- This video took 2 months to create. In that time I picked 3 random house plants that have zero business being in a aquarium, to see if I could get any of them to survive.

Dustin is such a helpful aquascape master. Thanks again for the great videos!
Hey thank you Violet 🤙
Your videos are great and have come a long way thanks for the info
Thank you my friend 🤙
So glad I found your channel 🎉 I’m wanting to try this also.
I'm happy you found me! 🤙
Enjoy yourself digging through videos.
Hey Dustin, in supplies you mentioned mesh bag but I missed where that came into play during prep and assembly. Also, what is the substrate you use in the croton? Thanks for the videos, my fish love the plants!
During editing I meant to remove the mesh bag comment because I realized it was an unnecessary step.
The substrate I used was just common bio media. All aquarium companies make it, however Topfin was the cheapest.
Your other option for making a houseplant into a hydroponic plant would be to use (Leca) which can be found at many plant nurseries. 🤙
@@yourtap awesome! Thanks!
I have a spider plant baby forming roots in a little jar. Is there anything I should know if I want to keep it growing out of the aquarium?
It should be at the surface growing emersed. Besides that I know riddon plants are a popular terrarium plant. 🤙
Hey Dustin, does TH-cam have a way to message/ send pictures to you directly? I have a few plants in my aquarium from someone that I need help identifying. Thanks
You can email me if you'd like.

@@yourtap... is that email real or are you messing with me? 🤣 if it's real I appreciate that! Sorry if it was too personal to ask, just curious about some plants and you're the only source I've come to trust on TH-cam lol
@@unclejerry88 it's most definitely mine. I'll prove it when I receive videos or pictures from you 🤙
