I love that smoko time is now a regular video feature in some form of another. I always enjoy seeing the notification of a new Scott Brown Carpentry vid.

You have a global audience
Nice vid bro as always 😁🤙 love the color!!! Actually 😉👍
The next “exciting” episode!! ❤️❤️❤️
yeh man, I love this 2m ruler! they're very common back in Germany
As a Germany Jointer/Woodworker(Schreiner) I think I don't know someone that use Meseringtape
Norway too, everyone has one and I use mine daily. It has so many uses.
Another awesome video 👍🏻 cheers Scott
Might have said this before, but you do a really good job videoing and stuff (of course the chipping too) 👌
You do a lot of hand tool work. Kind of cool!
You’ve got the best music!
Thanks for making your videos 🤗
I learn something new with every video you make. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers man 🤙
Speaking of Germans, as i am one them. "How many Germans does it take to screw in a light bulb?..........Only one, because we are efficient and not very funny!"
they also are the masters of filming greek style!
German: knock knock
me: who's there?
German: WE ASK ZE QUESTIONS!
Ha ha ha.. I love that joke.. was first told to me by a very smiley German fella but he said "because we are very efficient and have no sense of humour"
@@adammacer I like this one a lot:
-english captain contacting german coast guard: HELP, we are sinking!
-german coast guard: oh, what are you thinking about?
-english captain: ...
Ha ha. Can I ask you a question because I'm thinking about this. Are you an atheist? I get alot of joy from you. Because you are a Fellow Sentient Human Being. And we are KIN. There is a certain LAW in the universe. The law of good behavior that guides all our actions and thoughts in relation to actions in Life, circumstances, relationships . The law of friendship. that means we are feeling we are in our complete purposefulness when we are united in the gathering with friends.
i really do enjoy your music. as well as your skills. I am definately a diver on the youtubes for new skills and process.... i work in cabinetry in The Columbia, Missouri, U.S. Big jobs, small jobs, you name it. Its stressful right now. Really been enjoying discovering your channel and seeing the builders side of your side of the world, its different here, and could be much better, i only hope to change that. Cheers mate! skate or die.
in norway we use folding rulers for almost everything. mostly Hultafors rulers, the good thing about the Hultafors rulers is that they sell them with the length of 240cm. most of the rooms in normal houses dont go above 240 due to codes and module messurements, so its nice to have the extra 40cm.
Great video mate !
Great work youth 👍🏾👍🏾😊
I still have the festool ruler you sent me and use it all the time bro 💯👊🏽
Good looking door!😎
Great information !!
Good god those jigs look handy but i never hang doors on a day to day basis lol atleast you guys are taking the time to make good all your joints!! Props to yas👌👌
Love it! Merch soon please!
Perfection
I’ve trained myself to give the video a quick like during smoko time. It’s a real Pavlovian response now lol
Love these videos. Great story telling and edits.
Capt Murf and good tunes!
“How many tools do you need” 😂😂 I ask myself the same question nearly every day 😂😂
You can never have enough....
A simple reply is: “Just one more then the last one i bought” 👍🏻
Jordan Rowley I ask myself everyday surely I don’t need many more but I keep proving myself to be wrong
great smoko time shot
As a keen and fairly accomplished DIY'er in Scotland who suffered at the hands of a cowboy builder in the past, I find your videos entertaining, informative, and therapeutic.
So thanks on all accounts.
your work and materials differ from the uk but i do the same , but slightly different ,,but love a well done at the end of a job ,,,,well done scott brown
There’s so much to learn in these videos, so enjoyable Scott
Make sure your jam’s got a groove... ✅
The tiny square did come in handy
And in more ways than I thought
Thanks for another exciting videos, lot to see and more to learn. Nice work
Man i like the way you work. Clean and organized. Do you calculat the price before or do you work in hourly rate?
Great vid - lots of handy hints! Where do you get those clamps?
Wow!
Come ooonnn 100k subs !!
Scotty mate please do one video on plan reading Beacuse there no one in oz and NZ doing one..
hi Scott, very interested in the folding ruler you use, where did you buy, love the vids , learning heaps
Was waiting for the skateboard to come into play... :)
🙂 maybe in some future episodes
Some shiney new cactus pants, how good?!
hi Scott great job on building that door frame but wondering do you have any codes on how it have doors open in my area all doors inside or exterior have to open into room so nothing blocks it incase of fire. Thank you
@scottbrowncarpentry can you do a scott brown carpentry playlist plz
Great time lapses as filler and that message on your van’s dirty hide very clever.
Hey man nice vid just wondering what ear defenders do you use? Looking to get a new pair
Whoa. 8:00 Where can I buy that door hinge jig? But yet again, great freaking work. Here in America, they dont appreciate craftsmanship anymore. I'm glad you're out there setting it square.
Need more videos
"How many tools do you need?" Try and find a Silex Butt Gauge, perfect for swinging doors in rebated jambs. There must be heaps in Auckland, sitting in old guys garages.
@@JT-pc5kp www.thewoodworks.com.au/blog/38-butt-gauge-available-again It sets where the hinge goes on the side of the door and gives a perfect clearance.
Hi Scott
when are you going to do a video on the milwauke m18 10inch dropsaw.
Can you get hold of magic door grippers in nz? They are brilliant for door work.
How are you liking the makita L class vacuum on the drop saw? Ive just ordered the M class one but something like that would be good for small timber work.
I need to know where you got your hinge jig from! I have been looking everywhere for a solid one!
whats your hinge jig you use? love the simple design of it
How much gap do you leave on exterior doors? I left only 5 mm but had to bring it to 8 mm a year later after the door swelled too much and was hard to open. Thanks
Thanks for answering the questions about the folding rule! I like having one for smaller projects and using the tape measure for larger projects. I also like using the folding rule to make a star. My younger nieces and nephews get a kick out of that.
0:01 thought you were lighting up a joint there Scotty
Hi, love your videos! Is there a link in a description for your hinge jig and Japanese pull saw? Thank you 😊
cool music,. sil pans baby. lates
Gotta love German efficiency.
Would love to see a video of you using our tool - get in touch Scott!
When you like the video before it even starts
No trend hinge jig in NZ.
How many tools do you need. Just one more .......... Question what hinge jig are you using, thanks
How many tools do you need ? Great question, i buy tools to reward or treat myself, bought a lot of tools this year as i live in Ireland and lots of people here feel that Brexit when GB leaves the EU will cause items to increase, found Amazon to be good value on most items coupled with a good exchange rate a few weeks ago , bought Makita trim router because seen it used on your videos great tool
Hi Scott, you dont have premade doors/doorframes in NZ ? in Scandinavia we use premades, where all you need to do is to level it and make sure its diagonal when you install it , seems like alot of work , interesting work but still ^^
Diagonal......like ../...? Lol
Yeah we usually use premade, it worked out a bit better cost wise to out this one together though
Spring time, south of the equator.
there are 1m rulers? I only know the 2m ones, the 1m variant pretty much doesnt exist in germany
Another request for Hinge jig details please :)
Check out @littleredken on Instagram. He made the jig with a 3D printer
@@ScottBrownCarpentry Trying that but seems to be an unused account:)
Found him. Silly me :)
Scott did you ever do any metal stud framing?
In Germany the folding Ruler is called "Meterstab/Zollstock"
Why did you use the Japanese saw instead of the miter? Just curious to know if there is a method behind that that I don’t understand
Are the hinges constructed so you can’t just pop the pins out? I’d be worried that having the hinges on the outside would make it really easy for somebody to just remove the door if they wanted to break in.
On the van door it says "Thanks for washing" 😎
Does it not worry u that the door is an exterior door and it opens going out? People have access to the door latch, unless r u planing on putting a steel plate to protect it form people tampering with the latch and deadbolt to try and break in.
How do you like the Tough Built compact foldable horses
What are the done screwdriver you use in your impact driver
What's the name of that particular jig clamp? Do they come in different sizes for different size hinges?
What is the Smoko Time music from? It's driving me crazy, I can't figure it out Haha Video game or something
Redminds me of donkey kong for some reason
11:00 "Thanks for watching" :)
What was that router guide you used on the door hinges?
Hi Scott, quick question, are you a minimalist?
What Is the pen at 4:55 ??!! when I do an under 1mm work I use a ruling pen, but the pen looks like very useful.
do you have the heavy duty or the light heavy duty dewalt table saw? not sure what one to go for, about $400 different in price
That title reminds me of Bentleys :D
I followed your example, *GREAT SCOTT* and very grateful I did....I got me $25 padded suspenders for my tool belt....I took a pass on the $700 Occidentals/tool belt.
You have changed my life forever on the work site...cheers
Hey mate, where'd you get the hinge jig from? Cheers
Hey Scotty what brand of hinge jig is that?
Really like the look of that hinge jig. Have you got more info on it please, I’d like to buy one for work.
Same here would be very handy
@@vespagd67 i still find a fence on a trimmer/router is more efficient than that jig. We used a similar jig out of ply wood and found the set up was too long when it came to hinging 300 doors . in the end you still have to chisel the corners and you will find you have more control if you use only a fence.
are the pins of the hinges on the outside?
How does that makita dust extractor go ??
shouldve said "thanks for washing" on the van at the end^^
Is it easy to put a shed together?
No pre hung doors in New Zealand?
