Oh yes Stevie Ray Vaughan stank face Maximus 💯🤘 I had the pleasure of meeting him and shaking his wonderful beautiful hand and talking to him, He was a very humble Beautiful soul (RIP) I wish he was still here with us. I love him. the best guitarist I ever met thank you for jamming him 👍🥰🎵🎧📀I love your channel and you too🎸🎙️✌️
It takes some time to listen to all of SRV's music. I know, I have been listening for years. He's astoundingly talented and a great guy. Another great guitarist you might want to check out is Eric Steckel. He tours a lot in Europe, so a lot of folks don't know who he is but I think you'll enjoy his guitar style. On his albums, he plays guitar, keyboard, and bass. And he sings. Okay that's my ad for Eric Steckel. Thanks for this one SRV totally rocks!!
Justin, thanks for taking me up on this one. Figured as such, just messing with you. Sorry, 2 days late due to life. The way nursery rhymes should be introduced to kids. If you're into Terry Kath, check out "Poem 58" off Chicago's first, the CTA album [has some killer bass for you also for you to enjoy]. I just subbed for those coming SRV reactions, and yea, "Life Without You" live from the Capitol theatre is probably my favorite 👍
✌️🙌Thanks Justin‼️ as I went to watch this I was hoping you would pause to talk but to my great surprise you didn't talk over the great music! I appreciate your reading comments and responding. It means a lot. I will look forward to your next one. I love this rendition Stevie does. Originally this is a Buddy Guy arrangement that Stevie built upon. He and Buddy Guy were best of friends and Buddy is still playing the blues at his Chicago Club at age 85! I love the part where Stevie takes his pick off the mic stand and kisses it. His close relationship with every part of his guitar is what sets him apart from most everyone. For more Resse Wynan licks, check out "Couldn't Stand the Weather" from the Capitol Theatre in 1985. Great song from DT but Reese is really smoking it🔥.as you can can tell from the Tin Pan Alley w/ Johnny Copeland performance that everyone was lost in the groove. What a thrilling performance from everyone on that great rendition. Just magical. Life Without You from the Capitol Theatre contains everything and then some. Lots of surprises for you but you should know going in that Stevie wrote that song when his good friend Charley Wirz, a Dallas guitar shop owner, passed away suddenly. Charley was the one who put that white guitar together from parts for Stevie. So it is a very touching and emotional song and his masterful playing is a loving tribute to his friend. As far as Dirty Pool goes, probably choose the one from them1982 (1983?) Montreux Jazz Festival. So now I am watching for your next trip down the SRV rabbit hole! Keep on going there is plenty of room down here✌️💙
Its hard to have just one favorite with Stevie, but dirty pool is up there with the others. Looking forward to it, it doesn't get its deserved recognition. Truth is though, it's just another version of a song he did with Marc Benno & the Nightcrawlers way back in 1973 called 8 Ball. Both great songs but dirty pool is so much better than it began. Try fitting "all your love I miss loving" on your Stevie list for me too would you? Ive got like fifty more I want to see, like from Rome inn or when he (age 15) recorded "I heard a voice last night" with Cast of Thousands, minutes after meeting the band and never hearing the song before... but I'll be happy with just the one for now. You're doing fine work sir. Bug you on the next one.
Actually, if you want to see Reese go wild, you should check out "Look at Little Sister". Then, if you haven't seen it, you must check out the other version of "Look at Little Sister " with Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Healey. Jeff Healey fills in the Reese part, so no Reese, but holy freaking shit, you should see Jeff and Stevie Ray, just making you happy you're alive, to see that performance. I'm not even kidding. I'm Subbing to you, because you love Stevie Ray as much as I do. I haven't seen your other videos yet, but if you haven't already seen "Texas Flood "- Live at El Mocambo, you should check it out.
Ha! First time visitor and I knew exactly what you were laughing about when you mentioned Reese. I'm a drummer and have seen hundreds of people play keyboards but I've never seen anyone flatten their hand and bend their fingers kinda' upwards/backwards like he does when playing. It looks WEIRD!! Lol!
I'm a huge SRV fan... please forgive... Stevie Ray was taken from us suddenly, we only had him a sort amount of time. He was to some like Kobe Bryant was, to this generation. And his fans are loyal to a fault. Around 7yrs. was to Short RIP: Stevie Ray U R Missed 💔 He was a shooting star that burnt so bright, he caught the world on fire... and then moved on.
One of my favourites by stevie and double trouble so much talent 😎 seen as you're a bass player id love to see you react to John entwistle band shaking all over undoubtedly the best bass player to have lived 🤘 and ive never seen any react to it before either
Very very few people can claim they speak thru thier instruments... he Sings thru his! Interesting facts... he uses Jimi Hendrix wha wha pedal! It was given to him after his death by his family as they were Great friends! Also... Jimi played a right handed guitar left handed... making the whammy bar be on top... if ya noticed... Stevie put his on top too! Unfortunately... they're part of the GOATS club way too soon along with Jimi and Randy Rhoads! Gone bu Never Forgotten!!!
Pink Floyd is actually another band that I didn't get into when I was younger.. so that would definitely be a rabbit hole for me lol Right now i'm i've been digging into SRV and Rush lately.
I am not a guitar player so educate. However, it looks like he gets tons of flex in those strings. Maybe I just watch him play closer then others. I also understand he used a heavier gauge string? If someone more knowledgeable could let us know it would be appreciated.
Standard three-chord blues progression. Competent, but not really impressive. -- Some obscure, rando guitarist on TH-cam reacting to this performance. As for me, I'm not a musician, so I don't know. I don't even know what a standard three-chord progession is, although I have heard the term used before.
Whats impressive is what is done with the progression. How 'difficult' a song is really doesn't matter and is frankly subjective. Modal jazz tunes that are one or two tonalities like 'So What' Miles Davis is impressive because of what the musicians do with the tune. How they're able to shape the song and their use of chord tones, tensions, phrasing, rhythm, etc.
@@JustinPanariello Thanks for the reply. I guess it goes to show that nobody is gonna be liked by everybody. I love listening to SRV, but Miles Davis just sounds like unpleasant noise to me.

SRV-the BEST that ever was.
Bro stevie was FEELING it that night. So in the pocket. So effortless. So free flowing. So natural.
Insane
BEST Blues /Rock Guitarist to have ever walked the Planet, also, not said enough, what a awesome voice!
That 25-30 seconds of Stevie after Reese's solo is SO good. Just classic SRV.
Stevie was a gentleman. If you were on stage with him, he would let you shine. But then he would remind everyone why they came to the show.
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 THE goat of all goats
Happy Birthday Stevie Ray Vaughan Oct 3 / 1954. ❤ love Mary had a Little Lamb. RIP to the King ❤
Little Sister …Austin,Texas ….busts a string, never skips a beat…❤️SRV FOREVER
I like that you do not stop and speak quietly as it plays on ...
One of the all-time greatest! Sure was a sad sad day in the music world when he died.
RIP SRV.
The bass player, Tommy Shannon, played at Woodstock with Johnny Winter.
Love many musicians, Love many Guitar players…. Stevie always will be for me above all . RIP KING ❤
UMMMM.PERFECT!!!!
I was lucky to see Stevie live 3 times before he passed. (im old) How great he was!
I saw him twice, including the night before he died.
I saw him 3 times also including 6 weeks before he died at Jones beach theater on long island ny, the day he left us was a sad sad day, RIP SRV.

Riviera Paradise from the same show highlights Reese Wynans really well.
I know/love that song havent seen it live yet tho
Every time I see a SRV reaction video pop up on my suggested videos, I think if I could go back in time and pull him off that helicopter.
The best

Thanks! I'm a bit surprised he didn't break a string, here.. lol
