@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle I think Cannibal Corpse - the Bleeding was one of the best Metal Albums ever recorded. His voice hasn’t changed in over 30 years. Seriously, check out his old videos of him in Monstrosity and you’ll see. That’s pretty incredible for a death metal vocalist.

I have a Death tattoo and I do consider Chuck on the ultimate Mt. Rushmore of death metal but I have also held the same belief that Possessed are the true progenitors of death metal (beyond the fact they coined the phrase). Maybe it's a Baltimore thing.
Thank you so very much for that interview With Corpsegrinder. The anecdote with him watching Chuck performed at a small gig was pur gold. I saw George and Cannibal several times in France during the late 90's early 2000's it was always more than awesome. But I believe Death was 1st though im not 100% sure on that. Its been a big debate for a long time over who was the first.. Lol
Great person. I think his voice and style suited Monstrosity a lot more. More melodic. better solos. I think its safe to say that Alex webster stole george and his future. made him a slave to the CC.

Could it be the end of man and time?
Back on earth the flame of life burns low
Everywhere is misery and woe
Pollution kills the air, the land and sea

Rocket engines burning fuel so fast
Up into the black sky so vast
Burning metal through the atmosphere
Earth remains in worry, hate and fear
With the hateful battles raging on
Rockets flying to the glowing sun
Through the empires of eternal void
Freedom from the final suicide
Freedom fighters sent out to the sun
Escape from brainwashed minds and pollution
Leave the earth to all its sin and hate
Find another world where freedom waits, yeah
Past the stars in fields of ancient void
Through the shields of darkness where they find
Love upon a land a world unknown
Where the sons of freedom make their home
Leave the earth to Satan and his slaves
Leave them to their future in the grave
Make a home where love is there to stay
Peace and happiness in every day

Its been a big debate for a long time over who was the first.. Lol
In 2014 Garza from SS asked me about Hank 3 (because I had a hoodie on), the country mentions definitely stick out.
Next: Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates), Martin Van Drunen (Asphyx), Daniel Gonzalez (Possessed), Trevor Strnad (TBDM).
Please!
Agreed with Possessed as the first along with the hell awaits album.
