We are at Kala Ghoda in Mumbai, heading towards Chetna Veg Restaurant to try out their thalis! They do some really amazing Rajasthani Thali, Gujarati Thali and Maharashtrian Thali. If you go in the right season (just like we did) you get to have the season special Undhiyu! 😋

Once we were out with my brother’s children. While we were eating they went and stood right next to a guy eating and kept looking at him. They must have been 4 feet from him. The guy wolfed down his food and almost ran away. He looked spooked.
The Cameraman in the front was surely intimidated by the woman sitting behind and constantly starring the whole shoot 😂😂😂
Aunty in the background has sneaked more times than Kunal sir said papad 😂
As a foreigner watching, India is blessed with abundant array of delicious foods and snacks, no need for those chainstore outlet foods or junk food. Makes us jealous and hungry for natural food. God Bless this abundance and may the world learn to eat traditional natural food. Delicious

You should have used Raga Mand or something similar as the background music because this was food from Rajasthan and Gujarat area, instead of Raga Hamsa Dhwani, a predominantly Carnatic raga. And the lady in the background...well she has received more comments than the food itself! 😀
It was a go to place in the late 90's when you were very hungry or there was always Cafe Samovar!!!
Papad is also my favorite thing to eat. Yummy food. However, I really think you should also visit Thacker bhojnalay in South Bombay. I think their thali is the best.
As ll the dishes were mouthwatering nd I was vry jealous of Kunal enjoying the lovely, delicious Rajasthani nd Gujrati thali.

Kunal sir, requests you to please revisit your phrase "Most of the Rajasthan is arid and dry". I think Rajasthan have rivers, dams, lakes, reservoirs, water bodies & baavri etc. and they use water very efficiently.

Khakhra papad ni churi is also common in Gujarat. Same with Papad sabzi especially in arid areas of Saurashra and Kutch even North Gujarat. Dhokli Nu shaak is similar to Pithoda ro saag, gotta is similar to shrada. Historically Gujarat and Rajasthan were same before 17th century.

Gujjus can't get over tuver in winters😅so home thaali is always pure seasonal than using Punjabi chhole n aaloo pyaaz in restaurants...gujjus eat aaloo least..methi thepla is winter season in 1 word

Kunalji we went to this place after seeing your lovely expression and mouth watering reactions.
However, we did not fine the food that greats. Both thali Gujarati & Rajasthani were very average and not value for money.

South Indian lunch not is everyone's cup of tea...definitely not of non South indians
@@jirasi5557 There are other thali choices too in my comments . Is better to have variety than two similar cuisines in a restaurant. South Indian vegetarian dishes are very popular in the north now .

All the items of Rajasthani and gujrati thalis are not good. Sometimes these thalis are overrated as per my experience. It think Punjabi and south Indian dishes are good in comparison to Raj and guj thali
