I'm so glad I checked. I totally assumed that my kitchen microwave was mounted to the wall and not the overhead cabinet. I started removing the mounting wall screws from the cabinet, would have been fun to have the cabinet and a 25 lb microwave slam down onto my range!
Any idea if you are able to remove the moulded bottom plate that creates the "feet" of the microwave once it's hung? We've noticed that the underneath of the microwave is very visible when it's right at eye level. All of the promotional images conveniently don't show that bit.

Mine is a bit lower so don't notice it but I see what you mean. Looks like it is a main cover for the bottom and shouldn't be removed 😞😕.

How about if your microwave does not have holes in it
Then, it was probably not made to mount by hanging under the cabinet

im sure he figured it out by now but there's a much easier way to find the screws holes on the 1st attempt without drilling multiple holes lol
