For anyone asking how the banshees moved like jets considering they appear to be based on helicopter-like technology, it's because they are specially designed to fly in both space and dense atmospheres. Utilizing both of these, they can perform air-strikes like the one seen in the cinematic by entering the atmosphere at speed, using the momentum gained from the drop as well as the propellers to "pull up", and then performing the strike. Also, the fourth Banshee broke off in order to pick up our heroes, hence why it's seen behind Raynor at the end (and not by any means to make him look like the 'Jesus' character).
I think they're using STOVL technology which is how Banshees are able to hover over things. Also, you can see that they were using some sort of high thrust engine (possibly jet or something else, because I don't think there is much air in Char) to propel the Banshees at high speeds.

Warfield should be in Heores of the Storm, I can see him being a Specialist with one of his ults being able to call in droppods of Marines anywhere on the map.

SC and BW had amazing stories. In SC2, this is the only cutscene that gave me the same feels from the previous 2 games.
The Banshee rotors are just for lift. If you watch at about 2:08 you can see they're being propelled forward by two jet engines.
when Raynor decides to take the battle to them, to take it to the zerg, right at there doorsteps, i felt like we humans can do anything we desire, even march into the flames of destruction and make a 'beach head' from where our troops could get the job done

@ToastyMingMing The armor reduces the recoil on the c-14's they use and it gives them additional strength/durability in unique environments + ability to jump out of medevacs
In-game you see a few rines getting attacked by hydras and some banshees killing them and you shrug your shoulders and continue to the massive battle going on elsewhere in the map.
I think it was the badass rifle he used in the "Belly of the Beast" mission...not sure though.

@JunHHong Actually hydralisks are pretty strong beasts. According to the old manual, hydralisks have 4000 muscles opposed to humans 629 muscles and if portion of those are used, they shoot a spike trough 2 cm of neosteel(which is the material where terran armors are made). Average hydralisk is about 5.4 long and body weigh is 390 kilograms.

@nikamungus Those shots are actually supposed to be 30 round bursts (ZOMG!!!) and so that times 11 is 330, so General Warfield fist actually = 330 Gauss Rifle Rounds

@Hiveslayer18989 This is in-game, if you look in the editor you can find the models and animations. They are just not used in the actual gameplay.
@TheSeviar Ever seen what a .50 cal round does to a person? It makes a huge hole... like huge. Now I don't know about you, but I would expect head explosion from a round casing that sticks into the ground once it leaves the rifle.

@darthguy999 I guess it is both gas propelled and magnetically propelled. In starcraft wiki, it mentions that the rifle uses a power supply.
@epicfail86 Actually the problem is that he didn't micro - the zerglings ran off without waiting for the rest of the main force.
Now THAT'S a badass general. Also, I like how the zerglings look more like pig-lizards. :P
@JunHHong That is true but I think the way that it works game wise is that the zerg have evolved a lot from the previous game and their attacks are far more vicious, so this would mean they would be more efficient at killing humans and ignoring armor.

@DeMishMIsh there were only a few mutas and hydras, the final attack was exclusively zerglings.
@Hiveslayer18989 It is in fact in-game, just unused. It's no prerender either, it's Blizzards way of waving their dicks around: "Look at me I can make AAA level graphics that work well on standard rigs, but I just don't want to."

@ToastyMingMing I think the dominion Marines are made out to be like stormtroopers in that regard..... the can't shoot for squat and die in all the cutscenes

I don't friggin' know, I just commented and peoples likes it. Doesn't matter if my grammar is wrong or sth, And....Its not a question man, its an expression of my emotions over the scene where General Warfield punched that Hydralisk and knocked it out. While his soldiers with guns can do little damage on it.

I have been asking myself the same question about the fourth Banshee ;)
But concerning the gauss rifle where did u read they do not need bullets? Gauss rifle are isuing a nelectromagnetic field to propulse a metallic needle (in Uranium because of it's mass), which can be considered as a bullet by analogy with current weaponnery. Gauss rifles do not "create" ammunition.
+Wasp189 well maeby i am totaly wrong.. but i think he means.. the shell casings its a bi product from fyring projectils bz the gun powder its in them... but railguns use magnetic so no need for powder casings ;)?

master chief: super solider, fight aliens, good in hand to hand combat, powered battle armor(which is hella exspensive), leader
jim raynor: normal human,fights alien swarm, has a sniper rifle that can own you from miles away, has his own rebel army, still owns ass while he's drunk, leader, and battle armor that can pretty much do the same shet master chiefs armor can do but hell of alot cheaper

Unlike the Osprey, Banshees do not seem to have tiltrotor capability. And I would describe the (first generation) Orca as a helicopter.
