As a Forest fan, i have high admiration for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. I remember hearing the Forest match on the radio as a kid. I dont have many favourite Utd players but he is one my favourite strikers from that era.

He gave his footballing career to Manchester Utd and I know they gave him his chance but most other players would of left to become the main man but he stayed put and with his steely determination and killer instinct he has got his just rewards! He's said that in the FA cup final that he didn't play in, at half Sir Alex said in the dressing room "Cole will have to get the winner, but if he doesn't, I'll just put Ole on in the 80th and he'll get it for us". Cole scored only a few minutes into the half because of how this drove him, and Ole said even not playing, but hearing that, gave him the confidence for the Champions League final

United 1999. They'd still be winning games now if there was such a thing as a time machine that is. 4 goal poachers capable of scoring 20+ each. Plus Giggs and Scholes. I'd still back them to turn over Pep's Barcelona...in injury time. Can any remember Ronny Johnsen doing a Clodoaldo swivel past 5 defenders during that season? I can't remember which game it was, but I remember thinking, they're gonna win the lot. And they did. I'd pick every single one of them ahead of 2004 & Arsenal's 23 foreigner rule inwhateverbles. As a manager, I think he's doing a brilliant job. He's got them pointing in the right direction and it'll take a bit more time, but he'll come good, I'd recommended him way back when David Moyes was making a mess of things. I just thought he'd have a much better idea of what was needed, even though he's only have been about 40 at the time.

Fantastic video as always, TIFO But I think you should have included his red card against Newcastle in 1998. The ball broke forward with Rob Lee facing no one but Van der Gouw in goal as United chased a late winner. Solskjaer made a lung bursting run from the opposition box to just outside the United penalty area which culminated in a professional foul on Lee and red card. As he was going off, David Beckham ran over to console him and you could clearly see Ole say "I had to" with a shrug of his shoulders.
