Thank you so much Tiffany, I really really enjoyed watching you create those gorgeous and beautiful backgrounds and I really love ❤❤❤❤ all of them too. I’m going to be doing some of these for my cards that I make. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
I came back to watch again to be clear about putting as many wrinkles as possible into the plastic wrap and letting it dry overnight under weight. Very cool. 🇨🇦🌷
Thank you.. I wish a company would come out with a monthly stencil subscription. There is so much on the market they could put together a nice box, stencils, pastes, watercolors, paper, ink, stickles, dauber, foil, sky is the limit.
@@jeanboyko5579 thank you for the info I just looked into it. 2 giant stencils for 25.00, discount on previous stencils, download for a video, No thanks. I'm talking for making cards.
I am going to have my hubby buy me some saran wrap..I don't want to use all of my special sticky wrap for this.. Thank you for this wonderful idea. I knew I could use water over a stencil over my water colors and inks.. but saran wrap and others is a game changer.
I remember the plastic wrap technique from years ago, but did it on glossy white cs and with dye inks. I haven’t tried it since then and now I want to get out my watercolors, stencils and plastic wrap and play! 😍. Thanks so much for sharing 🤗
Yes it is such a fun and simple technique! I often forget about the oldies. They are sometimes the best! I hope you get some time to play! If you do tag me on social media if you want! I would love to see! Thanks so much for watching!
Loved this! Years ago I used to use plastic wrap in a little workshop called “Painting With the Fairies” with watercolors and then putting the paintings out in the sun to dry. So we had all the elements in the pigments, water, air and fire. The paintings kept changing for days like magic. I had not thought of using plastic wrap in my art journal in this way. Can’t wait to revive this in a new way! Thank you.
I loooove how these turned out! And I know exactly what you mean about feeling like you have to make an elaborate background! I am definitely going to try these techniques! Thanks for sharing!❤️
Hi Sara. In the description box there is a supply list. It should be in there. I can’t remember off the top of my head. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
Fabulous! I'm excited to try out everyone's techniques from this video hop. Please tell me, where did you get your "Art" clips. I so want some for my smaller art journal.
They are from Finnabair/Prima I love them. They don’t open too wide but perfect for a smaller journal. Please share on social media and tag us if you create something inspired by our techniques. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
Try a dark colour, your paint needs to watery not thick, your paper dry ( if you work wet on wet it won’t work)crumple the wrap a little first, then straighten it out, so there’s still some wrinkles, lay it gently ( almost roll it down) & DONT press it down…just let it it go onto the paintLet it dry for about 45 minutes & remove…don’t try to use hairdryer to speed it up. Different thicknesses of wrap give different delicacy of pattern…I’ve just done this a couple of hours ago with a thin plastic bag, a bin liner & some luggage wrap…

When you combined the two techniques, did you spritz the plastic wrap before you smooshed it on the stencil and paper???
This was really wonderful. As you say so simple but great results and what a fun way to overcome the fear of creating. I shall defiantly try this.

Yes simplicity is sometimes best. I love getting back to the basics to remember why i love crafting. Thank you for watching!
I love using the cling film technique but I use pearlescent water colour sprays on top of normal watercolours. The effect is awesome.

Love that layout all heavily concentrated in the center! Absolutely gorgeous! Also simple is amazing, makes it easier to have fun, I need that 😂
Thank you so much! Simple is fun and over looked a lot of times. ❤ I hope you give it a try! It is also a fun technique for kids!
Im a new fan!!
Where do you get those stencils?
They are linked in the description.
Wow
Will alcohol inks work?
Yes. The plastic wrap actually works amazingly with alcohol inks.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you!
I have never had any luck with the darn plastic wrap. I do what seems what every video shows......nothing. Disappointing! Yours are pretty.

Not to simple.
Right? Simple but not "too simple"
Thank you!
