Dude that was EPIC!!! Great shooting and explanation on how best to load it. Great hat Indiana Jones. 🙂 If an LVPO or otherwise is getting in the way, consider mounting the quiver upside down. Consider 44 mag or 357 mag for your situation.
I have this gun myself and I cannot stress enough. If you aren't going to run it suppressed GET THE COMET! The 45-70 kicks like a mule with anger issues. The Muzzle break takes the gun from "Powder your shoulder" to manageable. Also there is a 2 round horizontal quiver for front mounting. I usually run the 6 round on the stock and a 2 round quiver infront of the loading gate.
Thanks for sharing. I following you on IG and stumbled upon your youtube channel tonight while doing my homework on henry lever action rifles. Also thanks for clearing up the emergency loading issue. 🤙🏿
Never screwed with a 45-70 😜 and levers have always been where it’s at, just taken the rest of you all to figure it out. God Bless Texas and 45-70 🤙🏼❤️🇺🇸🤠
Love the beginning of your videos bro, I have access to a private outdoor range and find my self doing the same goofy shit with the torso targets…😂 Oh yeah just jumped on the lever action bandwagon, and picked up a Henry in 45 colt with all the RPP furniture…🤙🏽
4570 is awesome! I love to reload it with 9gr of Trail Boss. That takes a 410gr bullet to about a 1000fps. Great for plinking and taking down pigs and deer at close range. Not to mention it sounds like a pellet gun.
The key is being fully loaded AND having a backup BEFORE the bear charges. My Henry X is in 44 Mag, which is a good in-between round. THOUGH, if you load your own, you can tame, 45-70 to reasonable home defense round, and still able to take down deer or even small black bear and hogs., the 44 Mag is already there AND you can run 44 spcl or 44 spcl loaded 33 mag loads for practie.
Henry pissed me off by not having enough x models on the market. And permitting dealers to ask crazy prices for one at 1,000 to 1700.00. I just bought mine from a honest dealer for $849.00 on sep-20-23.
Damn! let me do your edits! lol. As someone who's constantly video editing I see all the cuts haha. Great video btw ! I got me a 357/38spcl Henry and I have yet to shoot it.
140 rounds at 2.80 round. Plus $700 in upgrades and a free gun... sounds like a great investment. LOL. You are missing a couple components from Ranger Point Precision. The 45-70 Level Take down pin, the hammer extension, and the new and improved trigger... next video? It is almost like you reviewed my rifle... very cool. The explanation of the loading makes sense. It appears that RPP may have another additional part to fab, the extractor? Having 18 rounds on the or in the gun is why this is a great choice for Californians, were ten is the max. Also the lever, would wrap the paracord, or just run gloves? Thanks for the video.
I'm curious to know why more modern tactical lever-action rifles aren't being made with a hammerless design such as the Savage Model 99 or the Winchester Model 88?
Hey. I'm new to the channel. Loved the music at the beginning. And the bear commentary had me rolling. You got a new subscriber. Oh and I just ordered the SBL model with the rail and 19in barrel.
Do you think an XS Sights Henry Optic Mount w/ Ghost Ring sights be worth a look for that setup? I think it would potentially add some value to that already sweet lever gun. Oh an one of the best lever gun movies to watch is 'Winchester 73' (1950). Some of you may enjoy it.
Is it threaded 5/8x24? Or is it 11/16x24 like my Ruger-Marlin trapper 45-70? I didn't know if that is what henry threads are, or was that a little mistake 🤷♂️
Black bears are the only bear the I'm aware of that can climb trees, and I've always heard that if possible, it's best to run downhill from a bear, because they're front legs are shorter than their hind legs, and although they're all great at climbing uphill, they tend to have trouble running downhill.
Henry M-LOK Handguard, Henry M-LOK Adjustable Butt Stock, CHEEK RISER, M-LOK 45-70 cartridge holder x 2, Henry X 45-70 Comet Brake, RHINO 5" Picatinny Rail Scope Mounts, BUTT STOCK ACCESSORY PANEL, (While you are there go ahead and order these as well. You will want them.) Henry Tool-less Butt Stock Takedown Screw, Henry Trigger Kit, Henry Lever Quick Takedown Screw. Cost projection for these parts will be just north of $1000.00. Now you just need to pick out a sight system.
why do y'all eff up perfectly good lever guns by hanging all that tactical wannabe crap on them...looks dumb as F... a few years from now there will be a lot of buyer's remorse with those silly setups 🤣🤣🤣🤣
18 November 2022 - What is with the stupid music on your video. It is totally unnecessary filler used by those who have nothing better to offer; YOU have something better to offer.

It’s an M-LOK rail. Why can’t you just bump the quiver forward enough to clear the optic?
@@CplMAC1144 That is also an option yes.
when yall restocking?
I heard Martin Scorsese thinks this is cinema. The most cinematic gun video on TH-cam. Bravo. Love it.

Ranger point has the best quality upgrades you can buy , I put their comet muzzle break on my X model , looks awesome

I've always love my Winchester 94 lever actions never went out of style for me

Yes it can be quite versatile, if you load your own. WHich btb is really the only way financially.
I cannot wait to buy these second hand 9mo from now
why?

That gen 2 handguard is nice
Damn, somebody looking for an Oscar award, lol. Nicely done

Dlx or planet eclipse lube on the quiver orings. Problem solved! That’s how I cured my ranger point quiver from not wanting to let go of rounds!
Got the same model on back order. Hope I get one soon 🤞

hot pepper spray ( make sure you are up wind ) ... for bears
I just wish they made these in 556 or 308 that still looked exactly the same.
The ones I've seen don't look nearly as good.
Maybe if Henry gets enough feedback, they'll make an "X Model" version of the Long Ranger. 😁
Pointy bullets and tubular magazines might be hazardous.
Have 4 Henry's. Luv em

Can't find one anywhere in Canada atm, sold out the second basically any lever action comes in

That looked like it was fun.
Dude that intro was sick!!!
I know who started the tactical lever action and it sure in the hell Was Not Chris coxca. It was Mossberg 464 who started the trend 100%.
Nope...that Mossberg 464 look like crap lever gun lovers wouldn't buy it and you're right it definitely wasn't Chris Costa either
@@Highgear145 he didn’t say it was Coxca, just that it was Coxca’s video that was the first he saw 😜😊👍🏼
They can’t be banned due to the facts that they can’t hold 30+ rounds and they aren’t semi auto. Hence they’re gaining in popularity
Nice video dude!!!ranger point!!!!
says everything except the foregrip?? whats the foregrip?
3:21 The answer is Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I didn’t see any tactical lever action around until then.
I just picked up a model X chambered in 44
the recoil is not that bad it's about like 3006 or a 12 gage shot gun i have the same Henry x 45-70 you dont need a muzzle break
Is it threaded 5/8x24? Or is it 11/16x24 like my Ruger-Marlin trapper 45-70? I didn't know if that is what henry threads are, or was that a little mistake 🤷♂️
Ohhh my goodness 😍😍😍
What hand stop is that? Thanks!
What kind of forward grip is that?
Yea your screwed better be quick Carlos😂
Can these upgrades go on Henry Big Boy Color Case Hardened Carbine .357 Mag/.38 Spl Side Gate.. has an octagon barrel.
Yes unless Chris Costa had some custom pieces from ranger point precision like the handguard. He has one all decked out with an octagonal barrel 🤙
What quiver are you using for the stock?
I need that hat.
Freakin' awesome intro!!
I would like to have one like that where can I get one
Which hand stop is that ❓
What’s the small curved foregrip? Who makes it??
It could be a Bravo Company KAG or a Slate Black Industries M-LOK Slate Stop. I’m not to sure but one of those will get you the general profile.
Those upgrades cost more than half of what i paid for the rifle
what fore grip model is that?

You should never run from a bear.
Can you use factory sights if you have the ranger point pic rail on ?
H012x model
I just wish I could get one. Been to several places and they can't get them.
I ordered mine and got it within two months
Scheels has them
henry is nice but there to long for me i w0ound up buying a marlin trapper and then upgraded everything with ranger point
I need a build list. Plz
