My Granddaughter would be thrilled with the pencil art. I recently gave her a large set of good pencils. I gave her paints etc too. I have the same micro pens. I took up pen and ink in my 20s, acrylic painting in my 30’s, then a mixture of the too and now I am into watercolor, and multimedia. I also cut out wooden Christmas ornaments when my energy is up. I’m in my early 70s now and work on something every day. I sometimes refinish antique furniture when it’s warm enough in the garage. Keeping busy keeps the pain levels down. Enjoy your life! ❤👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇨🇦

Oh goodness, this is a beautiful piece of art. Please don't ever apologize for where your intuition and heart takes you. You will never make everyone happy, so just do what makes you happy. Think of it as expanding other's horizons and offering a challenge to work outside your normal comfort zone. You do you. Love you and your work. You are ALWAYS inspirational.

I love that you did something other than a doodle. Don't let the success and popularity of that style lock you into just one thing, I think in the end it won't be for the best for you OR for the channel. Your art style, and what you convey, is to “just go with it” being free and easy and relaxed. This may not have been a doodle, but the feeling was the same, you did what the piece was calling out for, so don’t worry, it was beautiful, and not technical at all. 🤗🇬🇧

This is gorgeous. I like the yellow. I like how the background made a diamond shape. I like the shading. I like the little highlights. I'm a silver fan so I don't miss the gold lol. I'm not here for doodles, I'm here for whatever you want to show us. I like seeing your process of deciding how to handle whatever the paint decides to do. I like seeing different approaches to things. I like seeing artists try new things. Yep, no complaints here. I understand wanting or needing to stick to "a brand" or what the majority of subscribers like but I really love artists that are just their authentic selves and not like super curating their content. So thank you for showing us your different stuff, your oopses, etc.

It is your piece of art, you create it the way it feels right to you. There is no right or wrong, as you know art is a very subjective thing. I don’t think you would have been so happy with the outcome had you made it into a doodle. I would very much like to hear your approach to adding colored pencil to your pieces. Lovely! You might try using “regular” cling wrap, rather than the Cling Plus with adhesive, and you might consider random pin pricks in the surface, before installing it, for perhaps a different effect, with a slightly quicker drying time. Also, consider cutting small and large bubble wrap bubbles in single or multi bunches, laying those down just prior to the cling wrap. Even deflated, they might be interesting. That might offer some rounder, more “doodle” compatible sections in the surface.
You give the true meaning of Go With the Flow! Many thanks for inspiring and relaxing videos.

I have experimented with various types of plastic wrap, and the Cheapest brands you can get is the best for moving around once you place on paper to make more shapes. I also crinkle it in a ball first, and then open before laying done, too. Love your technique to wet both sides to keep it FLAT, most helpful, because if paper rolls when wet, you lose the effect you desired.

Fan from the US here. I love this technique and I can't wait to try it. I would very much appreciate another video with more details about it. I'm always interested in new techniques, so don't ever apologize for following your Muse down a path that doesn't include doodling. I'm grateful for all of your videos.

I agree you shouldn’t apologize! The color and wrap took you in a direction...as an artist, you go with it! The piece is lovely and I like the effect you got with the wrap. I like the yellow too...it looks like the sun peaking through. Also, I would be interested in colored pencil demos as I use them a lot on their own. I think water color pencils would be interesting too!

I love this so much! I’m very new to watercolor and love using colored pencils, so combining both is perfection in my opinion. Whatever you post, I will watch. I imagine most of your subscribers feel the same. Thank you, CeeCee.

Fabulous even w/o the gold (some spatters of gold would be nice). I love how this turned out and your willingness to try newish things. I love your style and the results you get, oh my, beautiful!!! Keep sharing, would love to see a colored pencil shading how to.

I really loved this piece the loose and whimsical nature. How you accentuated the shapes and created something coherent and beautiful. Very good.

Love your piece and I agree with all the folks here that say you have no need to apologize for not doodling! Haters gonna hate, right? Sadly, no amount of explanation or affirmation will appease them. One reason I REALLY liked this was because I also follow Gerda Lipski on TH-cam. She's a German artist who works in acrylics and also uses plastic wrap to generate very large, complex abstract works. I enjoy watching her process, and have often thought I might give it a go, but on a much smaller scale... Your project today gave me technical tips and personal inspiration that moved me a lot closer to actually trying water color, plastic wrap and colored pencils. I have some other projects to complete first, but if I do give this a shot, it will be entirely your fault!🤣

I love this piece. And please, though we appreciate your attention to our preferences, just go with the flow! And it only serves to present us with new techniques and styles, as well as to share the struggles that come with art making. This truly is a pretty painting and I for one am interested in working more with colored pencil so this was great for me. Keep it up Cee Cee you are amazing.

Cece, a lovely piece. I think it would be good to hear your thoughts on using the pencils. I actually like the yellow. It added a glow to the piece. You did a great job. To doodle or not?? You have to listen to the "art". Thank you for sharing.

I may be your oldest follower. I am 82 and started painting last year. I discovered your tutorials early into my painting and you are my muse and inspiration. I think the plastic wrap and colored pencil art may be my favorite. Keep on doing what you do. When you laugh at yourself you make me laugh. We all need that right now. ...peace and love...
