferguson was the greatest manager the game of football has ever seen. His support from Manchester United even in non trophy times was unprecedented. No one can take his place and his accomplishments, it will take time for Moyes to understand United and liverpool are fortunate to have a team like they currently do. Brendan Rodgers has done an amazing job but it took him nearly 1-2 years to make this team what it is. It will probably take Moyes the same time for United. Sir Alex will be missed by everyone who loves the game, regardless of team. Football for life everyone :)
