This is by far the best log cabin video. Your instructions and detail explanations were great. Thank you. I’m enjoying binge watching your videos and learning.

Completely wonderful! Thank you, Kaye! Great advice on sewing my favorite block. And as an American living in England, I just like hearing your voice and "visiting" with you!
I’m getting ready to make my first quilt ever. My mom was a quilter, she had purchased some material to make my daughter a quilt but was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s before she got started good. After she passed, I found her material and after watching some videos on quilting, realized she was making the log cabin squares. I hope to finish this quilt for my daughter and your video makes so much more sense on sewing the fabric into squares. Thank you for sharing this with us. I plan on watching many more of your tutorials on quilt making.
This is the best video on Log Cabin technique! I’ve made log cabin quilts and they just haven’t come out quite right. I made 4 blocks your way and have vast improvement! For such a simple block it sure can same me lol. Thank you
Thank you so much for clear and helpful tips that I can’t find anywhere else I already improve so much with my sewing my blocks I hope you will have many more tips to share in the future 🙏🇹🇭
I’m a newbie and making a wonky log cabin for the first time because I really had no idea how the best way to work these problems out. Seeing your videos is like taking a class. But only with the best teachers in the school. ❤
Enjoyed it immensely! You always make me laugh and you don't disappoint with the learning tips that only come with experience :) Blessings Kaye! Oh and Bryan too, assuming he's the one filming and putting this together.
Thank you so so much from a newbie quilter! Your hints and tips for keeping your block square are brilliant. I’ve always loved the look of a log cabin quilt but have been intimidated at the thought of actually making one but I feel like if I just follow your instructions I could have a go. So greetings from sunny South Australia and bless you for the help!
Thanks for all these "log cabin" tips - I'm an experienced seamstress and always had trouble getting these logs to turn out. They bowed out at the end. So now there is confidence to return to log cabin sewing. :-)
I have been running each round on a long strip so that I stay in order then trimming. Now I am doing one with your flipping upside-down and block on top. It is much easier. Thank you.
Your channel just popped up on my YT feed. I appreciate the time that you took to explain and show how to keep these rails/logs straight. I will soon start a log cabing quilt top for my brother... I am now so excited to start this project. Thank you for sharing your expertise. Take care, blessings to y'all.
Kaye!!! Thank you so much for posting this video. I’m in a quilting group on MeWe and just getting ready to start on some log cabin blocks (first for me) and one of the members suggested I watch your video. She was right….and I am so excited to get started….especially with these new tips and tricks under my belt. Trouble is a brewin’! Thanks again! 🥳
Oh my, years ago I heard the name Mary Ellen Hopkins! Today, I heard her name again after rediscovering you! I have tears in my eyes, reminiscing of time that has passed by too quickly. What a joy, you are always inspiring funny, down to earth and so relatable.
Hi Kaye! This is a block I have yet to make! The techniques you share will be helpful as I attempt this block in the future. I'm still working on Civil War Legacy, then on to Voices of the Past! I thank you for your videos on TH-cam. I know as I move on to each block and on to the next project I have your videos to help me succeed!
just wondered if you ever heard the story about the log cabin quilt. it has been said that back in the older days they would put a yellow center or a red one, then they would hang them on the porch. it would tell the Indian's they where welcome. the yellow meant the light was on the red was the heart of the home..Just thought I'd share
I'm unclear on the question. There are pop up ads that may show but I don't show any book - - just the patterns for the log cabins that is in the info below. I did see a yellow book in an AD but that is not from me - - just a TH-cam ad - - hope this answers....
