Have loved Stevie Ray for 40 years, regret never seeing him play live, but so glad there are videos of him and Double Trouble. For more Texas blues check out Delbert McCinton, he's great and plays a mean harmonica!! Enjoy your channel!
Check out "Leave My Girl Alone," Austin, Texas. Flawless. Aggressive. Stevie meant business! From same concert as the "Mary Had A Little Lamb performance. That whole 1989 concert is dynamic from beginning to end, with SRV blisteringly hot (as always), with both SRV and Double Trouble on fire on stage, and their teamwork showing perfect control of the dangerously exciting conflagration. There's no doubt that the guitars, bass, drums, and keys bore scorch marks at the end of the night! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I've been waiting for this reaction you guys are great there are several great ones still to do both from capital theater ain't gone n give up on love and couldn't stand the weather are great thanks
I was at Stevie Ray Vaughn's last concert the night his helicopter crashed after the show at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin August 26th 1990. The fog was so bad that we stopped and got a hotel room on the way home. The next morning when I heard the horrible news was one of the saddest days of my life. The lineup was SRV, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and Buddy Guy. RIP SRV!
👏🙌👋 great reaction guys‼️ it has been a minute but glad you circled back; aren't you? How much fun is he to watch and listen to? Keep coming back for more and I will be here for it.🎸🎶💙
Great reaction! One of my favorite performances! Have you checked out “Tin Pan Alley” with Stevie and his friend Johnny Copeland? More deep Blues. Thanks again!
I was so excited to see y’all back to SRV❤️❤️❤️. I love your reactions. And completely agree w the suggestion below suggesting Ain’t Gone And Give Up On Love live from The Capitol Theater. Actually, there are so many great videos of SRV still out there. I’ll be here for every one y’all react to!
The lyrics were NOT really a nursery rhyme. “Mary had a little lamb it’s fleece was black as coal…” SRV is/was the GOAT. I had the honor of seeing him 2X❤️
Here are a few links to some SRV I don't believe you have reacted too. There is a mix of audio and video files. I wish there was video to go with a few of the songs. The best we can do is close our eyes and imagine, visualize Stevie playing every guitar note we hear. th-cam.com/video/IlBxld-kvAQ/w-d-xo.html ... #Long Way From Home (LIVE audio Stevie Ray & Jimmy Vaughan) th-cam.com/video/XCfSDYEtNgo/w-d-xo.html ... #All Your Love I Miss Lovin' (LIVE audio only) th-cam.com/video/pV2pyWoTXs4/w-d-xo.html ... #Champagne & Reefer (LIVE video/ SRV & Buddy Guy July 1989) th-cam.com/video/820u5aQ-HRg/w-d-xo.html ... #Ain't Gonna Give Up On Love (LIVE video Capital Theater) th-cam.com/video/sYEEovuhsgY/w-d-xo.html ... #Third Stone from the Sun (LIVE video/ El Macambo Hendrix cover) th-cam.com/video/KbtmJqIwrZg/w-d-xo.html ... #Manic Depression (LIVE audio only Hendrix cover th-cam.com/video/_oQWVtbKEdw/w-d-xo.html ... #They Call Me Guitar Hurricane (LIVE audio only)
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble ... 'Double Trouble' is/was Chris Layton on drums and Tommy Shannon on bass. Reese Wynans, keyboards, came a couple years later. I think SRV should have changed the groups name to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Triple Threat after picking up Reese. Just saying ... RIP SRV
He is simply the best ever. You are correct, they were called Double Trouble. Absolutely superb musicians.
Everybody loves Stevie Ray
